2010... I didn't see the potential at the time and discarded it as something to check later.

Here comes September 2012, a Bitcoin is worth $10. I have some savings and am ready to buy Bitcoins... but I end up traveling around the world for 10 months..
June 2013, I come back to reality and a Bitcoin is worth a hundred bucks Cry
I buy only a hundred... and end up selling them not much later.

After a few months I forget about Bitcoin a bit. And there goes the bubble, and I'm too late again...
Then comes the crash, and greedy as I am, I bet the price will come down to $400... I still bought, but not as much as I wanted to.

Now I have alerts on my phone and check the news constantly, having fun trading, doing TA, etc.
But I'm starting to hoard on my Bitcoins. It's hard not to be outperformed by such a mighty market!

Short term ? I'm a bear, of course.
Long term ? To the Moon!

Have fun guys.

I work in finance/payment industry, and Bitcoins has definitely come up in the last year and a bit as a great method for fraud.  It seems like a lot of people's legit money is being stolen and converted into Bitcoins, which then makes the trail quite anonymous.  It's been quite profitable lately for these fraudsters! haha.

New In Town...
I was involved in a lot of very nerdy clubs/groups in college, and one of the guys there told us about Bitcoin.  We all looked at it, thought it was stupid, and didn't do anything about it.

Years later (April 2013), one of my friends tells me that he actually kept playing around with Bitcoin and now all of a sudden he has a ridiculous amount of money and tells me to get started.

I look into it some more, paying a lot more attention to the technical and potential profit involved, and decide that it's too late for me to get involved.  Instead, I start mining Litecoins.  Litecoins have been very good to me, in particular in these last few weeks, and they have helped me get the capitol to really sink my teeth into Bitcoin.

Now I have a pretty respectable mining setup, I run a free BTC Faucet, and I frequently use BTC as a real currency.  I totally understand the mindset of holding onto BTC because who knows how much it'll be worth in even the near future, but I believe that people need to spend these "currencies" if we intend to keep calling them that. Heard about it years ago on a Yahoo article, must have been around 2010 ..they were talking about this BitCoin that is used to buy drugs and other shady things on the "Silk Road"saying the FBI is planning to crackdown on it. Immediately I thought "hey this sounds interesting, I'd like to get in on this" seeing as it was a digital currency which was very interesting to me..I went to google search expecting I could buy some with a credit card and virtually no results..there was no info I could find on how to get them back then.
