It is too difficult to mine bitcoins so it's better to mine altcoin! Nowadays there is a large number of altcoins - two most promising are Litecoin and Dogecoin. You should try also other altcoins, maybe you'll like them

1. Read forum
2. Find some good alt-coins that are launching
3. Rent mining rig or mine yourself.
4. Observe market and dump at the best time Cheesy

And you will get nice profit...

Mine FateCoin! No asic can come to this coin as you can 50.000 FATE and after that you realize that you are on the wrong chain so you have to restart wallet and sync again!

this coin is like a game and I like it a lot ... I only have 188 FATE but I hope I will get more!

This is really a new alt coin and all who were crying out that they want a new concept I don't understand why don't you come and mine fate???

a few details
{
"blocks" : 6085,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.00024414,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : true,
"genproclimit" : 1,
"hashespersec" : 8984,
"networkhashps" : 19146,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

for GPU mining difficulty is 0.024414 I think (not really sure how big it is but it's bigger than for CPU)

I've been mining Battlecoin for a couple days just to try something different. I've trying to find what the most profitable SHA-256 coin to mine right now is. Is there a site that shows all the SHA coins and where they stand probability wise? I've found a couple sites that kinda do, but all it does is make me more confused.

Hell, is Battle coin worth mining?

At this point, my graphics card sucks, so scrypt mining isn't much of an option.

As of right now, at-home mining for bitcoins is dead for this year if you are not mining already.  The real winners in at-home mining are the ones that got their hands on a first batch Cointerra IV or early Antminers.

I have 32MB video card on my laptop, can i earn at least $10 monthly mining some alter. coins?

32MB "card" won't be able to mine - no OpenCL or Cuda support.

Never mine on a laptop, not worth it.

Hello I am mining mintcoins right now!
You wil get alot of coins even if you have a bad videocard!
And the prices will go up soon.

A good alternative would be Dogecoins.
The block rewards will halve soon and that will drive the price up.

I also heard noblecoin is a good investment.

You can also try mining coins which are not yet on any exchange, just don't stick with a single one, their difficulty is low, but only a few make it, however when they do their price explodes so you can get a lot of money for your mining time.

Mining bitcoin is not profitable currently.

Litecoin (LTC) is the heavy hitter in the alts and could be considered Bitcoins' accessory.  It's still profitable to mine LTC.

I only mine/buy/use bitcoins.  I'm in the bitcoin game because I like bitcoins.  Altcoins such as litecoins and dogecoins have their value but I just have no interest in them.  Mining is an adventure and a game for me rather than purely for profit and the idea of mining altcoins just do not appeal to me.  I see bitcoins as gold and litecoins as silver.  all other altcoins are similar to copper, tin, and etc.  they all will be worth something but there is only one type of gold, bitcoins.  future historians will see this era as the second gold rush.
