Yes i got this email, I apologize aswell

Hi,

In my email yesterdsy I told you our BITSTAMP account has

been hacked and 1.8 BTC has been stolen.

This money belonged to  SBIF, the SurfScientist Bitcoin Investment Fund.

We have another fund, held at Coinbase, that contains the money

for the Shared profit Plan (the weekly payouts). These funds are

unaffected and the Shared Profit Plan operates as before.

It's a bad enough thing to lose one's own money, but is far more terrible

to lose funds trusted to you by someone else. I will not expose myself

to such experience again. Therefore, the Investment Fund will be re-openend

but with some important changes :

1) it is not possible to directly deposit BTC into the Fund anymore. The only
way to put funds in there is by setting the 'PayoutToFund" flag in your
memberprofile to "Yes". This will deposit your weekly payouts from the
Shared profit Plan into the fund.

2) you will still earn 0.25% daily over your SBIF balance.

3) You can withdraw your SBIF balance when it reaches the 0.001 btc minimum payout level.

4) When you SBIF Balance grows to > 0.01 BTC it will be automatically paid out.

These  rules ensure the fund will not grow to a size I cannot recover in
case of disaster.

There's been a big explosion in the lab - but we're still alive and kicking!

i'm not sure whether the owner can be trusted or not, who knows if John Moles is even a real name?

John Moles has always been very above-board and always pays commissions promptly.  Steve Taurman and I go way back.  He owns several Viral Mailers and always pays commissions on time.  My experiences doing business with these men has been very positive.

That 1995 HTML hurts my brain.

Tell them that their own lack of credential security does not obviate them from financial obligations. They can get 1.8 BTC in a few hours on localbitcoins.com.

Just received a Email from Surf Scientist they were hacked for all their BTC.

Great i lost my lil 0.03 i had with them any donations is appreciated i dont mine so the lil BTC i make comes from faucets and other things.

The help is Appreciated here is the email:

The BITSTAMP account we used to trade the SBIF funds has been hacked!

An unauthorized withdrawal of all funds was done:
2014-01-09 08:08:26 62.210.129.149 Opened bitcoin withdrawal request
for 1.86635212 BTC to 1PMuGpBy61MLptYS7Re698U59MhkAbJvu2

We did NOT authorize that withdrawal but still BITSTAMP processed it.

We are in touch with their support staff to resolve this.

I am very, very sorry about this. The SBIF feature was very succesful and we all were making good progress with it.

IF Bitstamp can recover the funds we will bring SBIF back online asap!
