My thoughts about this bot: 1. Do not start the bot with the default settings - it is not the best option.
2. Trade with a small lot (0.01-0.1)
3. Do not start with small intervals, short run time and large trade amounts.
4. One should keep eye at the chart all the time - we need to understand what is going on.
5. Deposit should be 5-10 times greater of trading lot.
6. Better distribution of the initial deposit - half in cripto, half in fiat. Otherwise, a misunderstanding possible due to start recalibration when the bot equalize deposit automatically.
Let's say the price of 200 today, then make a deposit 1BTC + 200USD.
7. I have this bot earns monthly about 10% of the portfolio with xbtc's evaluation, or at least twice with the common evaluation of profit (see the text end).
8. It is not necessary to calculate the profit separately for the cripto and separately for bucks. There are clear concept: the portfolio value can be represented in stable currency. Let's do it.
9. Do not rush - start with the demo, wait, let it to work .
10. Before starting the bot make a separate account on the stock exchange and make the deposite.
11. Bitcoinwisdom is your best friend.
12. Choose a pair with a maximum volatility for trading.
13. Do not think about profit, think about the cost of the deposit. If the price falls to 10% as long as you heroically earn 50% on the transaction amount of 5% of the deposit, that means you loose 7.5% of all that you have. You should not try to see profits where it is not.
As compared to other bots: xbtc.org uses a complex evaluation of profit, which results seems low. If you can deal with it - it really helps you to understand what is happening in the world of bitcoin robots. Here is my post about this method

If it's too hard to agree - just use "Pending Profit" for the comparison. But! The beauty of the xbtc's system that it keeps track of your profit / loss even when you do not trade, cause the price is changes all the time, 24/7.
How to choose the parameters: Very simple. Open a Demo in a few browser windows, set different values of a parameter, wait, compare, repeat all over again.
How I trade: "Lambda": 500 >
Optimum somewhere in the area. At 40 or 4000 I get less profit. "Sample interval": 1 hour > we do not hurry, the diagramm is smooth and clear. "Trade Gap": 0.1% > the most important thing! My experiments show: less gap = larger profit. The difference with 0.1 and 1 is minimum 2 times. "Trade Lot": I set as 15-20% of the deposit. "Extended": "All" Other parameters - by default
Start - 22.07 16:00 GMT + 3
End - 02.08 23.00
Profit on Hold = PLUS $ 14
Pending profit = PLUS $ 68.5
at 10 days $ 54.5 net profit I'm trading this way more than a month. First, I had to fight with the settings, but this worth it.
Falling market:
Start - 28.07 13:00 GMT + 3
End - 03.08 4:30
Profit on Hold = minus $ 16
Pending profit = plus $ 5
5 days $ 21 net profitThis settings a little different, because I took illustration of what is. It is difficult to find the right pictures. In fact, the parameters do not change during a fall - I was just trying to illustrate the area with clean recession !!
My Conclusion: bot is definitely profitable and worth it's price.
The main parameters that determines the profit is "Trade Gap" and "Lambda".
Profits should always be determined in USD, even if it is not in trading pair.
All described here is only the first step. There is still a lot of settings to improve and opportunities to increase profit.
It's a new service - there are bugs, but they mainly concern the interface and does not affect trade. A support sometimes freezes, but bugs are exterminated, and the answers come.
P.S. Support says - losses are possible,if you use "Trading Gap" less then 0.4% (2*BTC-e commision)
