I do not know about the hypothesis of hacked or sold account, but the password has not changed.[1]
zanzibar sent merits to many accounts "after the ranks demoted," many of these accounts have the same "Date Registered," "Local Time" and writing style.
Is this not enough evidence?

Tagged the user proactively. If they make any replies then it'll require more attention but I feel like this is an instance of stolen-account syndrome.

The post history makes the (original) user seem to be someone who actually posts in discussions, rather than stay idle for months while sending out merit. Too suspicious.

I just posted a few pictures to prove that these Merit are obviously not worth it.
zanzibar sent 15 Merit to newbies in two days, most of which are spams, or links, and even deleted posts. This is very suspicious.

This is just a proof post.

Spam about "good projects".

And posts that have been deleted, definitely not of high quality, otherwise it will not be deleted.
