You have to verify your account before you can make use of the P2P. You know how telegram may not care about your privacy, I will advice you to not use Telegram for currency exchanges. Also know that it is an online wallet and that is risky.

And this time around we Nigerians facing this common issue, of no longer be able to access binance p2p and all that , so this time around we have to find some good alternative that may also help in adjusting to such term, That why I just decided to drop this .
Binance is not the only centralized exchange that is having centralized P2P. Also you can make use of decentralized P2P.

If you insist and still want to use Binance: Another alternative

Definitely, I don't advise that anyone use the telegram Wallet p2p or even use telegram wallet. Just like when we received information that opera mini now has a wallet, I wouldn't even dare to try it out. It's better they keep doing what they know how to do best than to diversify their function. We all know how risk an exchange could be if it's not properly managed, assuming they start first as exchange and build quite a reputation then diversify to a social media, it would have been better rather they started as social media and now they're into wallet and exchange. I'm not saying they can't give an outstanding performance, but the trust we have in developments like that is minimal compared to those companies who are focus in achieving one goal.
We don't need to risk our funds in this case, nothing seems special about it or even more better than the usual so we have no reason to risking it all. Binance ending whatever with NGN is not the end, there are other good exchanges that does P2P like Kucoin exchange whose selling price is even higher than that of Binance.

I don't think people using p2p actually care about their privacy. Telegram might be new to the game but they are not too different from the Binance that block and delist NGN service just that they are trusted by people but they do exactly what Telegram do which is they collect user information. There was a time when Binance just need only a BVN t verify customers which means that they have a way of checking users information if they were legit or not

I was pissed off when some people mentioning other exchanges on Twitter the Binance was service was suspended on the web and people were posting other exchanges. Now what I have notice is that these exchanges don't really open on web, it's only their app that is working and I don't really have an idea why Binance can be access through the app but not the web, the same thing with Kucoin.

I use telegram and am yet to see any feature related to that on mine, but just to advise you better on this, i will say that using a telegram generated wallet is an unsafe practice to do, I've also seem some browsers that does so, but you will have to do this at your own risk and i think they could be even more danger to use than the centralized exchanges because you can easily be hacked and these are not wallets they provides you with the private keys to your funds on the blockchain, just be careful.
That actually true, that is the reason why I don't make use of it often, I just try it only ones and it work fine and fast, just as I said before. But still you are right I won't advice anyone to hold their asset in such platform, because it might not be safe that why I posted it concerning p2p. Putting huge amount in such wallet is not also advisable too. Just felt like updating you guys about it.
Despite how much I hate making use of CEX I could say they are a necessary evil in certain times, even as that,  we should seek to make use of CEX that we have at least a convincing level of confidence on for our p2p trades , it should always be in the habit of transfer and trade ASAP and never to hold coins in them to avoid been a victim in any of it's doom's day, maybe a did done by the cex itself or outsider hack.

I have not heard that telegram has a wallet on it own. Telegram is a scammers' den so nothing good can come out from them and mostly anything concerning money and cryptocurrency. If telegram has wallet then scammers will is use it to lure innocent telegram users to send them coins. Me I will not advise anyone to use that wallet. Op qaht I will want you to tell me or I will like to ask is that, the telegram Wallet is for which of the coin does it supporting?

There are lot of exchanges to use in the country even Binance and others are not working or using p2p in the country. It is high time we use decentralized exchanges to avoid unnecessary drama like Binance and others.
However a plenty scammers dem dey use telegram dey scam pipo and even me sef never hear be say even telegram yet em own wallet, that thing no look legit to me.
Although even brave browser, opera-mini get em own wallet but all these wallets no really dey safe to use, person fit hack them anytime.
Besides I no see any reason why person go just leave to create electrum wallet we no dey even take up to 2 minutes.

Aside the risk involved of potential hack, users have to verify their telegram account too to be able to use the p2p feature. I honestly can never feel safe & secure using telegram to run my p2p transactions tbh when there are still other reputable exchanges other than binance of which I tried some out over the weekend and I think the swiftest & less complicated of the ones I tried was actually bitget exchange

Telegram might not well replace binance in any way, it would do slow at times to get users that are ready to sell or exchange crypto with you and as we know it, telegram is home to various kind of scammers which might choice to exploit newbies to steal their funds, you well know the risk of p2p, one user can have evil intentions behind his phone.

Most of you here are aware of telegram having a  Wallet , so first when I Heard of it didn't believe then went to check for myself (that was months ago) then I Found out telegram actually have wallet, And  have actually use of it in some transaction and it went well and it's pretty fast also. So recently they just introduced the use of p2p in their wallet. With some nice rate but to be honest I haven't make use of the p2p yet. And this time around we Nigerians facing this common issue, of no longer be able to access binance p2p and all that , so this time around we have to find some good alternative that may also help in adjusting to such term, That why I just decided to drop this .

For me I don't think such wallet is safe to store coin. Or to even do a P2P transaction. Cryptocurrency expecially bitcoin is meant to be store in a decentralized wallets where it can be easily assessed. I believe telegram wallet is not safe and will not advice anyone to use it. let us be careful if not we will fall into the web of scammers because we are looking for alternatives to sell our dollar to fiat. Let us not be desperate because there are many options like kucoin, bybit, mexc, or even electrum and trust wallet. Infact there are many of them.

Personally I would not do that, having been scared of most Cexs talk more of using telegram wallet that can be easily compromised. No matter the threat of the government on our portfolio there must always be a way out and making use of the telegram wallet is not the best idea. Verifying one's telegram will also cost some money, when their are other Cexs with the attribute of Binance.

I'm not even sure this news has gone viral. I'm just seeing this and I don confirm am, with the replies from forum members using the telegram p2p service is not advisable, aside from safety and security I never really liked the app because of the scam news, almost half of the scam stories we hear online telegram must be attached so I'm very careful when it comes to telegram. This resent news we've heard nobody don even confirm about the process like a feedback so what's the essence of trusting telegram p2p. The issue with binance and  naira now, make we calm down abeg, let's not act too fast enter another wahala wey big pass this one like seeing the telegram p2p service.

This is one thing I like about this Nigeria local board, they can help bitcoiners to find solution to their problem because, when P2P was removed from the binance, I was thinking all hope is lost because that is the popular exchange where many Nigeria people are using to exchange their coins but since our government directed the binance official to removed the P2P has made many to find alternative exchange that is working like binance.

I will not try this telegram wallet because, it will not be secure like binance and other wallet people have be using over some years and, telegram will make some of your friends on telegram to recognize you that you are into such business.
Yeah yah right . Not only this local board the whole forum. Am actually glad that I post it here so that those that was planning to use it would see others reply in this thread concerning how risky it may turn up to be when using such wallet intl telegram app. And most of us here value our privacy and also the safety of our asset, so I don't think such app would be safe with that, ( our privacy and asset) because it can endup being target for  hackers.

Yes I heard this for the first time today.

I used the search button and typed "Wallet" in it and wallet bot was in the result. ccording to them, "the bot can store send and exchange crypto assets inside Telegram"

Happy right? I am not the one who would tell anyone to use or not to use it because what do I know?

But here is a honest advice I would give to a friend. If you stand in front of your mirror and shout "Telegram" three times, the word scam will appear. I need not write further.

Lastly, telegram has no active support.

Do with this information what you will.

The reason they take that action did not still change things are still expensive like damn. Because as dollars have calm down normally things supposed to still come down.
