We wanted to stand up our own merge-mined pool because we found with Syscoin 1.x (which is scrypt algo) there were actually several pool operators mining Syscoin alongside LTC without telling their miners about it or paying that SYS to their miners. There were very few public pools offering SYS as a merge mined coin, and because the "private" pools were putting in so much hash solo mining wasn't an option. We wanted to provide an offering in this regard to give miners a fair shot in addition to contributing to the safety and security of the Bitcoin and Syscoin network. We hope more miners will join us.
I'm working on getting the pool added to more Bitcoin mining lists as well!
