What's the exact problem with the boards? Can it be repaired or must it be replaced?

There are many possible problems and none of them are fixable by the end user. Your only option since for some reason you didnt buy direct from the manufacturer is to send the bad board to bitmainwarranty in Colorado and pay them to repair it for you.

Unfortunately an all too common problem with the S9's.  See all the griping here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0

Not much to do other than get a refund from the seller, get an out of warranty repair, or just run 2/3 of an S9 which many do...  Tongue

Hello guys.
I just got an antminer S9 from ebay and set it up. It seems to work fine but it has only a hash rate of about 9 TH/s. When checking the miner's status I recognized, it shows only 2 'chains' instead of 3 as shown in manuals... is there one hashboard not working at all? (Screenshot below)
I also recognized, the little red LEDs on the hashboards just aside the power connectors are only on for two of the hashboards. However, changing the power connectors didn't change anything.
Do you know the problem? I couldn't find any information about the little red LEDs or a missing 'chain' in the miner's status....
Thanks for reading.
Cheers.
