Terracoin recently went through 3 mandatory updates. On each of those updates, network hard-forked into old, abandoned blockchain and new blockchain.
All major TRC miners, pools and services went through upgrades on time, but many users did not which means those users are still on one of old, abandoned
blockchains. They are either oblivious to the fact new coins generated on those blockchains will never, ever be accepted by newest blockchain, or are just
plain stupid or ignorant, thinking that situation will be fixed somehow in the future or whatever else. There are even attempts to "attack" newest blockchain
by injecting dozens of blocks, which is funny in itself since newest blockchain is at least 2000 blocks ahead of old, abandoned blockchains and growing much
faster than any other blockchain. There are also few hard-coded checkpoints added to newest Terracoin wallets - any and all attempts to add blocks older
than those checkpoints are doomed, it won't work, ever! Moreover, sending or receiving TRC is blockchain specific action, it works just for blockchain user is
currently at, which means sending TRC from one of old, abandoned blockchains to BTC-e, Vircurex, Cryptonit or any other wallet on newest blockchain won't
work, and the same goes for receiving TRC.

There is one and just one way to fix those issues - download one of newer versions of Terracoin wallet (0.1.3-36, 38, 39 or 40) then do the following:

1. Shut down Terracoin wallet if it is running and backup wallet.dat file located in Terracoin data directory
2. Backup terracoin.conf file located in the same directory as well (in case you have such file)
3. Delete everything in Terracoin data directory except wallet.dat and terracoin.conf files
4. Install and run new Terracoin wallet and let it download the whole blockchain, it might take some time until it finishes
5. Once blockchain download is completed and Terracoin wallet synced with network, shut it down
6. Right-click on shortcut you are using to run Terracoin wallet and add -rescan to field "Target" - it looks like this on my side:

"C:\Program Files\TerraCoin\terracoin-qt.exe" -rescan

7. Run new Terracoin wallet again and let it complete the rescan
8. Remove -rescan from shortcut, no need to have it there at all times
