In the modern telecommunication sector the profit earned by the telecommunication operators has been shared by the OTT (Over-The-Top) players such as Viber, Whatsapp, etc. Similarly in the banking sector crypto-currencies have started to displace the fiat currencies.
But now the telecommunication operators have started to see the OTT as a possible transformation as well as adaptation and they have commenced to collaborate with the OTT players. This movement has already strengthened their profit margin while stabilizing the future prospects.
Therefore, in the finance sector, should the banks and finance companies do a similar transformation to safeguard their future and stabilized the revenue streams?
