I don't think taking the testnet airdrop will benefit you, and it's just a waste of your time later, but if you want to try it there's no problem and it comes back to yourself, and I really appreciate your curiosity about testnet airdrop .
Now there are a lot of tesnet airdrops depending on how we analyze the airdrop. there is also like you said the Tesnet Airdrop does not pay and only contains fraud, this airdrop will only waste your time and will not get paid. but in my opinion there is still a lot of potential for the Tesnet airdrop than the Aidrop Telegram Bot.

Exactly, it depends on your knowledge, how good your analysis is, a lot of people have received rewards from testnet events and it is worth hundreds of times the $1 or $2 reward from regular airdrop. Do not expect this market to have something 100% certain, even if you put your money to invest in the hope of making a profit, you must research very carefully before investing. So don't expect valuable free stuff if you're lazy.

@samuraijin, I see you are participating in a bounty campaign, are you sure it will be profitable for you or is it just a waste of time and effort when most of today's bounty campaigns are junk and scam.

Testnet airdrops have only recently become popular since DeFi and AMM exchanges began to spread widely. they do pay but their work is more difficult than regular airdrops because we have to test some of the features on the exchange in their beta version. As long as there are not many participants who take part, the testnet airdrop project can usually generate quite a lot of money.

It's already in its name "Test" meaning you will be testing out some websites. Usually, they are swapping platforms. I have participated a lot of these before but surprisingly I didn't get any tokens from them. Airdrops have gone really bad right now.

Testnet airdrops might seem to be new to some of us but they are still the same in terms of rewards distribution. Not all that performs the task correctly will be awarded but you will only get an entry and it will be drawn later on. You can try accessing airdropalert.io they have this kind of airdrops along with other airdrops. Just want to clear out that I am not connected with them but I only like to use them when it comes to airdrops.

Well, as you said, if that is so, those participants are not newbies to the crypto or they might already have some experiences with the traditional airdrops that we had years ago. we need to face it, the crypto world is evolving so fast that even airdrops and bounties are no longer the same and as long as we gonna earn from it, I think we are all good and we just need to adopt and get used to it in the way where we can contribute the owner of the projects about their products.

OP, you don't need to spam the forum with the same topic. You already had this one running here and the community is trying to provide you with clarifications regarding the question you asked here. There was no need opening another thread on the same issue today as can be seen here in this What is a testnet thread.

same as bounty now days. very few projects are willing to pay hunters. so i would like to invest my time there. thank you for your valuable feedback

It's not like a bounty, a bounty is a campaign announced with a certain amount of bonuses before the campaign launch. Those who participate in the bounty campaign when completing the quest will definitely be rewarded. But unfortunately most of after bounty campaigns are over, project developers have scammed people, not paying hunters, they are scammers.

As for the testnet, they do not announce that you will receive a reward for participating, but you join on a voluntary basis, they have no obligation to pay you after the testnet ends. it's called a tribute gift for early users, not a mandatory task like bounty campaign. So guessing which testnet project will pay is based on each person's experience, as there is no any advance notice.

If you check the name itself testnet, it is for the purpose of testing whether or not you will use different Blockchain/network with your coin because in Ethereum  there are different testnet network, like Ropsten. It is before deploying the actual chain or the coins itself.

You can never know whether a project would pay you, since it will always be a risk to the bounty hunters if they will believe in the project and hold the coin or something. Just choose something that you believe in.

The occupation of testnets is risky. The fact is that they often yield nothing, especially those that are free and do not require any real liquidity. 95% of such testnets turn out to be a waste of time. Occupations of testnets absolutely do not guarantee future rewards, this is exactly the main risk. Those testnets, which require real liquidity, adding real altcoins turn out to be solvent most of the time, but such testnets do not gather a large audience, because not everyone is ready to spend their altcoins in some test events without any guarantees.

...To avoid payment delay for the testnet airdrop participants is the reason why some project dev choose to pay their testnet airdrop in BTC or any well-established crypto its not that they didn't trust their coin.

Can you give an example when the execution of tasks in the test network was paid for with bitcoins? It looks unrealistic: why would a new project buy bitcoins for payment on the test network if they can pay with their coins, which they have in huge quantities and also for free.
OMG. My bad. i was referring to bug bounty which was paid in BTC instead of the project native coin. You're totally correct. Testnet airdrop is participants are paid in the project native coin while bug bounties are sometimes paid in BTC or well-established altcoin.

i follow testnet airdrop a lot and it really wastes my time, usually testnet airdrop is used to test a crypto project before switching to mainnet, like using fake money before making it real money, so no one really pays me with real money, at basically tesnet money is just fake money that can't be exchanged for real money, so I no longer participate in the testnet airdrop event because I don't get paid, so think again about joining an airdrop like that

Meanwhile, I see more people making money from testnet than participating in bounty campaigns or junk airdrops. Projects running testnet not all will distribute rewards to their test users. They only distribute to actual testers and give comments so that they can improve their product better than before mainnet, test users regularly interact on their testnet community.

The fact that you do not receive the reward may be that you did not analyze the project before joining, secondly, that you did not make an effort to help them perfect the product, but only participated superficially in the hope of receiving a reward. Testnet is not like the airdrop you are participating in, just spam and you will be rewarded, it requires seriousness and diligence to implement.
so it means we have the ambition of success of the project and we have to work really hard on it?? and also we have to dedicate like we are the project owners who is trying to build a successful project?

Testnet airdrop meant if the developers are giving you reward to try their testnet and check how reliable their network is. There's no guarantee if you can get the reward from using their testnet. The developers has been creating a pool that will be divided among some lucky testers. that means only some people can win the reward while the rest got nothing. If you are lucky enough and you can get reward from what you have been doing before. It's random reward. that's why it's called airdrop.

It is not a random reward, but rather, project developers will only give rewards to those who have contributed the most, the most useful ideas to the project. That means you have to work hard and give your best to get the reward, not you just sign up and sit there waiting for them to give you the reward. Rewards only for those who deserve it not for spammers like airdrop. But not every project will give out rewards after the testnet program ends, the testnet is voluntary, they will not notify in advance that there will be rewards for participants.
It is only notified after the end of the program.
looks like we have to invest many of our time  there and also there is a risk of not to get paid if the project does not  become success??

Tesnet airdrop is an event held to test the project under development before they officially launch it with the mainnet network, they hold the event so that the community can give feedback to the project after testing all its features so that they can find any flaws or issues that are not working perfect because of the help from the community involved in tesnet events and usually when the project is officially launched they will give rewards to members who joined the event before.
oh. just to test network?? then the tokens on the test net has no value you mean??
Maybe because during the testnet airdrop stage the token is never launched or listed but most project teams always pay the project feature tester base on the price they sold their token during IEO, etc.
Nevertheless, most testnet airdrop participants like being paid in Bitcoin or a well-established coin rather than the project token/coin whose future is not certain.

Rewards are paid to testers after the end of the testnet and when their tokens are listed on exchanges or have been traded, it will take a long time to get the reward, not immediately after the testnet ends.

I have not seen a project that pays testnet rewards in bitcoin although this is the wish of a lot of people. They always pay with the project token itself, this is very meaningful for the project, it motivates people to use their token more, it's a way to develop their project. Paying with bitcoin proves their token is not trustworthy, i think they will never do this.
The mode of payment and payment time duration depend on the project team's decision and plan for the testnet airdrop.
To avoid payment delay for the testnet airdrop participants is the reason why some project dev choose to pay their testnet airdrop in BTC or any well-established crypto its not that they didn't trust their coin.

Can you list the projects you have participated in or the testnet projects that use bitcoin for payment? Honestly, I never saw it and never thought it would happen. Testnet such as airdrops, reward distribution will usually be started when the project is completed such as officially running the mainnet or listing on exchanges, and time is a must for testers.

Testnet is not as widely or publicly available as airdrops, but the search for testnet projects is done by the hunters themselves and I must say very few projects are willing to pay testers. The reward is just a part called gratitude to those who accompanied me in the early stages of the project, they are not obligated to pay after the end of the testnet so they don't need to use btc to pay the testers.

I've tried testnet on new projects several times but often I don't find the right project even though at that time I did research but in the end the project didn't work and the prize was lost we just did a free testnet without any reward it's really difficult to predict if you want get lucky from this testnet airdrop.

I just understand it and never do it again because I know doing this testnet is an average project just wants to get a lot of traffic on the website, I don't think all testnets are the same but what I feel they just take advantage of it.
I think have two ability missing reward when joining testnet event between incomplete task or you late and reach of participant get reward from testnet event have been full. Right now with all testnet project reward distribution not for all participants, have limited from 1,500 until 3,000 participants and who First Come First Served get reward in testnet event. I am doing testnet when have free time and not really hope can get reward depending rule of testnet have changed nowadays.

First time testnet event launching not limited participants and reward send to all register have did and complete all task, not matter joined on early or deadline days when testnet event almost ended, trough complete all task from testnet we will get reward, but right now random reward not really active for joining with all new testnet project event launching.

I joined a testnet last month and the tasks are so hard that I had to gave up, testnets are not straightforward like airdrops, and for the fact that you may never get paid makes me sick of it, this days its really hard to see new projects with a good reliable team.
testnet is not worth anymore. It has so many hard tasks and you are also betting with your luck to receive the reward. I think that when some people make money from there and it's pure luck. There are so many new projects with reliable team but the bearish market was making them all disappear from the market. this is caused by when you are aware if those team has taken the decision to stay away from the market during crypto winter

If you're a newcomer, there's a cool and easy-to-understand testnet from Amulet Protocol going on right now.
It's the first decentralized risk protection protocol for Rust-based ecosystems.
They have bounty programm now AmuNation
There you can win various rewards, such as a whitelist for token seals or nft of various rarities.

...Usually testnet airdrop needs some money for gas fee and other requirements to be considered as participant. This isn't the usual airdrop where participants do requirements such as spreading the project, promoted or getting referrals. Testnet airdrops also has less abusers since we need money for gas fee. ..

You have incorrect information about completing tasks in the test network. To pay for gas in any of the test networks, test tokens are used as payment. Accordingly, you do not incur any material expenses, except for the time spent on completing the testnet tasks.

Testnet is not the same as creating an airdrop or a bounty campaign and there will be no announcement of rewards to participants prior to the event. Participation in the testnet is voluntary, so you must do your research before joining the testnet of any project. And the distribution of rewards as a tribute to the testers, so they will select the best, most active contributors rather than distributing all the participants. That's why I said that participating in a testnet is not the same as participating in an airdrop or a bounty, just drop spam and expect a reward, you have to work hard and stay active in their testnet group.

...i have a idea to participate for testnet airdrops and earn some money for my day today expense. i will use this and will stick with you boss. thank you.

In this case, you should remember that not all testnet reward their participants and very often the awards are not as big as you expect. In addition, very often you have to wait a long time, it happens that more than a year before the main network is launched, after which an award will be distributed to testnet participants. But in any case, you made the right decision to take part in the testing, as this will help improve your skills by completing the test tasks.
thank you for your idea sir. but i need to find some good project which is ready to launch testnet first and i would invest my time there. time does not matter. patient is the key

You need to learn how to find testnet announcements on various social networks yourself, since no one will do this work for you. But considering that you are new to this business, I have found several such guides for you to run testnet:
https://dittofinance.gitbook.io/docs/support/devnet-guide
https://deepwaters.gitbook.io/deepwaters-public/tokens/usdwtr
There are such testnet to participate in which you must first register, for example, as here: https://airtable.com/shrnhbZOOXnosXTJb

...i have a idea to participate for testnet airdrops and earn some money for my day today expense. i will use this and will stick with you boss.

I joined a testnet last month and the tasks are so hard that I had to gave up, testnets are not straightforward like airdrops, and for the fact that you may never get paid makes me sick of it, this days its really hard to see new projects with a good reliable team.

that's it. Anyone who have participated will be randomly reward or reward will be based on how many contributions that already made. IMO if the reward must be random. In my opinion if participated in the testnet airdrop didn't mean if you can get reward. The developers didn't wanna try to give you free money lol. i think that you didn't even know how it works
They'll just randomly go to give the reward and that sucks. Coming out with a project and yet going to get some profits after being launched, it's a way to adjust and get some free help from the community. This is happening and keeps on happening because there are people willing to participate even if the reward is uncertain to them.

That's why it is a test. It's a form of supporting the project in its early stage. Like the usual airdrops before although mechanics are now different.

If you found it worth your time, it's your decision to participate in those.

Much better to be involved on their discussion channel and talk with their community to see if it's worth continuing involving there.

Testnet airdrops are really worth nothing, but if you are willing to share some feedbacks on the coin, how should they improve it, how to make it even better for user experience etc., they can reward you for participating and helping them identify some things that users may find wrong or not likeable on their coin. There are tons of testnet airdrops that are being announced in the altcoin announcement section of this forum, and some of them are offering bounties to actually help them pinpoint some things they can improve on. You might want to check it out.

i follow testnet airdrop a lot and it really wastes my time, usually testnet airdrop is used to test a crypto project before switching to mainnet, like using fake money before making it real money, so no one really pays me with real money, at basically tesnet money is just fake money that can't be exchanged for real money, so I no longer participate in the testnet airdrop event because I don't get paid, so think again about joining an airdrop like that

You won't get paid for all testnets and the majority won't pay, this is just a give-a-try scenario so know and fully understand what you are trying to do here, testnets is just like participating in airdrops and bounty campaigns and the results are very similar.

I don't think taking the testnet airdrop will benefit you, and it's just a waste of your time later, but if you want to try it there's no problem and it comes back to yourself, and I really appreciate your curiosity about testnet airdrop .

Unfortunately there is no platform that points people to testnet participation, I guess that's what you seek right? Well you can use coin gecko to find new projects and open their website to check if they have any available testnet task, right now a project called diva protocol is holding testnet on its website but its very very challenging. The website is below.
