It would be useful if you could edit your opening post with the initial question or issue.

It would be useful if you could edit your opening post with the initial question or issue. Previous users posted a solution to a problem and we dont know which problem it is. Could be helpful if someone else comes across your thread who experiences the same problems.

If you want to switch to a wallet that uses a seed. You can go with Electrum (can't run a full node though).

Can't he generate a new wallet in Electrum, save the mnemonic phrase, obtain the master private key from the wallet file and import it into Bitcoin Core? I am not sure if Bitcoin Core allows only to import individual keys. Edit: It doesn't. Importing a few address would do the trick but might not be worth it.

Bitcoin core doesn't use seed phrases. Go to the following directory (If you're using Windows):

Code:
%appdata%\Bitcoin\wallets

And save the wallet.dat file.

If you want to switch to a wallet that uses a seed. You can go with Electrum (can't run a full node though).
