Hi, I am new here.
Few months back, i previously ignored anyone who would advise me to get involved in cryptocurrency or any online related programs. I am a graduate of accounting and I have never had  any interest in online jobs, I preferred doing physical and tangible offline jobs. But then, I noticed that my salary is nothing compared to what my boyfriend who is a freelancer earns. Apart from the fact that he earns alot from working and investing online, his job isn't time consuming and stressful like mine.

I began to have a keen interest in online stuffs and I have told him to teach me about cryptocurrency and some digital skills so I can be carried along in the online world too. We actually did have a class where he taught me a lot about cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoins and altcoins. I have learnt that there are 21 million fixed supply of Bitcoin, he told me that bitcoin is the only true decentralized coin. He went further to tell me that in few days time there will be halving which happens every 4 years. He taught me many things about bitcoin and this forum. I will have to list out some keywords and learn them gradually. Here are some random keywords I got to know.
1. Decentralized Exchange (DEX)
2. Centralized Exchange (CEX)
3. Double spending
4. Cryptography
5. Blockchain
6. Fiat
7. Centralization
8. Decentralization
9. Hot wallet storage
10. Cold wallet
11. Open and close source protocol
12. Be Your Own Bank (BYOB)
13. Talkimg(for uploading images in the forum)
14. Miners and their reward
15. How to own bitcoin
16. How to save bitcoin
17. Seed phrase
18. Altcoins (meme coins, shicoins etc)
19. Mining (solo and mining pool)
20. Bitcoin whitepaper.
He introduced me to the Bitcointalk forum so I can learn more about Bitcoin. I understand that this is a male dominated forum just like hundred others online, I hope I am accepted here considering the fact that I am a woman as other forum I belong often discriminate the female gender.

He said this is my new world, that I am not late to this. He said I shouldn't bother him much with questions, that he has given me the required push. He's definitely going to be watching my account to know how fast I'm learning and growing. I believe this will worth it.

Yes I think it is right to say that Bitcoin is the only true coin among all coins and it seems to have a more good foundation compared with other coins and it has been doing very well since it came out and even if the price fall it will still rise,  yeah I love Bitcoin and I also believe am going to learn a lot from this forum if am committed.

What are the advise you to do now is to make a proper research of the journey of Bitcoin because I know that a bitcoin is a continuous process in which everybody who is here today started from low and get where it's today base on research, I know quite well that the community here teach more of Bitcoin so make your research very well before you post and they cross check to know the advantages and the disadvantages of your post because many people have for research more of bitcoins and its technology

Welcome to the forum. The best gift a friend can give their friend who wants to learn about crypto is to introduce them to this forum. Your friend has introduced you to this friend, what you can do for yourself is to be open to learning about crypto, go through all sub-boards, and ask questions or make a useful contribution in whatever topics you pick an interest in. Don't ever feel less of yourself about your rank or sex(female) because that doesn't define you since you are interested in learning and growing in the knowledge of crypto, other things that come after(merits) will serve as a bonus to your positive contribution to the forum

Does gender even count here, no, i don't think so, all that matters most is in learning and how you will be able to give and render a continuous quality post to the community, you can choose to call yourself whatever name or gender
The forum does not require KYC and does not ask a guest to type gender when creating an account.

After creating an account, a user can customize a profile's settings and choose gender but on Internet, information like this is untrue. People can choose Male for an account gender when they are Female.

Gender can affect that user because of his or her real life and jobs and house chores that will give them different available time to use the forum.

You might be slightly mistaken that it is not only male dominated here because there are many girls too. I think we have this forum where everyone can join regardless of gender there is no barrier but they have to work here according to their own knowledge or skills.

Does gender even count here, no, i don't think so, all that matters most is in learning and how you will be able to give and render a continuous quality post to the community, you can choose to call yourself whatever name or gender, which the forum see as your own personal decision on what you like, we are most concerned with the level of what we give and how others are being impacted at the cause, both male and female exist here and know that the males have higher population than the females which doesn't mean or count for anything.

You are basically created in this forum for money income, dedicate yourself first in this forum and spread your knowledge and gather knowledge targeting cinema brothers. Maybe you can do iftar but you have to have more influence in investing, if you want to earn money from the start then definitely you can build relationship with bitcoin. Because the more holders who hold on to Bitcoin, the more money they are helped to earn alone.

Many people were introduced to this forum every blessing day, but lack of patience sent them back to where they came from. I hope you are not one of those people's. We all know that at the beginning of the journey of whatever a person comes to achieve in this life, it normally does not come easy, not only in this forum, but if you really want to achieve what brought you here, this is the right time for you to learn about different types of things about this forum. And again, you have to endure, don't rush and do insist on asking questions about what you don't understand, the high-ranking members are there to give you answers. And they're rules and regulations given by the moderator of this wonderful forum. It is very important for you to know them to avoid you get any issues in this forum.

No, you're wrong. There are girls here too. In fact, there is no obligation to talk about yourself, and the less you reveal yourself, the freer you will feel. But none of this matters. Question: Why do we need to know what you learned from the guy? How should we respond? Yes, we welcome new people. What's needed next? Read and learn even more. Ask if it’s not clear. The main thing is not to burden people with lessons that you yourself are not yet ready to teach.

Good luck.

If you want to post an image you will need to rank up to Jr. Member+ or buy a copper membership rank.

I don't think we need this image Smiley

Revealing ourselves is actually just expressing our thoughts, not everything has to be told to other people, if one day the other person has moved away from us then it will be a shame, and if we are talked about by that person, our weaknesses will become increasingly known to other people. We all have problems, so not all problems need to be known by many people. and it's not important to explain it either. Keep doing positive things and exercise. If our subconscious mind really is getting complicated, maybe that's for the best

This forum does not care about gender, all are treated equally.  So you don't have to worry about discrimination.  What matters here is your contribution to the forum.  The more you contribute to the betterment of the forum, the more people/members will respect you.

I also suggest that you visit the given link in the earlier replies, it will help you a lot in your stay here in the forum.  You should also check the pinned message if you ever visit any of the forum board since it contains the important details and rulings of the said board/sub board.

Hi, I am new here.
Welcome to the forum.
The first thing is there is no discrimination based on gender in this forum a lot of other females also work here. You are new here maybe you are afraid of this man-dominant society but there is no dominance on gender based but on your work and your rank. There are many other things about Bitcoin that you can learn with time. A person can not be a professor in a single day so don't worry you can understand things slowly and if any problems arise then after your boyfriend the other members are here you can freely ask and they will guide you.

Welcome to the forum.

The forum careless about your sex and treats everyone as equals. So feel free to ask questions, contribute and share your thoughts on ongoing discussions, as long as you do not spam or plagiarize, you're good. BTW, here's link to the Unofficial list of (official) bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines & FAQs. Make sure to digest every bit of information therein, it'll help keep you out of trouble.
The need to read the rules is way too important and that's why as a new comer reading the official rules it's important. So many people or newbie that find their way to the forum here have failed to understand the ethics of reading and following up with the laws of a place before jumping and taking drastic and wrong choices.

and many beginner accounts are able to discuss better than those who have been around for a long time and are seniors in this forum. But maybe there are only a few beginners and they are able to develop their account quite well and it is easy to level up. Now don't just look at whether he is a beginner or not, but what he discusses and explains is something important or not. but there are also many beginners who only use Ai to create threads and such.

The basic knowledge taught by your girlfriend is very helpful in your development in learning about Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. Don't be embarrassed or feel inferior about your gender, here no one cares whether you are male or female, everyone who joins here will be treated the same without any discrimination.
Enjoy your time while you are here by learning something that can benefit you, always consistently visit the forum and read threads that have been pinned on various boards to increase your knowledge about Cryptocurrency.

Your boyfriend words and actions have encouraged you to be independent, he is trying to get you to look for more information on your own instead of constantly asking him. This method can speed up increasing your knowledge, every minute you spend in the forum is a learning process that can help your development in reaching the end of the journey.

Welcome to the forum. From the image in the OP, it looks like you’re getting a lot of education at home. You have learnt a lot about Bitcoin and the forum as well. Read the sticky threads and make use of all the information available in the Beginners and help board. Your gender is not a limitation, you’re one of many females on the forum. It’s nice to see a prospective contestant for next year’s Miss Bitcointalk.

Welcome to the forum OP

Your boyfriend has done well by introducing you to the forum where you would be gaining lots of ideas that would change your life in the nearest future. Just have an open mind towards the forum and the things you are going to learn here, no one is going to intimidate you base on your gender because we don't really care if you are male or female. For now, you should frequent the beginners & help board and meta board more because these two boards have what you need to know as a newbie and about the forum too. I just hope your boyfriend didn't fail to tell you that plagiarism is a very big offence in the forum, avoiding spamming too. You'll go far only if you keep to the forum rules.
