Are they pro-muslim or simply anti-orthodox?

Right now, most of the Wikipedia admins in religion related topics are from four religious groups- Catholics, Evangelicals, Jews and Muslims. All the articles in the religion section have a bias favoring these religions. And there is a strong negative bias against Orthodox, Hindus, Buddhists.etc. (I was a Wikipedia editor until 2011. Quit wiki, when the bias became too much).

For example, most of the articles related to the Hindu religion have been vandalized by the cabal (largely composed of evangelical and catholic christians from south India).

Tatarstan is perhaps the only Muslim dominated region in the world, which is progressive (I don't think that the Muslims are a majority there, although the Tatars are close to 50% of the population. A lot of them are atheists and Christians). Now Russia should make sure that it stays that way. In the recent years, there has been a lot of negative influence from Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Today, Sunni Islam is the most common faith in Tatarstan, as 55% of the population is Muslim.

Wikipedia is notoriously biased and inaccurate. Their source for the 55% figure is the Bibilical Studies Institute:

Look at the tables given in that article. Exaggerating the number of Muslims, and undercounting the number of Orthodox everywhere.

53% of the Tatarstan population is ethnic Tatar. Out of that 4-5% is Orthodox and an even bigger proportion is Atheist. There are almost no Muslims among the remainder (47% of the population). So it is more likely to be in the 40%-45% range.

As long as they kill each other I am happy about it, just leave the rest of the world out of it.

You should know by now they're never going to let that happen, I do believe that the only way we're going to beat these people in the long run is for all the sane people to come together so that these guys can't attack us individually and let these fuckers kill each other off.

The Russian Orthodox Church is the second largest active religion in Tatarstan, and has been so for more than 150 years, with an estimated 1.6 million followers made up of ethnic Russians, Mordvins, Armenians, Belarusians, Mari people, Georgians, Chuvash and a number of Orthodox Tatars which together constitute 45% of the 3.8 million population of Tatarstan.

The problem as Russia has chosen to allied with the Shias with the goals of killing as many Sunnis as possible, knowing that Islam is majority Sunnis... It hard to understand why there isn't more backlash on Russian soil... Yet.

A few years of mosk building, a little bit of artificial economic difficulties and of course some vehement imams and the situation can quickly change.

"Tatarstan prosecutor's office opened an investigation on the post published in a social network by 35-year-old Ramil Ibragimov. On his Instagram account, he posted a photo and commented on the tragic event happened recently in the United States, showing his attitude to the mass shooting in the Pulse nightclub visitors, Orlando. The post was quickly replicated in social networks and caused a wide public resonance. During the investigation, a legal assessment of the user’s actions will be given," Senior Assistant Prosecutor of Tatarstan on public relations Ruslan Galiev said to a Tatar-Inform correspondent.

On June 11, US national Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured 53 others at Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando. The Orlando massacre has become the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States, surpassing the death toll from the 2007 incident at Virginia Tech university, which claimed 32 lives.
