Thanks for this, it is not exactly what I was looking for. However close, it checks entire board not just one specific topic in it. That would be crazy amount of "beeps" as every few minutes new topic appears.
IFTTT gave me some new troubles anyway, was unable to correctly connect bot to a channel.
It may be impossible after all, to make it work some greater knowledge is necessary Sad

SMF forum software has RSS, just add "?type=rss;action=.xml" in th URL of the board you want to follow, for exemple
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0?type=rss;action=.xml is the rss for the "Development & Technical Discussion" board

Then you can use IFTTT (it's free) and create a droppet: RSS to Telegram, so when a new item comes in the feed it will be posted on Telegram

I remember years ago the RSS on SMF was "buggy", don't know now but it may be good to try

Does such gizmo exist?
Can it be made with bot father?
Is it even possible to make it work for current forum software?
If no, yes, yes -> Anyone willing to work on it? (non-profit)

I did some initial research, without any luck.
Vision: start and paste a link to thread and bot "beeps" whenever new replay appears, no less no more.
How difficult that would be? Does it has a potential of overloading forums servers?

Email notification is to slow... at least for me Tongue
