Fair price? there's no such fair price or fake price in Bitcoin since no one can control or manipulate it!

It is a fair price when you are able to buy it 75% to 80% cheaper than its previous ath, if not for the bear market you won't see BTC as low as its current price.
Those who know how to take advantage of the market always see the period as a huge opportunity for the next bull circle. It is left for any smart investor to either take advantage or seat back and watch.

$70,000, $50,000 - honestly, it was really expensive that normal investors can't make it and they fall into investing shitcoins. Though DCA can be applied, however, the price is still high and OP was right, it was not a fair price anymore. As we drop down to $17,000, many people got happy but can't hide the fact that many were also disappointed because they are buying high and expecting a price increase after buying.

That is why we should never lose this opportunity as this never takes so long to stay, many speculations for the price surge in the coming years and we have to anticipate that moment before it comes.

It would be pricy if you are aiming for one Bitcoin but if not, you may invest a certain amount of it. Problem is the peak price; the market value is volatile in nature and it won't be a good idea to buy whenever the market price is high. But same thing somehow happens during down lows; people are worried to invest because of their worries that the market price may not increase soon. What I am trying to point out is; no matter what the price of Bitcoin is, if the investor is not ready to engage, he/she won't. High expectations of high market price is a bit normal simply because Bitcoin managed to break limitations and expectations from it, many times already so even if the price would seem to be 'too high', there will still be investors to invest and hope for a higher market value in the future.

...

I hope it goes down even more, how happy I am every time I will be able to get some btc at a fair price.

I don't know how many other people think like me and the OP, but I really want this to happen. The bitcoin drop is more of an opportunity for me than a fear. I'm not afraid of bitcoin falling more, what I'm afraid of is that I don't have enough money to buy them. Perhaps I'm a bit greedy to want to own a lot of bitcoins, but to make a good profit, we need to buy at the lowest price and sell at the high price. So I expect bitcoin to drop much more in 2023, and it will be great if bitcoin drops below 10k.

Personally I think this is already a great price to start buying some bitcoins. It may go down even more of course, it depends if you are willing to take the risk and wait hoping it'll happen. Another important thing is to actually have a value in mind and placing the orders.

the decline in BTC is indeed a joy for those who are still in accumulation mode. I have been accumulating gradually since the price was still above $20K USD. However, because it uses gradual accumulation of DCA each decrease. so that the average value of my purchases becomes relatively lower.
The decline in bitcoin this time has indeed had a positive impact on small investors who want to enter to invest in bitcoin from a price that is not too high.

A bow arrow will fly quickly if we first pull it backwards with a strong pressure from the bowstring. the tighter we pull back. the faster the arrows shot. BTC is now in square off mode before sprinting. more and more people are interested in bitcoin. as evidenced by the number of holders which continues to grow every day. the whales may come out partially. but the small fish then flocked to replace.

before a tsunami occurs, the sea water will recede first.

2018 would be a down for some us despite the huge price drops until late 2020. But for those who is still holding it from the price crash 2018 until today then I got a mad respect for you.
But as for today, I'm doing DCA as I don't want to do any hassle to think for now due to real life problems so I think if the price drops even more then it would be better for some people to grab more Bitcoin to your bag. But as for DCA strategies, it doesn't affect but it will add up in the future once you are ready to withdraw it.
Not all does have the money to buy this is why its really that they are minding that much on where they would be entering on such price.Yes, some are really that thankful on seeing these prices once again.

Yes, its really that good to enter with these prices which are really that in likes in 2018.We dont know if we would really be reaching out those previous ATH's that we do have on after years.

For now, even myself isnt really that too much confident because im expecting that it would really be that much lower, but i had already secured out some buys
within these levels.

Weak hands mentality. This also explains why  these investors you mentioned remains an investor who did not even experience how to have a pretty good profit.
Did the investors in 2018 felt demotivated when Btc fell almost  on the level of $2k after it peaked in 2017 at $19k?
As far as I am aware of, Bitcoin continued to have adoption globally regardless of how it's priced.

When you look at Bitcoin's historical data and understand it thoroughly, it would probably going to change your mindset and motivate you to buy during the dip.
This is how it should be, but the lower the price falls, the greater our fear becomes. And in this situation, we understand that cyclicality for bitcoin is normal, but I also think everyone can agree that nothing can last forever, at some point everything can change, and the usual order of things will become different. I believe in growth, I believe that a new bull market will come, but this does not make me less doubtful than other people, but I continue to buy and believe.

Thank you for driving away all the sellers of smoke and speculators. Thank you for demonstrating the reality of a market that is for all the voiceless in the world. You must be happy, you got your big fiat reward after speculating with BTC. Thanks to all who made this technically possible, those who maintain the network and who have created wonderful things these last 4 years. They worked twice as hard thinking btc would get to 100k (not saying it won't get there) you have left us wonderful things for crypto.

I hope it goes down even more, how happy I am every time I will be able to get some btc at a fair price.

You are applauding, I do not know but people are affraid because a lot of people have bought Bitcoin Over 30k to 40k dollars and that's why fear and greed level is too much low. It means that very less people will buy Bitcoin at lower rate and later when btc might go above 100k dollars than these people will cry.

A lot of people believe we are walking through the bottom. One thing is for sure, Bitcoin is pretty undervalued and this may well be the best time to buy and a good entry point for new blood to get into the bandwagon.

There are some who say that this will be a rough bear market and probably the longest one, but from what we know about Bitcoin the next super cycle could be just around the corner, and once it starts, we may see way higher than 100k

Yeah, I am not sure what the user you quoted is talking about. Wouldn't the 64k ATH back then make the investor wait for the price to at least go down so that they can now buy for themselves? If I was just a newbie, I would have done the same. Newer investors would be hella having a great time once they get their Bitcoin now and surely if those who do not have that much money had managed as well if Bitcoin even goes down further would have a great time as well.

Current investors would just like "sleep on the market" if they do not have more to invest, unless they invested something that they were not supposed to invest which is a common mistake for investors these days smh. Roll Eyes

Well, as for me, I am wishing that BTC can go back to the time when it was just $1 so I can buy a thousand and then sell them at $20K at the very least...that could made me so rich since I am just residing in a poor country (though a very beautiful one). But at the back of my mind...when that can come true maybe BTC is already worthless just like what we are seeing with FTT right now due to the debacles orchestrated by SBF. Anyway, no one can really predict where Bitcoin is going...so maybe this can be the best time to buy some hoping that dipping will not further dip.
Looks like you regretted that when the bitcoin price was $1 you didn't know about bitcoin.
You shouldn't expect the price of BTC to go back in time and what you should see right now is that the current bitcoin price is much cheaper than $60k before and let's just say that the current price is as cheap as $1 bitcoin used to be. so you don't have to hope that bitcoin will return to the past if even now bitcoin is on a big discount and your chance to have more.

I do not think we should be happy with decrease in bitcoin prices just because it allows us to buy more bitcoins. This is because of two reasons:

1)  If there is drastic fall in price of bitcoin, it will affect the trust of users on bitcoin. From 60k , now it is at 20k. How will it look like to a new investor. He will think that there is so much volatility and thus it is not a good thing. Thus it will make new investors go away from bitcoin and they will never invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin adoption will be affected because of this.

2) Let us now think of current investors. Current investors who have invested at high levels will also feel demotivated when they see drastic fall in price of bitcoin. They will also feel like quitting bitcoin investment and will leave this field for ever. It will also result in reduced bitcoin adoption thought the world.
What I do know is that if any existing or new investor wants to invest in bitcoin, they will not lose faith in bitcoin no matter what the circumstances.
because every investor already has a bitcoin track record analysis so far, always giving the best price in the future. so that no matter what happens to the bitcoin price, investors will never panic, regret, or lose faith in bitcoin

You're right.

@krishnaverma: If you are not a believer in bitcoin then you can leave the market, as bitcoin does not need to keep people who have no belief in it as well. Those who don't have enough faith, those who don't try their best, don't deserve the rewards. Bitcoin is just a vehicle, price movements are caused by human behavior, and you cannot expect everyone to win in the market. Money cannot be created by itself, it is transferred from the weak hand to the diamond hand.

It would be a disaster for others who bought at a high price but for us, that is buying for bitcoin; then it would be gold! I will also not make my mistake again, whatever I will do to buy it. But based on what I saw and the experts' analysis, it's difficult to reach, as it is very low from today's price. We can still purchase it now, no matter if it's just a small value; at least we bought it, and it would accumulate over time.
You don't need to consult an expert, a return to the 2016 price level for bitcoin is highly unlikely. I don't think it's a good thing for bitcoin to fall that deep, it could be a market crash, the end of the market.

Bitcoin price in 2016 is under $1000 and if bitcoin falls to that level that would actually be worse than seeing it as an opportunity and I really don't believe people will buy despite what they are claiming. If you don't want to make the same mistake again, buying bitcoin at the current price is already an extremely cheap price, don't expect more because bitcoin is growing and getting bigger day by day, big drops are sometimes not good for bitcoin.
I would, I really would, not just because it would be an insanely well investment, but because I like having bitcoins, as much as I possibly can, doesn't really matter if it doesn't end up being a good investment, I would still keep buying even if it dropped to 1 dollar, would be a novelty thing if nothing else.

You do not understand that there are people out there like me who would be involved with crypto world no matter what the price is, that’s not the aim for us, sure we love it when we profit from it, but even if we dont, as long as we are in the crypto world that is goo enough for us. That’s the type of people who would continue to buy no matter what the price is.

Op made a good point, the market is still bearish and there is not any valid reason to say the bearish phase is over because of that, some people are not happy and they are worried about the price because their asset is losing its price over and over, while the people who look for a profit are gathering and buying bitcoin right now because they know the market is giving them a discount to buy bitcoin on a cheaper price while other people are panic selling they can have a chance to buy more bitcoins.

I wasn't aware of the bitcoin price around 2018, I can't attest to whether the crypto market is returning to the market of 2018 or not. The only thing I can say is that this is another given opportunity to invest in bitcoin for those that miss or encountered the 2018 bearish market. The opportunity is been thrown at you now, to invest if you can

While you're happy that the market is dipping so you can increase your holding, many are still skeptical going in. They see the ongoing dip as a falling knife situation. A lot of wannabe investors love quoting Warren Buffet on the need to buy when others are scared and sell when they become greedy hodling. However, they don't keep to that fundamental principle of investing. Sometimes, I don't want to go out and blame them for developing cold feet during times like that because we are often going to be scared too watching the situation life. We get wiser with hindsight.

It is just about to think that not all the time we see Bitcoin on highs, but also see huge price deductions. Might say some are happy with this dropping scenario but also some people are mad as they were in losing. But aside from these things, it also teaches us the importance of being patient as we know that not all investors and traders carry this attitude, very often they lose this as they are simply affected by FUDs.

So, we don't have to miss this chance.

A lot of people got rekt with Luna and FTX. No money to invest in btc anymore  Undecided

Sad story. Well, that could've at least gave them a lesson not to pour more money on alts that's been controlled by a group of people than with Bitcoin. That's a massive two in a row, and many more to come.
Bitcoin is giving us another opportunity this year to get what we're looking for in the bullrun and possible ATH.
These people who've lost their money into that altcoins might probably going to miss Bitcoin's bullrun too.
What an unfortunate turn of events lol.

usually the FOMO is triggered when the price approaches the ATH.
but in reality it is during these collapses that you have the best chance of buying cheap coins.
I would also add ... sell some shitcoins that you have accumulated "believing they were the new bitcoin" this is the best time to do some cleaning Wink
The worst case scenario is when one sells at a price below the entry, and if you have the right frame of mind and approach you will always e fine with the Bitcoin market conditions at whatever point in time.

Most people believe in shitcoins to be the next Bitcoin but those coins keep falling in value constantly without any form of recovery Bitcoin has always regained its value at several points when it declines in price and Bitcoin have also made all-time high price several and when it comes to Bitcoin, I only have one advice and that is, always know when to enter the market and when to exit the market. The best form is, to buy low and sell high, so each bear market is an opportunity to buy more.

Actually with the recent event where FTX is bankrupt and the other exchange also got an impact if they hold FTT token, it doesn't effect Bitcoin price at all since it's about the exchange, not Bitcoin. But there's many stupid people who think Bitcoin isn't safe and then sold it blatantly, this make a short dump due to panic. Sooner Bitcoin would recover from this short dump.
There is always people like that and things like exchange bankruptcy is always a thing to take care about. It creates massive panic and people will follow the panic track to make it even worse. We don't know if Bitcoin price will slowly crashing despite this exchange's problem but it does create a huge news this month and it may affect something in the future.
I do not think that bitcoin price will crash, neither slowly nor with pace, it is not going to crash. The reason why I think like this is the fact that people have seen what happened with FTX and they reacted to it already and it's done, there is no more reaction to give. The drops happen during the news cycle period and after that there is no reason to keep on selling as a whole community.

We were at around 21k for a while, short period like maybe few hours and then we crashed under 17k and that’s it, that was the reaction. There is no reason for it to be like 14k or lower or something like that because we already showed all that we wanted to show as a reaction.

It seems that the people who are stuck on these two coins are just people who want to get many times the money in a fast way. It is undeniable that it is a good choice at the beginning but not at the end. Regret will always come too late, make it an experience in investing in crypto and don't let it happen again. The right investment is only in Bitcoin, I myself managed to save a hundred thousand satoshi every week, the amount is not big but if we get used to it it will be easy.

I wish the price were somewhat higher, but I don't feel particularly sad about the current price either. It doesn't shake my confidence in Bitcoin, and I hope I'll be able to hodl through the market, at least some of what I have. Of course, when the price is low for a many months, it leads to some fatigue, but I don't think it will be easy to repeat the concerns of the bear market of 2018-2019 because when Bitcoin finally recovered from that, it demonstrated that very impressible comebacks are still possible. The cause of the drop is unfortunate, though, as it's unclear how much the FTX victims will actually be reimbursed and when.

I think a real Bitcoin enthusiast wouldn't ever want to buy shitcoins since it's centralized and they wouldn't leave their coins on centralized exchanges since no one should trust third party. I think with LUNA and FTX case, everyone should realized there's no shortcut to make money and you're shouldn't be greedy to save few dollar just to avoid miner fees to send into your non custodial wallet.

Although I don't have much money to buy Bitcoin, but I still hold most of my money in Bitcoin until now.

Fair price? there's no such fair price or fake price in Bitcoin since no one can control or manipulate it!
I assume this fair price means that they can afford to invest. But I do agree there is no such thing such as "stable" price in Bitcoin because it's so easy to manipulate it and everyday we may see significant price different than before.
Even though it's a fair price for them, people still don't take action by buying bitcoin at a low price and still waiting for another low price. This makes many of them late to buy and only start buying when the price increases. If we can control the purchases we make, we can use the moment of the downturn to buy bitcoin and it looks like we'll see it for a while.

there are many people cheering at the current price, and preparing to fill their wallets, because this is already a fairly low price, but for holders who have bitcoins above the current price they have to be extra patient waiting for btc to go up again or get a small profit at their last price buy

Sure, it is an opportunity to capitalize and add more Bitcoin and other coins to our portfolio, but consider how this situation may affect Bitcoin adoption; many people are beginning to think differently about Bitcoin, particularly those who accepted Bitcoin late in the hopes of profiting quickly. The crypto market is currently unfavorable to most people, which is why many people believe Bitcoin is nearing its end. We had hoped that the market would return to normalcy at the beginning of this year, but now that we are nearing the end of the year, Bitcoin price is declining.
The situation when people were disappointed in bitcoin happened many times, it would be time to get used to it. But you are right, when bitcoin starts to fall and this continues for several years, then people starts talk, that the price will never rise again and so on. But each time it happens at a higher price, each time the bottom gets higher, and this is a sign that bitcoin will continue to rise in the long term, you need to learn to see the whole picture.

I will be happy if btc goes back to 2016! golden days, I would not make the same mistake again (it will never happen)  Grin. Now is the right time to take the advantage of the discount price.

With all the fallout from what had happened in the past week and recent news surfacing with all the fraud and buyouts of government officials whom still reside at their positions, I am quite surprised how it held up to all the selling pressure on the markets.
It got me really thinking on why things like this affected it's price in the first place.
These are exchanges of cryptocurrency and shouldn't be dependent on if they exist or not.

Making use of the circumstance is Not bad, investing in bitcoin is not for the faint of heart. The best advice is to never sell, regardless of what happens. There is speculation that bitcoin will continue to decline, and the way things are going right now—with Luna crashing and other recent events—more is still to come, the game is still for the brave. This is just a re-occurrence is just another open window to accumulate as you can it will be a Big Bang in the future.

If you are faint hearted person then came into bitcoin without bringing up some good knowledge then for sure you lose your money here because volatility is fast and all movements is unpredictable. But if you try to get more knowledge and always base your trade on charts or anything which you can correlate on events you might have good weapon to earn here. People need to consider always learn new things everyday on trading because there are so many changes on bitcoin in daily basis.

Those who don't know the importance of bear would keep panicking of the price dip while those who really wants the bear market to show up will always sees it as a golden opportunity to correct their mistake to fill their bags back since they already missed the previous move of bitcoin and I know they are preparing for the next bull race to come. Most at times we felt BTC will hardly hit to a new ATH when it was less $10k but today we all surprised to see a stumbling ATH of +$68k which this has given us more hope to even witness another to come keeping all eyes at $100k.
Always utilized all Golden opportunity given as you may not have it again.

I hope it goes down even more, how happy I am every time I will be able to get some btc at a fair price.

buying bitcoin at this price is like getting a big discount. when else can we buy bitcoin at a low price like today before the bulls arrive in the coming year.
I support you as you continue to buy bitcoins cheaply for now and keep them as long-term investment assets. You'll be one of the few people who can say you won't miss the party when bitcoin starts to get bullish in the next few years.

I am also one of those people who always buy bitcoins and collect them as an asset in the future and wait for bitcoins to reach $100k (maybe)

First, the first letter of all names pertaining to God must always be in a capital letter.

Now to what you said, what's happening now is either a good thing or a bad thing for every investor. Most investor might take this as an opportunity for them to buy because Bitcoin's price went back to where it was last 2018. On the other hand, people who bought Bitcoin at a higher price or worst its peak, will be having a hard time because they will be having an impermanent loss. Well of course if that investor isn't panicking and rather choose to invest more then it isn't a bad thing for him/her.

If you have spare money to use, then better buy Bitcoin first. If you are deciding whether you want to buy things online or buy Bitcoin, maybe this is the time to skip buying the things you only want for some reasons and buy Bitcoin instead. Smiley

Bitcoin is still strong enough, I wonder if when/who can bring EOS back to 2018 ?
Forget that coin already. No updates, no developments. I'm a big fan of EOS back in 2017-2018 because of how good they are but throughout the years, they've been forgotten by investors because of lack of developments. There are many other coins out there that are way better than EOS.

Not gonna happen man, and if this happens probably this is the end of crypto market it will take time to recover if price crash at $1 thats too low at this point where huge companies and countries are eying for bitcoin as a legal currency, for now the lowest possible price I can predict is $10k just like last March 2020 crash where bitcoin price fall at $3k.

The fair price is whatever the people as an aggregate have decided that something is worth, so technically a price of 69k was just as fair back then as 16k is at the moment, it is our job as investors to decide when to enter the market, and without a doubt this is a very good opportunity to do so as the price is very low and there are decent chances the price will at least remain this low for some months, so we must do what we can to take advantage of this opportunity.
now is the right time to buy bitcoin, where the price of 16K has occurred at the current time. if most people think the same, then i think we will see bitcoin bullish again. unfortunately many people have their own views, and maybe there are still many people waiting for the price to drop again and then buy it. I think if for long term investment of course we will be able to maximize profit

Economic crisis or bitcoin plunge is really an opportunity or a risk, depending on each person's point of view. For me, this is really an opportunity as I missed it in 2018 this time I expect bitcoin to stay below 10-15k for as long as possible. When others are afraid is when we should be greedy, wealth is not for the masses.

The opportunity that people would refuse to take.  Grin I remember some months ago when the market sentiments were neutral after the Luna fiasco, so many people were calling for bitcoin to come back below $20k but I'm disappointed that they are even more afraid that it will take a long time before people would have trust in Bitcoin again after FTX false altruism. I just made the conclusion that some people will always remain poor even when they are been shown a path to success, they forgot that this is how the bear market used to be and only the smart ones usually know what it means.

I have bought and held some bitcoin at a high price and despite the drop, I'm still not shaken, I will buy the little I can afford and continue my DCA until we ride another bull run again, I might have missed making the previous journey with people but this time, I want it written boldly on the wall that I was also there and profited.

To say the truth, I am with those with the opinion to see Bitcoin price go up, not because I am greedy but for the sake of speculation of the market Bitcoin has hovered around a declining level for so long and if care is not taken those who want to take advantage of the weak hands will always want the price to stay down for a while so that they can fill their bags.

But if we can also be sincere, we should see this situation as the best entry point, since the price is low.

you don't need to hesitate with bitcoin, because bitcoin has proven
with crypto/bitcoin many people are helped, financially.
especially introverted people, who are less skilled at socializing, btc really helps their economy, even though they are only at home, but they have a decent income.

and don't worry if the state of bitcoin has decreased, because it's actually a good opportunity to invest.
Bitcoin might have no issue, just some policies to go but there are pros and cons to it which when investors violate, you might have yourself to blame. Its always that simple, buy low and sell high but still, its hard to sell because your always expected or adviced to hodl.

At the moment, bitcoin isn't a commodity for you to just spend when you won't or how you won't with your regular fiat. It is at the moment an investment with much of its currency aspect over shadowed by its currency aspect and so, treating it more like an asset of value is the right response at the moment.

Buying more remains a priority in the bears and as opportunistic as it is, it ain't very pretty for most.

Thank SBF. I hope he rots in prison for this.

You might be happy about it but many people are not.
Among those are people who bought bitcoin this year for the first time, bitcoin miners who are in trouble because of low prices, investors who were smart to buy 2 years ago in 2020 and thought that was a good entry point (which it was) but then some scammers decided that they'd destroy bitcoin price with their stupid shitcoins.

I'd be ok with prices from 2018 as long as it was 20 thousand. Now not so much.

I think that Bitcoin is in the process of having a dramatic correction, and possibly a very large one. When this takes place, it is likely to cause panic among newcomers. This is the perfect time for an informed investor, who knows how undervalued Bitcoin currently is, to jump in and purchase some BTC at rock bottom prices. When it comes to investing in cryptocurrency, timing is everything. The most successful investors are those who know when to enter the market and when to exit. If you want to buy some BTC before it reaches its peak value again, now would be a good time to do so.

If you were waiting for the perfect time to get into BTC, the time is now!
Now is the time, but try to be realistic that prices may still go lower so DCA will be good for you.
I'm not going to wait for $10K, that's way too low for bitcoin to reach $69K in the last year. To be honest, I don't know how many bitcoin I could buy with the $2K at the end of December, but for now $2K is equivalent to 0.12269 btc. Really, I really think this is a good opportunity.

Bitcoin is going to that special price right on time for Christmas. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is trying to get into Bitcoin. I guess that we won't be seeing this kind of price so soon. I do believe that it will not go as 10 to 12K and that is where I'm waiting to do some action and get some sale bitcoins.

If you were waiting for the perfect time to get into BTC, the time is now!
Unfortunately, there are too many people who do not know what they are doing, which is causing a little bit of a trouble and I doubt that it will get any easier in the long run neither. I personally believe that the best thing we could do right now would be just buy, but not that many people agree with that.

There are too many people who will end up with some sort of situation where people are really causing trouble, it is not going to be anything that is lower, but even if it is lower that’s not a problem because that only means you would be buying it even cheaper. Even if you bought it at 20, it didn't drop "that" much, considering how much it could go up, all looks fine to me.

I guess, this is the best opportunity many people have been waiting to see before they can buy Bitcoin with their little money and hold to be part of those that will share the good news in the future when the price  of Bitcoin hit $100k. Now that the price of Bitcoin has reduced to $16k in the crypto market, show that you will not miss this opportunity than to buy and hold for the bull time to come before you can experience what people are experiencing from bull market. Long term investors will be the one that will really enjoy this bull market that is planning to happen in the community soon, which many people will try their possible best to be part of the long term investors to achieve something reasonable from the bull market.

If you hope enough and if you think that God has something to do with it, then you will certainly get the opportunity to buy at a fair price, but only if you pray for it every day for at least 5 hours until your wish comes true Wink

It is unbelievable that someone wants an even lower price considering that the last ATH was even $69k, and today we have prices in the range of $15k - pure greed and nothing more than that.

You have to declare your happiness for the beer party, LOL

I believe you are not holding any portfolio at the moment and your only hope has been achieved that bitcoin has collapsed at the lowest price of the previous ATH period, but do not expect that bitcoin will return to its lows in the 2018 period and I predict it will never happen for price is under $10k, so be sure to use the DCA method to add assets at the current low and allocate some investment funds to buy at the lowest price.

does $1 for bitcoin make sense for now?
You may be too much, it's just wishful thinking that may not be achieved. But you have to believe that bitcoin is able to cross the highest price again later. Now is an excellent time to start buying bitcoin or any altcoin you want. Indeed, no one will be able to predict the direction of bitcoin 100%, but the predictions made only want to know where the direction of bitcoin will go, it will be a clue to know what to do later.

There are no guarantees, but believe me there is nothing better than when an investor does an analysis to find out where the bitcoins are going. Bitcoin is not just about the price, but about usability, adoption continues so that bitcoin becomes a needed digital asset.

We must be grateful for the current situation where bitcoin has returned to its lowest price again, providing an opportunity for us to buy more bitcoin at low prices. And now, the price has dropped again and has already broken through the $15k price. And it will provide another opportunity to buy bitcoin at another low price. But even so, we must also be careful in placing purchase orders because the price can change again. And according to CMC, the bitcoin price is currently at $ 15,900 and looks like it will continue to decline. Prepare yourself to buy bitcoin again.

I don't think everything is good after bitcoin shaved off a huge percent of its price. This just goes to show how volatile crypto still is even after existing for more than a decade. But on the positive note, this can greatly help a lot of people in buying bitcoin cheaply and have something for themselves as well. A good entry point to those looking to keep their bitcoins in the long run, I'd say, and there might not even be another opportunity like this in the future.

I think the latter should be case as what the OP said, the shave off was a big opportunity for those who are late in the game, maybe from 2020 to current.

And then seeing the price going down on a spiral move in the last week, hitting $15k as new lowest low, those who want to enter will be happy so see that price and now comparing it to the 2018 bear market, at least that early price before the end of 2018.

So I do agree, another chance and hopefully investors are going to take advantage of it and not become fearful of the price crash.

Maybe they are thinking that bitcoin could spiral move, and then declare it dead again. History shows us that bitcoin will always recover by this crash and then eventually goes on a massive bull run right after the halving.

But on the positive note, this can greatly help a lot of people in buying bitcoin cheaply and have something for themselves as well. A good entry point to those looking to keep their bitcoins in the long run, I'd say, and there might not even be another opportunity like this in the future.

seeing the current situation, whether I should be happy or sad. on the one hand I could have taken more btc for my portfolio, but on the other hand I had lost from the previous investment,
I don't know when the market will recover if manipulation is always present in every increase in the BTC price itself

usually the FOMO is triggered when the price approaches the ATH.
but in reality it is during these collapses that you have the best chance of buying cheap coin.
I would also add ... sell some shitcoins that you have accumulated "believing they were the new bitcoin" this is the best time to do some cleaning Wink

get rid of those crappy coins as they won't stand a chance of surviving. at least, if you exchange it with btc, you have good chance of recovering your money and more. this is indeed a great time to accumulate satoshis. for those who were regretting that they were too late, why not buy now? the price range of 16-17k is a very good one. the likelihood of increasing its price is just around the corner. one good news and this setback will disappear.

Just right in the middle, the top of 2018 is the lowest low of 2022.

But if the price goes down to like $10k, it could be 2018 all over again as we can buy cheap bitcoin along the line.

You can call it fair price of us, or simply it is really very cheap and so we shouldn't take it for granted. If we have some extra cash, then simply invest on BTC right now. There are no second best crypto, in my opinion.

Because bitcoin is not easy to predict and the events that have occurred are not necessarily related because the decline in bitcoin will occur due to some unknown factors.
and as we know the decline in bitcoin price is most likely caused by global sentiment that has not shown support and also recently the crypto exchange FTX declared itself out of business and also affected a large number of crypto assets and some other news made the bitcoin price drop drastically and there is a possibility will keep going down.
but this decline is an opportunity to accumulate bitcoin gradually during the downturn, and hold it for the long term.

With all the events that have been happening to other crypto's and centralized services one begins to understand that BTC's main advantage isn't even in its price or ability to rise after a plunge, but in its security and decentralization.

I know many people want to use BTC as a long term investment, but when you look at other crypto crashing, centralized services declaring bankruptcy, possibility of stable coins being frozen even in your own wallet, etc, all of these things that can't happen to BTC because of its secured and decentralized nature, you'll begin to appreciate the network far more than just its price, but how the network is built, its algorithm, hash rate, POW, security, decentralization, etc, with the price just being another part of its advantages, but not the main one!

Fair price? there's no such fair price or fake price in Bitcoin since no one can control or manipulate it!

Even though we know that the problem is the exchange platform and the token is not on bitcoin but people panic still they will sell it until it becomes a dump and this is always associated with bitcoin which they think may be dangerous even though bitcoin does nothing it's just a mighty coin without anyone being able to control it.

Still, where there is a big event and they panic it will affect the market, while those of us who hold bitcoin don't mind unless they hold FTT and SOL tokens which are vulnerabilities due to this problem so for me it's worrying whatever happens to the platform because there isn't any assets there, don't hold their tokens and other types the only thing they hold is bitcoin.

OP, if you expect prices to return to 2018, will you be mentally prepared?

Talking of taking opportunity..i wasn't following bitcoin in 2018 which you stated that you missed that opportunity to buy..

But I feel this is an opportunity to us newcomers to the crypto  world I have already taken this bold step and purchase my own btc and am keeping it for a long term investment and am hoping the bull market I have seen these last year's will eventually come again

if it is true that the price of Bitcoin returns to 2018, this is a great opportunity that investors should not miss to add Bitcoin investment assets.
because after all Bitcoin is a good crypto asset and worth keeping long term.
Even though the price of bitcoin has dropped dramatically, it is certain that in the future it will increase significantly, this can be seen from the limited total supply and increasing demand, making it easier for Bitcoin to return to the highest ATH price in the future.

Having bitcoin recede in countervalue to what it was like essentially like five years ago, doesn’t seem like great news to me. Setting aside that those willing to make purchases now will find it cheaper, which obviously has its upside, one needs to consider the chain of events that derive in that situation, which are quite a blow in the mind for many to come, not to mention all those that are trapped without being able to retrieve their funds. Yes, they could/should have practice self-custody and avoided a bunch of overhyped tokens, but from a global market perspective, it isn’t a situation I would personally find any comfort in, nor gloat about the misfortunes that lead to the current price.

Bitcoin will experience all possible scenarios here. Of course there are times that the price could massively go down, and it will increase fast too. Crypto is changing and some of the inevitable things to happen like Luna crash, ftx bankruptcy are part of evolving things that might be helpful as well in crypto if not now maybe on the following years to come.
I’m not sure that this can bring any benefit, this happens because very serious players have come to cryptocurrencies and the strong ones are removing the weak ones, this will continue to happen. Perhaps the benefit of this will be that in this way cryptocurrencies will be cleared of weak links that could spoil the reputation of cryptocurrencies in the future.

I'm in between right now, wanting to see it go up and recovery so fast so that my portfolio would be back to its former value. But at the same time, also wants to see it this low for more accumulation whenever I buy.
I guess it all comes to the point that we have to know what we're up to and the long term plans that we're setting before the next bull run arrives, just like now, it is for everyone who wants to buy it at a cheaper price.
