I don't think good or legit projects need to forced/invite to join project telegram group because in good project people going to joined own responsibility. Still i joined a lot of groups but i didn't joined in every group, auto bot or manually invited in those group. Spam message is another big disaster for telegram users i think.

Invitation without prior notice and done by bots? A BIG NO NO. To avoid those invitations to happen again, do this.

1st : Open your telegram account, go to settings
2nd : Go to Privacy and Security
3rd : Under Privacy, go to Groups then select "My Contacts" as Who can invite you to groups and channels
4th : Don't add any contacts. Just join your desired channel if you wish by getting their TG Profile link then Save.

Those invitations might be a part of bounty campaign or artificial growth of community to attract investors for selfish reasons. Leave those groups and report spam if you wish.
It's really work? I don't have add any contacts, but my telegram always auto joined some group, it's really annoying and most of them is just a spam group, I need to manual leave group one by one.

I don't believe most bounty project most of then used this process to advertise their scam project. Many telegrams I joined is just rubbish. The vision and mission is to sake their coin. Forcing people to join  because of bounty reward is out of it. It should be voluntary action.

In many bounty campaigns there is a condition to invite your friends to telegrams in their community or channel, so nothing surprising. But in most cases, as you said, these are just fraudulent projects that are trying to profit from us.
In fact, you are right, there are a lot of fraudsters in Telegram, they change their names to other known names. One must be very vigilant in this network.
They wanted to scam people by hiding to this process, bot's will do everything to adds potential victims,it's needed to be more extra careful and never to entrust your money, don't believe into something that you already have a doubts, you'll regret everything after for sure.

in my opinion it's normal and can be overcome only that all I hate from telegram is scammers who try to send chat to ask for help which is certain that is the remaining scam mode is the referral spreader link

that's strange. just take a break and leave all those funny groups and channels. and I think you should try to change your privacy settings as it seems you have set them to the public as anyone can add you into their groups, this sucks and happens a lot on telegram as more and more people are being careless every day. I guess we should make a site or thread to list all the scam sites and groups so everyone does not waste their time on these useless scams and groups.

It's unethical to add your telegram account to any telegram groups without permission of the owner. I have been added in many projects telegram group and to be honest I'm mad as some of them are scam projects. However, I did stay in some telegram groups if it's interesting and legit.

It is not usually done by the team but rather some greedy bounty hunters. They get rewards per the number of users they are able to invite into the group. Because of their selfish interest, they will add you even without prior notice.

For me so reasons are involved, am I a victim of this joining too many groups that I don't know of either by bot or someone will just add you without any notice,it really annoying at a time when you see yourself in too many useless telegram group.

You can just set your account to be prohibited by the invites and only your contacts can add you to the telegram. This is not new, and ever since many group are doing this so they can have more followers. Just leave the group and report it, but I believe the report system will not work on telegram that's not a forced invite, they forced you to join.

If that project do that kind of activity then stop believing that it's a good project. They are forcefully inviting members to gain attraction and make the new joiners and investors of that project to become confident that many are investing to them. This is very popular marketing trick today, they are increasing the number of their telegram channel and will start few conversations but notice on how many are actually going to reply to them, if its few then obviously most of the members are added forcefully if not, most are bots.

Some notorious mindless feeders had use bot in inviting me to various telegram group, causing my phone to near crash.  I had to migrate the telegram to desktop on my PC and deleted it from my phone. From the desktop version, I put a setting in place, making it impossible for anyone to add me to any group except I join myself. Some of these persons who add participants do so at the request of some ICO and project to make their investors think they have a large community of followers.

I do not think anything good will use force to get the attention of the public or investors in the world of cryptocurrency. I mean there will be advertisement and other ways to make a project known to the world, but using force to expose it to the mass people is not acceptable and there might be something wrong in it. So the projects forcing investors or bounty hunters to get their attention maybe scammers. Stay away from them.

So I noticed I've been forcefully invited by bots into multiple telegram community which I never wanted to join.. and most of these communities are either ponzi schemes or from #icos which claim to be legit companies with one or two things to offer in the crypto space..

What can you say about this??
Can you really believe a good project with good concept would forcefully invite you into their community without any prior notice??
This is because your privacy is open to everyone I guess, because telegram bots will work as humans will work too, what I mean is that if no one can add you manually to a group, then I don't any bot will be able to add you to a group without seeking your permission, so I think the best thing for you is to go to your privacy and set it that no one should be able to add you to a group unless they have your contact or better still no one can add you to a group at all so that you can be save from a lot of spammers.

I believe those who invite people into telegram groups  are those who take part in telegram channel bounty and need people to  join their groups so they can make money. I don't think a real ICO will force people to join their groups without their consent.
Typing users into a telegram channel is a very difficult task. I have a friend trying to make his telegram of the channel and tells me what to add people is very difficult.

I also experienced this, invited by someone to join a group/channel. I usually do this, find someone who invite you the group and after that block that user and leave the group. After i block some people, i never get invited again to random group right now. So it should be works for you too.

Of course they wouldn’t do that because they do thing legitimately even if they are working in the blockchain space, good company with team that has integrity would not force itself on people but rather try to convince people to buy into their idea using paid adverts.

BOT programs are dubious means of getting things, and any company that engages in doing this should first be seen as a scammer, but there is still no harm in trying them if they are not requesting us to bring money from our pocket, we might never know, God can use scammers to also bless the work of our hands, and their wealth will be transferred to us.

I don't thing a project with prospect will force anyone be a part of it because I believe a good and viable will speak for itself with little help of marketing from bounty hunters. All a good project need is good publicity and the rest will take care of itself. Higher level security access can be set on telegram to avoid this.

I often experience this and it is clear that I do not believe if I have to believe it all because we were forced to enter into a group without us wanting it, well so it does not endanger me at all and if I am invited to enter the group then keep the block or leave the group we cannot be invited anymore.
If you think that you aren't belong into that group or you suspected that you are just force invited then,  we can simply click leave and delete.
Cause as we know that, mostly all telegram groups are using bots nowadays and they are probably be the one doing this. And you might be wondering why you are belong into this group without remembering that you join them.

Such project can have a telegram invite bounty whereby bounty hunters are given task of inviting other telegram users to their group. Therefore it doesn't mean a project is bad if you just find yourself in telegram group without prior notice.

Of course not. Good projects do not need to engage in such actions. They always have people voluntarily joining their telegrams channels.
Throw complaints against such channels, and they must be punished for it.

As others pointed out, you can go into your settings and strengthen your privacy so that random people cannot add you into groups. Sadly, Telegram has not made this a default setting, thus making the app a prime target for scammers.
yes, I also experienced the same thing as you. Suddenly many project channels entered the telegram, while I felt there was no connection or joining this project. but it looks like a telegram bot makes it a hotbed of spam or a sweet target for scammers to cheat us.

In my opinion, if you look at the project like do not be easy to believe or maybe immediately go out or report the group if there is because it could be a scam project, because projects who do not do the same are not necessarily projects that are really good better research their own projects if you want to invest

Usually when people added me to join their groups, I will directly report the group as spam. I don't care if the project is good or not but I hate to be forced just to fulfill their greed. You should be more careful when get added without any permission, it's maybe a scam project that uses bots in the group as their members and then says "This project is really good!"

It was annoying sometimes hunters invite other hunter even if they didn't know them for the price or for the game in their telegram or sometimes it was part of their marketing,

I also have the same problem and it is so annoying you would be added into tons of crypto related telegram that you didn't even join.
And whats worst is that you would have to unfollow them all and I couldn't really remember which one I need and which one did I really join and which one just spam me.
Agree it was definitely a waste of time unfollowing them all and report them I didn't need them thats why I didn't join then I will see that I was already added on their telegram this is not good at all it was kind of irritating.

You got your answer from aervin11.
Now, for another tip. Those who are joining different group just for the purpose of posting their own ICO, put them already in doubt or better a blacklist.
Who would do that? That is being desperate. Which means a bad thing at the end.

This ICO's is already building a big scam even if they could just take thousands of dollars it will be worth it if they are just spending time and effort posting at different telegram group or forcefully inviting users.

Of course I can still believe a project even they have forcefully invite me to join their community. The probable reason why I am forced to join the group is because of other people, bounty hunters, or bots and not the project itself. If the project is really good and it has a great concept, I would not take that action big of a deal.

It’s really good information even I have been added for some groups without my notice . It’s really appreciable effort immediately I will do set up changes in my telegram.

I always checked the telegram group where I am a member and if I am not familiar on those group I just leave the group, many people are doing this, maybe they are being paid to do this, or maybe they are part of the team, but the one thing that we need to be very careful are those messaging us and telling us they are the admin of this ICO, they are scammers.

I am also experiencing such which is very bad. It’s a bot activity that people use as business to populate ponzi and Ico groups just to make it appear that they have members already. What you can do is to set your privacy to allow only oone ur contacts to invite you to any group. This will stop the activity of any bot or stranger adding you to unwanted group.

this is often the case and I often experience something similar to you but I don't care, maybe it's their trap. As the number of airdrop and bounty hunters is used by irresponsible individuals to trick victims and enrich themselves. Don't let the bitcointalk member here become a victim. Open the official site and don't just click here and there, if you don't want to get caught in their trap. Usually unofficial sites look more attractive, so beware.

Yes, unfortunately, this phenomenon has become more frequent, but I can assure you that I, too, are invited to many different projects about which I even have no idea that bots do everything, and I believe that it is necessary to fight.

As others pointed out, you can go into your settings and strengthen your privacy so that random people cannot add you into groups. Sadly, Telegram has not made this a default setting, thus making the app a prime target for scammers.

In addition to all you mentioned, report such group invite to telegram as spam. You can see the report button on the top right hand once the invite opens up. This forceful invite only spells trouble and doom. I nearly fell victim in 2018 to something I view as scam now - the group needed me to send my telegram registration code to redeem a certain amount of coins. I was on the process to sending it until something told me not to. I am sure my telegram handle would've been hijacked if I had sent it.
I have disabled the ability to invite me to group or my telegrams risk will turn into a cesspool...I think that most users have long done the same, but maybe beginners will find this information useful.

You can leave it if you have big doubts, I think that's the way the scamer works to get the hunt they are after.
You can report it to the telegram so that the channel can be suspended.
be careful because in this industry it is still very vulnerable and very vulnerable in cases of scams

if you are withdrawn or forcibly entered into one of the telegram groups without your will or you do not wish to enter the group, you can be sure that the project is unreliable and is likely only a hoax or a ponzi scheme.

I don't believe with the automatic invitations in a telegram, and if I get invited without any notice, I will leave those groups and never join. It does not prove that the project will be a good project because they need to tell the public why their project is good and what benefits for people by using their project.

We can set our telegram profile so we don't have to join in one group without any notice so we can decide if we want to join in a telegram group. Maybe we will see a new feature in a telegram that will prevent us from joining in a group without we know so we don't have to feel difficult to delete one by one of the groups that we don't' want to join.

Most time this is the work of bounty hunters, they add people without their consent just to fulfil some task given to them to earn bounty tokens it is not done directly by the project team also someone guys are paid to add people randomly from other crypto related group. Not all project that does this can be trusted but some of they can be after doing your own due diligence.

The best thing to do if such happens is to report them as scam and leave their scam group. No legit project will forcefully add anybody to their esteem group nor use bot to gather members.

Of course, a good project will not force anyone to invite into their communities. If the project is worth the attention, then the community itself will grow. In the telegram settings you can forbid inviting you to different communities.

There is nothing to be gained from doing it, just fake volume of members. I normally just report them as a scam and get out of it.

If not mistaken you can block invitation from people based on how you set your settings
I am now only invited if i join the group myself
Previously i am mass invited by random people who do bounty which they wanted to drag everyone in every group rofl

I never explore telegram that much, and I did not know there is a setting for this. Thanks for giving me a hint.

I agree this is the best solution to protect your account from spambots. I also forbid anyone to invite me into groups. Basically, this is a service for promoting fraudulent projects. There are a lot of such services today. And whenever bots add users to their groups, you need to think that this is a fraudulent project.

There's actually some guy offering telegram invite or to populate their telegram channel, no wonder some scam ICO in their telegram had inflated members, sometimes I'm surprised that I'm a member of a group where I don't remember participating, I only joined telegram of bounty I'm participating, I'm trying to minimize my group in the telegram channel for better interaction.

Not everyone knows the feature, some just uses telegram because it's required by the bounty campaign and like what I have noticed, I've join a lot of telegram group where there are thousands of members but found out only few are active, meaning, most don't really care with the conversations going on.

More likely those are not legit project, good project will ask you to join their group and most of the time they pay you for joining. on the other hand scam project act like what you have said, If you don't disable auto accept on your telegram setting you will find your telegram loaded with this kind of scheme.

This is the act of irresponsible spammers, they deliberately save our cellphone number to be entered into an unclear telegram group, we cannot do anything for this only the Telegram can repair the system
Good projects will never use the services of spammers like this to add members to their groups, good projects will have their own ways to attract investors
Those who use services like this are just SCAM projects

Maybe read the entire thread... You can easily adjust your privacy settings, so people can't add you to groups.
Someone has mentioned that a couple of posts above you.

Now, I do think that Telegram should have that function enabled by default.

It is not usually done by the team but rather some greedy bounty hunters. They get rewards per the number of users they are able to invite into the group. Because of their selfish interest, they will add you even without prior notice.

And they advertise with this added telegram participant who are not aware they are part of the group. They are serious spammers as you rightly said more-also, many investors are victims when they announces they telegram group numbers on social media like Facebook, the announcement goes like this: "Congratulations we have just pluck over 35,000 members on our telegram group". No wonder they use PLUCK, really its pluck because they do that in a dubious ways.

Am also a victim of the same issue and I think it's not really the best way to create a community for a project. No serious project will embark in such a spamming promotion to grow their community. I think there's a way to disable this but am yet to figure it out.

I think what you can really do is to report them as SCAM, and there you can get rid of them. For now, there is not feature that will going to support full privacy since telegram is already known to be one of a decentralized media platform to consider. For the mean time, you might also leave group chats for them not to trace your username.
