The exchange rate is not favorable. Because it is low, the government and regulators may not look into it. They are going for P2P exchanges that the USD/NGN rates are high.

If the government officials can track some people with this, know that they track Nigerians on other P2P.  But their concentration are on those with higher rates.
Hey Charles-Tim you are correct, it may not interest the government to start putting eyes on a platforms that is trading below the Aboki FX, rather would channel their attention to the centralized exchange that are doubling the price of Dollars against Naira.
But on other hand if you look what @DPHOR said I don't think it's a best place to trade comparing how TG is being operated while trading we need to be extremely careful otherwise scamming each others could be a daily routine over there.

Wow.. this is really fascinating, because I actually came across this feature today while chatting on telegram, but I ignored it, not knowing it has such a state of the art p2p features this like which enable us to trade NGN directly through our normal traditional banks. But however, I just went to give it a second review and I noticed that KYC is needed with a valid ID card, befote you will be enabled to commerce p2p trading, so as to regulate scam, which is quite a cool.

I just checked the rate of Remitano, and I must confess, there isn't much difference between this and what I saw, but what I think should be our major problem now is the authenticity of this telegram wallet, because since it's new, there are likely to be some technicallity issue. We never can tell

Yeah, its lower than the back markets by#65 for the highest bidder, but not so low to cashout nice funds since Naira is crashing mindlessly again. I'm pretty sure this is not going unnoticed by the government. They've enough IT experts and spies that would intimate them of  any development online.

I think they are silent for a reason, or they've reached an agreement with the Telegram team and directed compliance on other banks to allow such transactions. Even if they did, a meno should be publicized by the CBN allowing such transactions. Until then, I'll just watch

In as much as I am concerned I don't give much priority to anything concerning to telegram since ban is on a higher side, imagine telegram keep restricted people and you had already open trade but you can't post or do anything how would you be able to complete trade especially the person have already sent you fund or you already sent that person fund. So, instead of me to trade on telegram it would be good I trade on WhatSapp so that I can easily call the person on phone because change of username and impersonation are very common on telegram.

I am not pleased with trading on telegram, however, you can trade on bybit there kyc is very simply easy and hassle free, so instead of complain coming up later it would be ideal to download the app and make your kyc. Let just hope that platform last for us otherwise the population signup on that platform due their p2p trade could caused government to start tracking people over there.

In view of the recent developments and strict instructions from these banks on their non-involvement in crypto dealings, I was surprised to see that Naira is listed under telegram P2P services and furthermore, most of our local banks and microfinance banks listed there as payment options for crypto transactions

This raised a lot of mixed feelings within me concerning the seriousness of their claims of non-participation in crypto transactions, or are they not aware they are listed there on the platform?, maybe they're outsmarting the government by dealing on low-key telegram P2P transactions.

Logging back into their app, the warning was still there and somehow it dawned on me that this might be a trap to catch accounts linked with crypto activities and get them closed down, so we must be on high alert not to fall victims to their possible antics unnecessarily.

Let me have your thoughts on this.
