I use none. I believe both do not apply to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is something new and something that no traders has experienced in buying or selling before. Technical analysis can help you place your buys or sells, but chart technicians are still left baffled at the extreme volatility of Bitcoin making most of their predictions wrong or mistimed.

For those who want to use fundamental analysis, what is there to analyze? Some say it is a fraud, others say it is the future. Take your side.

A stockbroker told me that when I examined this market a little bit on my recommendation, it was no different from Forex, and for someone with a solid forex history, technical analysis would not be too difficult.

I think the fundamental technics that are more affect the bitcoin price in comparison with his technical analysis. How do you think?

Yes I believe so that fundamental analysis is more influential to the bitcoin/altcoin price because just one news may it be fake or real can make the price go higher and lower and most of the traders do panic buying or selling that's why just one appearance of a news can make the price go pump and dump or the other way around. Many traders are newbies that's why emotions are still there when trading and it gives the whales opportunity to manipulate the prices because of the traders have this mentality of following the herd.

Technical analysis can still be use but not all the time because of the coin's low volume that's why manipulation is rampant. It would be better to use technical analysis in high market cap coins because somehow technical analysis makes sense compared to the coins with low market cap.

technical analysis is almost useless in this sphere. it works the longer term the graph reflects, but for short term charts, it really is rubbish. markets dont follow trends here; they follow the immature investing attitudes/disciplines of the myriad 24-40 esque males that never went to school for trading, and dominate this space. also remember that these markets are very heavily manipulated due to the relatively small market caps. it only takes one or two whales, maybe 10 total to address all the exchanges at once. they could move the price in a serious way, and it wouldnt be that easy to detect if they were smart about it (gradual buying selling pressure over a week or so, instead of a huge dump/pump). this is pretty much the reason for the volatility, besides the fact that 90% of the market is weak hands Wink

fundamentals work, but not all the time. the news is so important in this space, like forex. it pretty much completely drives the price, because the price is borne purely on speculation Smiley

understanding the nature and character of 1 coin is better than studying all simultaneously.
trading using fundamental or technical techniques depending on the needs of the trader itself.
if you want to profit quickly use technical techniques but if you want to trade long term. use the fundamental techniques in choosing a coin to buy.
