Having explain most questions I have few questions to add :
How many tau can a phone mine per day?
Does the amount of tau to mine have anything to do with the phone specifications?
Is there any exchange trading tau? If not when do you plan to get it listed?

As I said before, mining of the TAU coin will not load your phone at all thanks to it's a unique algorithm, you can see in the application how much power and memory it uses.  Smiley
Though it is very hard to believe that it will not load the phone. Because Mining is not a that simple or easy thing to do everywhere! Even sometimes I face heavy load problem through GPU or computer mining! I think mining through the smartphone would cause damage to the phone's chipset or hardware!
Probably similar thing to etn mobile mining that wasn't really mining and failed hard

Why do they have two different apps?
One on your link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.taucoin.android.wallet
another is this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mofei.tau
Both apps are from Taucoin.io. How can this be explained? Are these two different coins from the same developer? Or what?

Yes, they are both from the same developer. TAUT is testnet coin and this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mofei.tau) is for TAUT. If you don’t have TAUT, you shouldn’t even pay attention to this application. Though, you can buy testnet coins from the community in p2p groups (https://taucointalk.org/index.php?board=144.0). It is now very cheap. On January 1st, 2020, these coins will swaped onto the main TAU coin in the ratio of 1 : 1.

I found out what it was.. TAUT is the second coin, developers felt sorry to close the test network TAU and they did it. Looks like greed. Undecided
*lol this another crap and why the dev needs to create even second coin and they can't even create the one properly? Just curious about why people are still interested to burn their phone by mine this crap coin.
if that was a second coin and does it build in the same blockchain? or it uses a new one as per the app is not even merged into the one app.

First mobile mining network launched today! No need for accumulating powers like on POW algo, or much coins (wealth) like on POS algorithm.

TAU has unique POT (proof-of-transaction) consensus.

Proof-of-Transaction, miners are competing on accumulating transactions to generate new blocks and get transaction fees. The more transactions you have made, the higher chance you win the mining. The longer the transaction history, the more “Total Consensus Strength” the network has.

Android phones verifying transactions (mining).

Thanks to the POT consensus algorithm, mining will not heat your phone, it's light and full-time mining!

Therefore, it's truly decentralized, resistant to 51% attacks, secure blockchain where everyone able to become a miner!
