I'm happy to see people are teaching about bitcoin to others every day and they spread the bitcoin word all over the world, this will surely make the bitcoin community much bigger and it will definitely help the other people too, so they can find another way to to invest in some profitble asset and in the other hand they will have chance to incrase their tecnical knowlage about this new tecnology and they can even start teaching to other people.

To some extent, I believe that the news also tells a lot about Bitcoin! And maybe even more than anyone else! It's just that the cryptocurrency industry is already a fully formed market for trading! but, undoubtedly, education in the field of cryptocurrencies has a huge priority, since it is not always easy for beginners to understand some issues related to cryptocurrencies!

I wonder how genuine are users in this forum that supporting @OP initiative to teach Bitcoin to his friends, I believe none of you have teach your friends about Bitcoin since your friends will think you're rich and then keep begging for money. When you didn't want to give them money, they will call you stingy and don't want to be your friend anymore. I already learn a lot, you must not talk about money in friendship since your friendship will be ruined.

Most people don't know that bitcoin can be bought in bits so they see people that owns the currency as very rich folks. They think you must buy one bitcoin to own one thereby viewing bitcoiners as millionaires in some countries. In countries that has high rate of crime teaching bitcoin to friends or family members might be risky because you could become a target of criminals and untrusted people. But teaching them online have reduced the risked of been a victim of criminal activities because most of them might not know your location.

But what the writer have done is  commendable because he is bold enough to speak to people about bitcoin. No mater how insignificant his efforts might look, it has impacted positively to the growth of bitcoin. More grease to your elbow sir.

So far, you've taken an outstanding initiative, whether you're teaching online or offline. However, I find it much easier to learn about cryptocurrency in a direct class rather than an online class. However, it appears that you are having some natural trouble in class, so it is fine to at least stay connected with your friends online. So it will be easier to explain when you meet again. Try to explain the process of securing funds as thoroughly as possible. Due to the current state of the crypto market, it is becoming more and more difficult to secure your funds.

You reminded me of myself when I re-started my campaign to educate the local communities about Bitcoin, crypto, Web3, etc. I usually travel from island to island by my own expenses to organize local community events and universities teaching them about the real use cases and fundamentals about Bitcoin.

But of course, I never asked them to buy because of the risks. Theyre just the ones who have expressed interests to test out the waters acknowledging whatever results that they have whether if its a profit or loss in either holding or trading.
I don't still brave for teaching Bitcoin to other people based on with how risk when investing if Bitcoin price drop, actually ever have some one ask me about Bitcoin and I just give basic information about Bitcoin without recommended him to buy, right now he has loss with invested on altcoin and do not know about right moment for buying.

Learned from my experience right now I selective for answering some question about Bitcoin asking by the other people, I worried they make wrong investment at Bitcoin or Altcoin trough invest on higher price. I don't know what have to do later if some one made mistake by investing when highest price and seems I have fault because they know about Bitcoin from me.

Yes indeed! Learning cryptocurrencies is important! Because it is very difficult for beginners to immediately understand all the subtleties of cryptocurrencies. Since there are different types of cryptocurrencies and such information is very difficult to learn at once! I think this is very important. But now there are already many books dedicated to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, and this also makes learning easier to some extent!!!

Moreover, a country like El Salvador has officially introduced Bitcoin as legal tender.  A city in Switzerland launched as Bitcoin City.
As far as I know Switzerland has done a bitcoin city but EI Salvador built the first bitcoin city in the world.  And that country's government officially recognizes Bitcoin as legal tender.  And the people of the country can spontaneously exchange their daily goods using Bitcoin.

If you also want to join this group, I can create a discord server where we can talk and have a friendly meeting every week. I'll read your replays, and if you want to join this group, I'll create a discord server and update this post in the next few days. Cheers Wink
I will not belittle your gratitude by thanking you.  This groundbreaking step of yours undoubtedly deserves much appreciation.  But my small request to you is that we all will be benefited a lot if you upload us regular videos about bitcoin and its importance through a youtube channel.  If we observe the Discord as well as the videos very well then undoubtedly people from all walks of life will be very well informed about Bitcoin.  Thank you for sharing your breakthrough with Bitcoin.  We will get more from you in the future.

Underestimate- nothing
After about 3 months, I am here again. After reading your replays and your support, I got a lot of motivation! But this is not the whole story.

You can find Teaching Bitcoin To My Friends (Part 1) here. (The whole story started here)

When I started my weekly meeting, after a while, I noticed that some of my friends can't come to my house. I live in a rainy city; sometimes, the rains continue for months, and my friends cannot come to my house on rainy days.

So I decided to start online classes. Every Friday, we have a friendly meeting for 2 hours, and we talk about Bitcoin and all the important events that affect the market.

If you also want to join this group, I can create a discord server where we can talk and have a friendly meeting every week. I'll read your replays, and if you want to join this group, I'll create a discord server and update this post in the next few days. Cheers Wink
Speaking about the current market event, a bear market can enlighten the heart. I hope you bought some bitcoin and please always inform your friends about not your keys not your, security should be the top priority, most people invest without considering this. You must have gathered some information and given it out for free to your friends is a good one and I always believe constant sharing of knowledge also have a way of improving yours. good job once again op  and keep it up I will defiantly love attend to for additional knowledge.

Educating people who don't know about Bitcoin using various educational methods about Bitcoin, educating people about the importance and future growing demand of Bitcoin is really great.  Various magazines, newspapers, TV news, and online classes have been organized from time to time on the importance of Bitcoin.  But the very good news is that day by day the next generation is seeing the importance of Bitcoin positively.  Moreover, a country like El Salvador has officially introduced Bitcoin as legal tender.  A city in Switzerland launched as Bitcoin City.  No matter what we say, the world will be very critical of the importance of Bitcoin at some point.

I buy all valid country Gift cards swiftly.
This is a nice initiative to me and a welcome development to your neighborhood and I truly feel happy for the people you will touch their lives.
You don't really have to share or give out millions to people before ones true love and care could be expressed, because this alone has shown how much love you could share.
But I think you should focus more on your local community (neighborhood) rather than seeking people to join you over here because people are already gaining the desired knowledge they need from over here and asking them to come join a private discussion group outside of the wouldn't really be a nice one to them.

There are alot of misconception associated with Bitcoin, and so many newbies like myself at times though and think crypto is a get rich quick scheme but this for changed my mindset and repositioned it to working hard and staying careful of all I do.

My only goal is to expand the Bitcoin family, and we should definitely talk about the pros and cons of blockchain for a long time. By the way, I am completely against the "easy ways to be rich" methods, and in the first days when I saw these people, they thought that with $100, they could have $10,000 in the next year. These are all misconceptions, and I'll try to inform the people of this group about everything.
I agree with you on this, most of the forks coming into Bitcoin are seeing bitcoin as an exit route from poverty and tend to see Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme, I used to have a friend who constantly disturb me to introduce him to bitcoin and I have been hesitant in teaching him all the while, reason being that he shows a high element of greed to the point he is willing to risk his school fees to buy Bitcoin thinking he will turn millionaire before he needs the money to pay his fees. This is entirely a bad way of thinking and this kind of person will end up in regret sooner or later, I like to see people who are knowledge-driven about Bitcoin, and their motivation should be on the fact that Bitcoin is a new technology that needs to be properly studied and understand before diving into it.
On a general note, your approach is very ok at least having group discussions with your friend will allow knowledge passage and idea sharing that will help every member of the group to build a healthier mindset about Bitcoin unlike the generally wrong perception of Bitcoin as an overnight millionaire investment.

Been years before I've learned the idea of this technology. Checking progress would make it faster ofcourse and with proper guidance as well. Actually, sharing is fun not only in this industry but also to other things as long as it would give additional knowledge to other people. I hope you'd tackle misconceptions of this technology or industry in general such as easy way to be rich. This also includes risks involved from engaging in cryptocurrencies in line with its nature of market volatility. These things I think, are the best prior knowledge if you are trying to impart yours, before engaging with advantages of this blockchain.

Actually, from anywhere you can learn about Bitcoin even if it's from a newspaper or magazine. Today is not as difficult as it used to be but we are still quite unfamiliar with what Bitcoin is. At first glance from 2014 to 2015, I was still quite confused because of technological limitations, well where I live the internet is still uneven. Today, we just need to connect to the internet and use keywords to search for anything we want to know including Bitcoin. There will be thousands of articles that you can read, there are lots of crypto communities that definitely discuss Bitcoin and there is this forum which is certainly more complex and updated about Bitcoin.

Yes, all my friends now have at least $100 Bitcoin in their wallets. In the third/fourth week, I showed them how to buy bitcoin from an exchange and bought $30 bitcoin to show them how it works. Also, they have completely learned how to sell bitcoin and know all the security tips about the wallet.

I think It’s great that you’re keeping tabs on them and monitoring their progress as they grow.
Also great that they’ve learnt how to purchase and sell bitcoin through exchanges. I just hope you remembered to warn them to take their funds away from the exchanges after each purchase or sales of bitcoin(very important!). Overall, I think you’re doing a great job in spreading the gospel of bitcoin. Hopefully they would learn enough to also teach others.

Good job!

Those hindrances won't stop you from teaching your friends about bitcoin. Do you check their progress if they already have started to buy little mbtc's from each of them?

It's good to invite people outside your circle but I think it's good to focus only on them first and see the progress of each of your friend.

I recall your thread that I shared my past experience in learning something related in programming, lol. It's really nice that you kept your consistency in teaching your friends about it, since I recall some other users here just create a thread like these and never heard anything from them every since without any conclusion.

I would love to know on how did those 3 months in between end up though. Were they now holding Bitcoin? Actively trading? Smiley

As much as I wanted to join a Discord server, I would have to pass for now. Cheesy

Once a man, twice a child!
I like it when members here take out time to teach Bitcoin outside this forum. It's best to go virtual if there's a barrier of distance. That's the part I like because it's easier for both the teacher and student(s). If they complain of data, send them data. However, let me quickly add here for OP. Don't be discouraged if after teaching them you discover that not all of them will continue with it. There will be those among them who will have the wrong notion of how Bitcoin should take them out of poverty level immediately they come in contact with it. Once you let them into the truth that it's not a get rich quick scheme, some will develop that lukewarm attitude and will eventually lose interest. Just know this and know peace.

So I decided to start online classes. Every Friday, we have a friendly meeting for 2 hours, and we talk about Bitcoin and all the important events that affect the market.
Good initiative to decide to push the classes online for ease sake for all your friends so none get discouraged due to the difficulty in coming to your place to learn. An online class will also ensure that they can learn and consult you quickly from any location. You will need  be very creative with activities to keep their interest up on bitcoins and cryptocurrency in general so they don't become bored with the online classes, out of sight can be out of mind quickly.

If each one member could take a step forward in this task, u think we could achieve a milestone in Bitcoin Promotion and Adoption in our various locality. OP you are doing a good job by taking this step in making sure your friends are not left behind in Bitcoin awareness. This you have done can not be forgotten by your friends. Believe me you, your friends would thank you in time to come for the kindness you did to them by showing and teaching them about Bitcoin. I myself I personally took it upon myself to making sure my locality get to know about Bitcoin. Not just locality, I decided to teach skilled and unskilled labour, small business owners, freelancers etc in my locality. I did this by putting up a scheme for them so they could easily understand the system. You can see it here
  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.61318488
With it, I was able to guide them through with them understanding and having knowledge about Bitcoin and blockchain entirely.
With these steps put in place by you, I think you'll achieve your goals in onboarding more people into the system. This would help in scaling up the percentage in Bitcoin Adoption and Promotion in the world.

Your friends will surely appreciate you well for this charity work you have done to them, because this impact will bring a lot of favour to them in future if they will be able to use it well by following the popular strategy buy when the price is low and release when the price is high in the market to earn well. I believe, you teacch them how to keep their personal details secure from scammers because many beginners has experienced some challenges that made them to see Bitcoin as a scam currency because they exposed their personal details to friends in the process of learning.

That is a interesting start up and you should actually start with your local community before going all into the big forum. That’s just to have more sense of how your Standard Operating Procedure is going to be. Many times handling big crowd could be challenging. So start small, keep gathering community, keep talking about it over and over again. This should be two process where after some days or weeks your listeners must start asking Back challenging questions about everything you taught. That would be kick start in to know you are on right path.
It’s always great to see someone taking efforts to educate others about bitcoin. Keep growing mate Smiley

Your friends are lucky to have someone teach them about bitcoin, unlike most people who are already knowledgeable in cryptocurrency started from scratch, and had to learn it by themselves. I hope that you'll get more motivation to continue what you are doing since not everyone is as eager as you in teaching people about cryptocurrency. You might as well invite your friends here in this forum so that they will have more references in learning cryptocurrency. Kudos OP!

OP you have done well for bitcoin and the online weekly class that your are organising for your friends to educate them on Bitcoin. Nothing will ever hinder the learning of bitcoin or the circulation of bitcoin knowledge in the  world sine there will always be an alternative way to teach or give the awareness to people.

I hope you are been open to them about the volatile nature of bitcoin and how they can keep their bitcoin holdings safe in a noncustodial wallet because I see that they might want to invest, if it is OK with them. Bitcoin will rule over fiat soon due to the adoption of people even without the government adopting bitcoin as a legal tender. The forum is the best place anyone can get the best knowledge of bitcoin from especially its technical aspect so I will suggest that you can invite more people from your working place or your neighborhood to join the discord channel so that they can also learn from your weekly class

Good work, but online class, what is the difference between the discussions in the forum and that there is a fixed paragraph on a weekly / monthly basis? there are many bitcoin broadcast, then The benefit lies in the extent of the knowledge of the newcomers and the extent of the listeners’ desire to learn. If you teach 10, they will know 10, and so on.

You have decided that it will be a matter of time, so now you do not talk about the borders of your rainy city, you can record the discussions for us to evaluate them.

It is a good initiative @OP to invite us to join a discord channel in order to discuss Bitcoin and enhance our knowledge about it.  But I believe this forum is enough since the forum is already rich with information both facts and fiction, myth and truth about Bitcoin.  Besides, we are already here discussing current events of Bitcoin's technology, economy, and politics.

Most of yh active forum users (barring the spammers and bounty hunters), would have a decent understanding of Bitcoin and how it works to not need a regular off forum meeting to improve on their knowledge. And the few who do are welcome to interact here and learn more from the more experienced users; the entire purpose of the forum.

I agree, most forum members here are somehow knowledgeable about Bitcoin so having an extra platform to discuss the same ideas and topics is just a waste of time, IMO, unless we have Bitcoin icons on that Discord Channel that will conduct regular updates, insights and development of Bitcoin.

Your idea is surely a good one and would be greatly helpful to your friends who need Al the expert guidance they can get as they get their feet wet in Bitcoin, but you might not get a substantial amount of users here willing to join in.

True, I admit I am one of those who is content to discuss bitcoin and cryptocurrency in this forum because I am too lazy to jump from one platform to the other.  Even my social media accounts has been idling for years now.  Cheesy

Really appreciable, because people find it hard to participate into discussion. You've made things clear and requested for two hours of discussion. Everyday two hours of discussion about bitcoin and surrounding incidents will give clear picture about the market. Through the participants it will widespread. Good initiative which could turn OP a good trainer on cryptocurrency.

Everyone won't be spend two hours regularly in teaching others. As an user mentioned, in between checking the progress of the participants could help you understand how well you've taught and what changes need to be done to make it more effective.

Bitcoin learning doesn't need to be bridge about Bitcoin learning because one thing i understand in Bitcoin is that once tou leave it education and it will surprisingly leave you also, i believe that what can motivate you seriously to go more about Bitcoin is when you go across of the testimony of people that make alot of profit in Bitcoin and people you know Bitcoin technology before is making absolutely well in Bitcoin, it always astonish when you are not doing well
