It looks like the account "administrator" is just a bot scrapping posts from bitcointalk and publishing them there.
Most of its posts are 2-3 seconds apart from each other. I don't think it can be done by copy pasting manually.
It teminds me of the .to phishing website though!

Side note:  Looking over historical instances of the site, I’ve seen that some boards, cloned from Bitcointalk in name, come and go. Amongst them there was the:
I would assume they lacked enough activity to keep up with the number of boards on bitcointalk, or else they would have entirely duplicated the layout on their forum.

Maybe some highly-motivated forum detectives can keep an eye on it.
All the threads I skimmed through there were started by one profile, so there are very little users visiting the site. Any plagiarism would likely be copied from here and pasted there, and there's nothing that can be done to stop them, right?

Comparing the time of posting, it seem like the users posted them first in bitcointalk and then on Swiftcointalk an hour later, it only mean the Administrator of that forum had plagiarized the posts here.

Didn't know there is a forum about that coin. It doesn't look like there are users willing to participate there, i rarely see some threads answered by someone. Except the old threads back in 2013.

So the posts are posted first in swiftcointalk and then bitcointalk ?  If this is true, then these bitcointalk account should be banned for plagiarism.
However if admin / people are copying posts from bitcointalk to any other forum, there is nothing much we can do.
That is true.  The same situation happened when cryptotalk.org was just kicking off, and members there were doing all sorts of cross-posting between that forum and bitcointalk.  No surprise there, since cryptotalk attracted the crud that's stuck to the bottom of the barrel of bitcointalk for their membership, so the only things that were/are posted on cryptotalk are plagiarized or totally incoherent spam.

Never heard of swiftcointalk, but I bet there's going to be lots of cross-posting going on as well--examples of which have already been posted by OP.  Maybe some highly-motivated forum detectives can keep an eye on it.

I’m also considering it to be some sort of stunt to try to become present in search engine results by association to Bitcoin.
Yeah, that's certainly a possibility.

I’m also considering it to be some sort of stunt to try to become present in search engine results by association to Bitcoin.

Trying to see its archived origins, I did not find anything meaningful, although anectodically the first captures displayed under the "who is online" a registered user called "Alexa [Bot]" … could be showing its knickers here …:

Which I presume migrated to the current "Beginners & Help" when the restrictions were lifted (content seems to be there):

(4 moderators on that board in 2012? There must have been some seriously nasty posts to deal with back then, or the Newbie up-rank procedure was way different.)

just a question. is swiftcointalk.org related to bitcointalk.org or a back up for bitcointalk.org? I've seen swiftcointalk.org before but didn't bother about it but earlier I was checking about plagiarism
I also remember stumbling upon the site when I was checking for plagiarism sometime back and i don't think it's in any way related to Bitcointalk. If it was, admin would have made an announcement about it.

This site copies some of spam topics, and even these are not very high quality.
It is not a back up, but rather it tries to gain some free views and visits that make the site have traffic or more views.

old bitcointalk dot to was Copying all content tries to get the same traffic as this forum.

admin account is just bot that copy random topics for zero reward.
There were many sites that copy the database of the forum more professionally. (Not selective scam topics)

An administrator with 42600 post, rank is newbie. What is this?  Roll Eyes
AFAIK, even in this forum there were no ranks, so I think that all old ranks (2010-2012) were newbies.

just a question. is swiftcointalk.org related to bitcointalk.org or a back up for bitcointalk.org? I've seen swiftcointalk.org before but didn't bother about it but earlier I was checking about plagiarism and stumbled upon several threads existing here which also exist on that forum. after r a thread is posted here there seems to be an hour or so time gap before the thread posted there. I took several screenshots of the thread from here and swiftcointalk.org for reference. I adjusted the image size so it would be small than the original size and still readable.

Nobody have control over swiftcointalk and it is also a new name for me.

I don't have a problem if swiftcointalk.org plagiarised a thread from bitcointalk I was just curious if swiftcointalk.org was related in anyway to bitcointalk that is why I ask the question but as tranthidung said swiftcointalk.org has no relation to bitcointalk.

Swfitcointalk is based on SMF and interface look a bit similar (rather immature) to bitcointalk but for sure there is no link between the forums. If ever there is any link in any forum, theymos will inform us first.

swiftcointalk.org copies the thread from this forum.

All good then. You may clock this thread.

They've been around for quite a while - what is swiftcoin
The developers and administrators, who may be the same person, seem to be trying to affiliate both the forum and the coin to Bitcoin and are probably scrapping posts from this forum. Going through the most recent posts on the forum, there are so many of them with 'bitcoin' in its title or text (SEO marketing), which were likely plagiarized from here.

I could not find a logo of the project, but there is one of Bitcoin on the forum;

They're probably looking for cheap publicity by associating themselves with bitcoin, nothing to really discuss.

I am sure that it is not a backup of bitcointalk.org. Why do you think that the reputable forum need to have such a backup? Many low quality forums try to fork from bitcointalk.org.  Cheesy

From the UI of swiftcointalk.org, I think it is a copycat from https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/.

An administrator with 42600 post, rank is newbie. What is this?  Roll Eyes

If you follow up the progress of Epochtalk, the new forum software, you should know that theymos does backup for the forum that will be used for any transition
