There was this Dogecoin challenge: "From $25 to $10000"
Interesting but to high the inflation and to high the marketcap.

Bitgesell ($BGL) is another bitcoin-"clone" which seems quite interesting on the other hand.
Almost same specifications. But you have the halvening every year and a Tx-burn of 90%.
Further details you can read here:
https://www.newsbtc.com/others/bitgesell-project-aims-to-bring-bitcoins-future-to-the-present/

My challenge now:
The coin costs around 0.024cent.
 buy 100BGL  for $2
Who know

You know its not impossible in this space!

Now I see that the price has dropped to 0.019, maybe you are right and buying for a couple of dollars is not so scary, I will use your advice. I hope the exchange is reliable.

$3 become $10,000 is possible if the coin you buy is really low and after few years become very high. For the investors who invested to the altcoins in the past few years and hold until now they get a lot of profit from small capital to big. Your coin you mentioned is not my type and for now from cheapest altcoins the potential for me is Ripple but Im not sure to that capital it will turn into 10k dollars.

Sometime being critical is important when you have to deal with money. You can't just being over optimistic and put some money hoping it can give you 100x or 1000x profit just by taking doge as an example. No, just read about how many bitcoin clone that falls 3 years later.
It's ok to have believe on any coin, but don't forget to learn about the trends. Good luck

That is the issue, it is easy to say that you are going to fix whatever flaws you think bitcoin has, but to actually do it is a completely different thing, if the bitcoin core developers have taken a lot of time in order to bring forth solutions to some of the problems of the bitcoin network then what can we expect out of a bunch of people that no one knows? We should not expect them to solve anything, and if that is the case then whatever attempt they make at upgrading bitcoin is bound to fail and being that the case their coin will fail miserably as well.

Yeah, you can see alt networks just randomly adopting things and pushing updates like nobody's business. But in Bitcoin the core devs take so long to push something out, and then not everyone agrees on how it should be done. But that's what I like to see, because problems need robust solutions and you don't just push these out in a single day or even week. I'd really rather wait for years even to see something big and significant come out. Hence btc forks will never seem secure to me.

The challenge here is that you refuse to accept it as a shitcoin and have a murky future. In this space there is too much garbage from shoddy projects and generated and waiting to go scams. Trust me this project will never work out in the future with such an idea.

Another woke up account that shills scam altcoin. Bravo!

Why dont you come up with something new? Creating a topic with "I will do X with altcoin Y because it will grow" does not work anymore.

You know how easily such shill be spotted? People use hashtag in topics. Who uses hashtags on bitcointalk? Only shillers, because by a hashtag, reward algorithm recognizes them. Also the account - was silent for years and woke up to create a topic? Topic - another sign of shill. Most of them are made in a rush and are low quality. You want to go from $3 to $10000 and bought scam altcoin for $2? Mistake Smiley

I don't like projects like this because I find it to be a waste of everyone's time, when the newly created product doesn't have much value or potential for the future. I don't think this project will have a good future if it only relies on the basics or information of bitcoin to grow.

It would be interesting if someone had bought in to every crypto/token at or near launch (say $10) worth, then sold 10% each year for ten years what their overall profit or loss was??

e.g. the 20,000 bitcoin Pizza - if 2,000 bitcoins were sold each year and at the moment that would come in at a cool $100M.  (Not every coin/token makes it to ten years mind you - there'd be a lot of abandoned coins along the way).

Wow I actually have to say I remember seeing that name Bitgisell or however you spell it. Bitcoin clones I didn't expect to see trying to make a comeback.

You know it's pointless when all the Bitcoin forks tried to pretend they were trying to fix Bitcoin's "flaws" but nobody really cared about actual development right?

Buying cheap altcoins is a good strategy to play long, especially if you see such potential.
Yes, its been the bread and butter, specially a altcoin that is really has the potential. But as the OP describe it, just another bitcoin clone so what is up with that?

$2 is quiet too low honestly the fees are more expensive if you do that. I'm into any challenges because I only buy established project and its hard for me to trust new project. I would like to follow this thread if someone will share their own successful stories about these challenges.
Hopefully OP and others are going to update us, or if someone is willing to accept this challenge. And what others have said, it is pointless to follow this so called bitcoin fork coins, although they could have improved something, investors are not going to try them because they are not the original.

They have a signature campaign right now glad they did, their telegram channel is increasing with real people  from 120 to over 500 now and I'm sure many more are coming because they have an extension of their campaign, not to mention many medias and traders are supporting their cause, it's better to get in now, the price is very low, this is not a risky investment a $100 purchase will give you good profit in a year or two, if the community grows.

Bitcoin clone?

As far as I know, we haven't seen any successful bitcoin clone or bitcoin fork so far. Some of them have been hype early, unfortunately, it was sustainable. The thing is, it might back fired on them if they used the "bitcoin clone" marketing strategy.

And with that, I'm so sorry but I'm not going to join the bandwagon, too risky. Yes, it's cheap, but traders and investors would rather put their money on some successful alt coins or at least new projects that has the potential, not this kind of rehearse project.
In a way a great deal of the altcoins are bitcoin clones since many of them just change a few things about the code of bitcoin that are not significant and call themselves a new coin, but for a coin that openly calls itself to be a bitcoin clone there is not a lot of future, I wish luck to the OP because he is going to need it, I think he is going to be lucky if he just recovers his money an if he obtains any profit then even better for him but to obtain 3333x seems like an impossible dream to me.

I checked, which came out over 1 year ago, the highest ATH value was $ 0.07.  Lol, Personally, I like personality, be independent or have my own characteristics.  I don't like to copy or breed like BSC or BGL itself.  What are they trying to prove ??  Anyway that is your chance.

I haven't heard anything about of this coins before why are you shilling it, OP?
Good luck with that if you could achieve your goal in this challenge but remember that you should know the risk before investing and you should do your own research about it.

Anyway, take some time to read what the others have been saying or do not repeat what the mistakes of the others have done. This might actually save you from the burden of losing a lot of money in the future. Please rethink your choices.

Good luck with that purchase.

There really are people that look forward for that strategy of buying a cheap altcoin and waits for its time to boom. And if that happens, then you'll be proud of yourself that you have made it.

But when the time you realizes that it's not moving at all, you just lost a small amount.

I already trapped like this kind of BTC Clone investment before, its Bitcoin Private, lost many on that project.
After that I dont believe any Bitcoin-clone project anymore, its better to Invest on another coin which have good aim and roadmap like EOS, DOT, or STX.
