I have ordered once from thuisbezorgd.nl - I kinda payed the local snackcorner in bitcoin, im sure he doesnt even know they exist.  Tongue

you are correct, the actual resturants just recieve fiat, but atleast this is a first step to mainstreaming. once we get grocery stores and clothing stores accepting bitcoin even indirectly. it wuld then be easier to approach individual stores to accept bitcoin directly, thus profiting more by not having middleman fee's

its a stepping stone task, you cant just leap into mainstream, you gotta take it one step at a time

a few of us have been pestering the UK food delivery companies for the last year of so, such as the main one just-eat, aswell as hungryhouse and others, but now takeaway has taken on the challenge it shouldnt be long untill just-eat adopts bitcoin to match its competitor.

once food establishments start getting more widespread, we can then use this as the example to show to grocer stores and other mainstream merchants.

i know takeaway is not healthy but atleast if our FIAT accounts get frozen or overtaxed by government, we wont starve atleast.. but will get fat

I'm from the USA, how big is takeaway.com?

takeaway.com is UK/Europe/asian, the eurasian versions are
Thuisbezorgd.nl
Pizza.be
Lieferservice.de
Pizza.fr
Lieferservice.at
Lieferservice.ch
Pizza.dk
Pizza.lu
Pizza.ie
Vietnammm.com

not all of these european/asian sites display bitcoin on the main page.

if as you say you are american you can always try foodler.com

This is the only place where I can use my bitcoins! Hopefully we'll have more adoption soon here in London!

Still no places around my area. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Really? I had about 20 places to choose from Smiley

I hadn't seen any notice of this and not really sure how long they have been accepting but i think it should be bigger news than it is.

I have just ordered my dinner from a takeaway registered with them and looking forward to my first meal paid for in crypto. Smiley Just wish it was delivered with drones in 10 minutes  Grin

If you are in the UK check out the site, there is loads of choice and bitcoin makes it nice and easy to pay obviously. takeaway.com

Yeah, it's been mentioned several times, but I'm surprised it isn't more popular. I'd like to buy something with my coins, but I'm a miser and a hodler  Grin.

What did you order?

Nice selection of Thai food. Can't wait  Cheesy
