I still don't know how people still get themselves into these same scammers den on telegram even on other apps or sites? is it like a circle? No matter how difficult you feel you can be there must be a day that they'd use something different to get to you, I mean those who still think things coming from scammers are legit.
Is really good to take risk as in trying something out just to know if it's legit or not but for how long are some of us going to fall for the same set of people before we know that nothing good can come out from these guys?

That's the cons of joining a investment related telegram group, nothings new, scammers will find its way to maximize all their doings for them to get a victim. All you need is to be informed and ignore those shits.
I'm not sure it's telegram the one to blame here! The features it offers are supposed to be used to enhance users privacy. Allowing users to create as many accounts as they want almost anonymously, deleting conversations... is not always a bad thing. Users who value their privacy know that.

There was a day I wanted to lay complaint in exchange for holding my deposit not to reflect, immediately I did that on the telegram group I saw series of messages coming to me for assistance while the main admin with tag hasn't responded to me on the telegram group, they clone the name of the admin and using it to pm me, I think is impersonation. Although I was conscious of receiving those messages and to what they are saying is for me to reveal my login details so along the line their discussion wasn't in line to help me rather they are interested for my login email and password. Then I noticed it was scammer and what I did was to block them all later run the admin responded to me in the telegram group without sending me messages. Telegram is not a safe place for business is too open for one to easily get scammed.

If you think about it, it's only logical that scammers will try to take advantage of you. Firstly, you joined a presale campaign of a token. That could itself be a scam, considering the overall history of ICOs and various crowdfunding crypto campaigns. When you join the group, scammers see a new person who probably has money to invest. Their logic says, let's give this person something to invest in and see how it goes. That's going to be enough in many cases to trick people.
That's why I mostly avoid telegram groups if it's about to crypto related channels. You'll always get those random people messaging you of something they've found out and it's a great opportunity that they're sharing as if they've found that will change your life and they're very optimistic about it. I guess Telegram really needs to step up on this one and has to do something with these users. But with them having the premium, many scammers can just avoid that and with their feature of easy changing the usernames/names of each user, it's one reason why it has became a den of scammers. So if Telegram isn't really doing anything against them, you just block those random messages that you get because you will really get these messages every channel you join, they're like watchers and observers waiting for some new people to message.

It happens that the moderators of the groups you're in are too lazy to ban these users or possibly one of their accounts, I ignore all these people if I did not communicate with them first here on Bitcointalk or from social media I'd never entertain these people, I also used to report these users but nothing happens so I just ignore and block them that's the easiest thing to do, Telegram is not a good place to communicate to unknown people I used this for notification and for known contacts.
Modify the Telegram settings so that no one can add you to any group unless you have registered its number. Search for options to enhance privacy and choose the one that suits you. Since you do not provide a service or sell products, you do not need strangers to communicate with you.

Telegram is full of bots. That's why I loved those groups asking a few sats to join. The one I knew of used to do it with lntxtbot (no longer active), but I guess it'd be possible to use some altternative. That's the only way to avoid bots

I don't understand you, if you feel this notice isn't worth it then just let it be, I think you have no idea what scammers have done to innocent people across the globe and if it hasn't happened to you just know that it might have happen to someone related to you in one way or the other.

i had the same experience with you a couple of months ago. I don't know who invited me to join the airdrop group and participate to receive a free new token. What makes me worry is someone asked me by PM to send KYC to get the free coin, he knows my real name and knows that I used to like to join in the past. I ignored him and didn't reply to his PM. I just reported the group to Telegram, but until today the group still exists and is not banned like an example.

Is really funny the way you said it about scammers how they flood your telegram and you think telegram is the only place? No way. The way scammers operates is just clueless to victims at times.
You can't say you know how to avoid scammers when you still know how to fall for them unless you feel like giving them that little token. Please in case of next time send it to me rather than giving them your cash😅.
You reporting those scam channels to moderators of telegram is a waste of time for me, is like it won't work like they're untouchable. Is best your avoid replying them because they really know how to get into their victims skin so I'd advise you do them the pleasure by reading their messages and continue doing your thing because as it is, nowhere is safe not even google you mentioned even the telegram X too.

I think that all the communities of the popular projects, platforms, wallets .. etc., in the crypto market on the Telegram app their members are targeted by scammers. The Telegram application has become one of the best and most indispensable communication applications and has a vast user base. You can find the option to report and block at the top of the account & If you provide your evidence and necessary details about any of the scammers and the reasons you believe they are scammers through https://t.me/notoscam or the following email: [email protected]. After the Telegram team reviews your report, they may impose restrictions on the account for a period of 7 days. After repeated reports from other members, the period of restriction on sending messages will be increased, and then finally, the ban will be imposed on the scammer's telegram account permanently.
Unfortunately, even if their accounts are banned, they will create other accounts with virtual numbers and continue to deceive people, so the solution is to block and report everyone who DMs you first, as group moderators follow this rule to protect their community.
Scammers are creative, victims are gullible. Nothing new there. Easy fix: don't trust it, and don't use it.

You can say that again I have a share of experience on telegram on people trying to scam me if you're active on one group like a bounty or a pre-sale group and they see you leaving comments they will tag you and message and some of them are even impersonating the admin of the group you're in, that is why you can see in the admins' profile the word they will not send a PM to you first, I am very quick to hit block if early on our conversation he tells me things that are too good to be true, I will not fall to this scheme.
