There was a post about that a couple days ago, in the discussion forum
Basically somebody mined blocks on his own disconnected from internet, managed to get a longer block chain and then released it
All the clients forgot the "true" shorter blockchain and accept this one

Hi I'm seeing some transactions on testnet that were confirmed and are now not confirmed.  I'm not sure what this is called, so I'm calling it a 'split' where maybe a parallel blockchain tookover the official blockchain.

Here's an example transaction id that was confirmed:  a6d8feac3a7aba1da8fe11a35a54274c5f2bcff953f24370d970020f873e5555
It was 500 BTC received from mveRCV1jkAKstF4rDet8iUwE793TKdPVum

It was sent on 8/21/2011.

Can anyone explain this for me?

Thanks
