The wallet that sent funds to the Instawallet is a Blockchain wallet.

I have no clue how to do this. Can anyone please advise?

Sign in to Blockchain.info/wallet

 - Receive Money tab

Locate address for transaction that funded one of your deposits to Instawallet

Click on Actions pull-down tab.

Click Sign message.

For the message, you can do anything you want  (e.g., "The Instawallet at http://instawallet.org/xxxxxxxxxxx is mine." )
and then on the claim form give
1.) Your bitcoin address used to sign the message (and used to fund the Instawallet)
2.) that message (e.g., in quotes above)
3.) the signed message

Incredible!! Thank you so much Smiley

I looked all over my blockchain.info wallet and didn't see a way to do this. If I were you, I'd get a client that will sign messages. Import the private key and then sign it from your desktop client.

The current Electrum does this. Import the key, then go to your receiving addresses, right click the address and a dialog pops up that's self-explanatory.

But before going through all that, I'd wait a few hours to see if someone knows a way to do it from the Blockchain web wallet.

Hi,

Can someone please assit with this:

There is an option in the Instawallet claims process to support your proof of wallet ownership if you have control of a wallet that sent funds to your Instawallet (which I do).

On the claim page it says the following:

---------------------------------------------
Cryptographic proof of ownership

If you or someone you know controls the private key of a Bitcoin address that sent a transaction to this wallet, you can help us by providing cryptographic evidence.

The owner of the emitting Bitcoin address can sign a message and generate a signature which we can use to prove ownership of this wallet.

In the fields below, enter the Bitcoin address of the emitter, a message, and the signature of the message generated by the private key associated with the Bitcoin address.
---------------------------------------------

And then there are fields for:

Bitcoin address of the emitter.
Message that was signed.
Signature of the message generated using the private key of the emitter's Bitcoin address.

The wallet that sent funds to the Instawallet is a Blockchain wallet.

I have no clue how to do this. Can anyone please advise?

Thanks Smiley
