You are actually making a point here, many people who come up with ideas this days don't do it because they want to create a decentralized system were everyone can benefit from, but do it because they want to make a lot of money from people that will be interested in their project.
Now, I didn't say making money is bad for them because I think they need reward for creating the project, but I think the premine they get from the beginning is enough money for them, they should forget about other benefits they will get and try to create a decentralized platform that even them can't control, I believe that's the idea.

why should anyone control anything in first place?! the poll needs a third option for none of the above and it should take the most number of votes. if people wanted centralization and someone in control then they would have never even came to cryptocurrency world and those who don't care about decentralization only care about money and for them it doesn't matter what is going on in the background, they only care about how much some shitcoin is being pumped and how much profit they can make. it can be fully controlled by one person or a team and it still wouldn't make a difference to them.
As they say, two heads are better than one, I believe so much in team work and in my own opinion, I strongly believe that team token is better than the sovereign one reason being that, as s single person, it will be easier to manipulate the system without anyone counter checking any of the actions first.
But when it comes to team, you also need approval or consent of the majority without before carrying out an action, as a sovereign ico, imagine that I suddenly wake up and decided to personally pump the market, to me, it might makes sense without thinking of the negative effect of it why as a team, different suggestion will come as to whether the action is right or not.

It all depends on the idea behind the token, I won't be comfortable to invest in a token created by a team that can't tell us a good idea to which the token is being created.
I believe the idea or concept or invention or solution must be always important regardless of basics of its dev team or backing reserve concerns. I mean without proper idea, I believe no one will touch a new coin/token. That must be a basic criteria for me to start my due diligence for deciding about them.

Though I would be more comfortable to invest in projects done by a team because I believe that no mind is an island and one person would not be able to develop a project and also be able to promote that project all by himself or herself without having to get a team that will make it faster for the project to go far and to gain more traction than when it is still being controlled by just a single person.

This is a hard question but I will go with the team, when you want to do something big you need more hands and brain to develop the coin into better state, you need more idea to develop the coin and more idea to solve problems, I don't think the coin grow well by depending on one person, it will be hard to make the team has the same vision but when the team got the same vision the project will grow better
but teams will waste everything, there is no central controll the team is underlying their work.
