The Top 10 Hot Topics on BitcoinX Dashboard is useful for the casual visitor:

Thanks!!! I was this once before but just passed by... this time I am definitely going to bookmark it.

I am definitely starting to think a proper scraper that shows "all new threads I haven't seen already" might be in order. I am tempted to set this up... although if I were to do it, I'd probably just make it a Python script that runs under Linux (other OSs, YMMV), and maybe put it on github, if anyone expresses serious interest. Is there seriously nothing like that out there already?

Click "notify" on a thread you like to follow and follow this twitter page - https://twitter.com/#!/bitcoininfo

Thanks. I knew about notify, so I'm not sure why I asked the question exactly the way I did.

More importantly - is that Twitter feed only posting new threads from this forum? That is almost what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, it doesn't show the actual board, and often doesn't show the full title of the threads. May be worth writing my own scraper after all if this is all that's out there.

I'd really like to be able to view a list of topics I've never seen.

I'd also like to be able to mark topics that I want to continue to follow, and be notified whennever a new post is made in one of those topics.

The existing "show unread posts since last visit" just has waaay too much information for me.

Questions:

Are there websites that help one to do this? (If not, I'd be highly tempted to make one, if I had more time.)

Is there some forum feature/settings option that I'm just not seeing?

Any tips/ideas on how to "stay on top of" what's going on in this forum?

Do other people have these issues or am I the only OCD one here?  Grin

Thanks...
