The excellent podcast Serial dedicates a whole season to this subject.

tl;dr: he is not directly responsible, and he is being made a scapegoat.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I was starting to believe that i was the only one left with interests for such fundamental question about the conduct of the empire forces!

Yes bergdahl among the 100´s of thousand who toured afg is an outlier. Happilly and incident. But still worthy to understand what made is wind snap. First he wasn't drafted...

The goal being of course to be able to prevent such moves for the safety of all involded.

Thanks for the recommendation about the podcast:).

If you read this article from time (i guess a leftist - globalist - neo marxist mouth piece) http://time.com/2809352/bowe-bergdahl-deserter-army-taliban/

According to it bergdahl is responsible for their deaths, at least it is how i understand it.

Far from me from denying the tragic and dramatic loss of lives! However i don't believe it's his fault! It's the insurgents fault! Those terrorists killed them with their ieds and co! Bergdhal yes completly loss his way! Betrayed his friends and the united states! However he didn't ever killed a single us soldier!

I take the example that if tomorrow a us soldier went missing in germany, the local cops or us soldier look for him/her, and are attacked in german no go zone, would it be the fault of the missing soldier?

What ever the reason, why bergdhal went missing, and even if he had betrayed which can't be known at the time of the dissaperance, it's natural to look for him/her!

And to be honnest, if us forces are engaged in a war somewhere, the guilty part in their eventual harm is the ennemies! And frankly those deaths could have happen what ever the objectives of the day (looking for bergdhal or attempting to secure the country)

I would be very pleased for someone to contradict me, and explain me where i am wrong?

I hope that all who engaged in warfare against us forces got their mud hut dusted, that all their support groups have perished, and that all that attempted teir funerals get a taste of multitapping until this all davages realize that violence against the empire will be met with so much determination to push them to extinction that otherd around the world will be able to reflect and understand that it's cheaper easier and way more efficient to engage and oppose verbally the empire!

Or they bring arguments, ideas or solution to which move of the empire they oppose but realize that vioent opposition could be met even thourgh their entire extermination...

And little question? All those that have been exchanged are dead by now? There is no way back for them, and i am almost 100% sure that they aren't ecen interested... ultimately they arw just munition suffling and training practice... and contrary to practice targets, are free !

What ever their ideolgy against the financial war mindset their armed struggle will always fail...and anyway their breeding is unsustainable. And here is my last point american lived are valuable. Those, just breed to die...

And btw if they weren't violent, the empire wouldn't have to engage. They made their deaths, in a sense they want it...
