This morning I was contacted via Telegram by some stranger who claimed to work for some online casino where he detected a vulnerability in. He proposed me to exploit this vulnerability, and in exchange to give him the 40% of the benefits.

I have obviously rejected his request, and I am almost sure this is a scam. I don't know whether this is a usual strategy, but take care out there...

Tired of using the app many scammer over there using crypto to scam people

In my mind, you did the right thing by rejecting that stranger's request. I mean, it definitely sounds like a scam to me. Even if there was a vulnerability, exploiting it would be unethical and potentially illegal. It's always best to stay cautious and avoid such sketchy propositions.

Scammers on telegram are increasing day by day, and the only solution is to auto-ignore these kinds of people even though they are messaging you about the information of a project that you are joining and trying to get your attention and take the bait.

I think that you can limit the message that you are receiving on security settings.

Whenever you are on telegram don’t trust anybody that Dm you telling you they are from support or customer care and they will like to help you, all of them are scammers just trying  to steal from the little you are having. If anybody message you just report and block the person instantly.

I am not surprised at all that scammers moved from e-mail to telegram. They keep up with the progress. Be careful, Telegram can't actully punish scammers, even if you get caught and send a complaint. It is better to forbid strangers to contact you in the settings

Any stranger reaching out to you on telegram is 99.9% a scammer. If I were you I would avoid them. You can turn off the option of being contacted by strangers or added to groups in the Telegram options. I would recommend turning both off. I did and I have my peace now.

I am surprised that no snapshots of the telegram conversation between you and the scammer to make your post more truthful.

Indeed! it is a pitty that "she" deleted the conversation before I took the snapshots, otherwise I would've uploaded them and added to the Opening Post.

I've seen the same story of this scam.

It's certainly a scam and he'll ask you for some deposits and with the promised of interesting returns. Well, good thing that you've sensed already the scam within.

Don't believe on these people that are reasoning an exploit to a casino, it's better for them to report it and given a reward instead of abusing it only if there's really a problem.

I was scammed by Telegram and to this date I know who the Scammer is but Telegram says they will not do anything about it.

It is a program enabling Scammers and we see so many of threads like this one and I hope that you did the right thing and Blocked and Reported Him.
Are you sure that it was Telegram that scammed? The platform itself is being used by scammers.

There are a lot of scammers in these groups. So, it’s better not to join them. Or you can change the settings of your app. This will prevent from random people to text you

there are possibilities you are active on gambling groups on your telegram, members of those groups are scammers that use the subject of your interest on gambling to scam you. Be conscious of any new chats from unknown contacts on your telegram, you can also improve your security on the app to restrict unknown individual sending messages. You are likely see more on twitter and you dont have to respond to them

This is not related to gambling, you can move it to scam accusation.

I am surprised that no snapshots of the telegram conversation between you and the scammer to make your post more truthful.

That is telegram. I remember a time on telegram that a scammer messaged me, asking me if I know about meta trader or something. He told me he can help out and I will start making money in just 24 hours. I knew he was a scammer. Avoid such people.

This may belong to the gambling discussion because someone wanted to trick him using a casino and gamble in it, and have a discussion with other member of community if they had received the same offer.

Somehow I experience the same thing years ago and from telegram platform also.  He was saying that he is one of the admin of a casino, and wanted to offer me a huge win.  Then we can split the winnings.  He even promised to give funds to my account just to go with his plan.  It was enticing but I rejected the offer because of the possible problem I might face if I agree with his deal.
