I would be building the PC so thats not a problem. Just hoped that the fact its the same chipset, manufacturer, cpu etc it was a straight swap.

Bit of a general question but hopefully someone can advise me. Basically i have a Asrock Pro4 Z270 (1151 socket) mobo which is running my rig at the moment. In the future I will be turning the rig into a PC for a family member and selling off all but one of the cards.

Basically if i buy the Asrock Pro 4 Z270 MicroATX (1151 socket) mobo, can I just swap everything over to it from the Standard ATX Pro4 Z270 mobo?

Have you considered buying the uATX motherboard for use as a PC instead of handing over your current one? If your family member isn't a PC builder, you could always tell them that you don't want to give them an "old & abused" board... Tongue
