Why is it that newbies can only read existing posts? I'd like to create some content and make a post but can't because I am still in "newbie" status. Thanks for the help!

Roll Eyes Huh Your post is another reason that newbies are regarded as thus. Every stage in life has a process likewise this forum and the understanding of newbies. You are believed not to know much and that is why your post might not generate enough interest most likely but I'm not generalizing because some newbies are expanded with knowledge already.

Newbies cannot create new posts because most of them come here and make spam or ask stupid questions wich answers they can already find on the forum.
Regarding to OP, the articles and videos are really helpful and i am happy to see that now newbies have enough materials to learn anything about bitcoin because in the past there were only a few articles existing and it was harder to find the informations you need.

This can be a great help for newbies and give them enough knowledge about bitcoin because most of them still feel confused sometimes. When I first encounter bitcoin I am too shy too ask but still thankful because I have watched some videos on the Youtube about it but reading is also a great idea well for me this is not only for newbies this can also help us if we feel interested about the background of bitcoin.

you're literally making a new post here. you can also start a thread directly except on serious discussion.

I agree with Andreas videos. This is the video I always recommend with my friends if If they interested to learn about bitcoin. I don't know maybe there are still lots of good videos out there, but Andreas is the best from beginners to advance bitcoiners. Of course the number source out there, this community,  others are just imitations, you can't go wrong with this community.

his book is also great to read. i've spend a lot of time reading about his book to increase my knowledge about blockchain and bitcoin in general.

I'd like to create some content and make a post but can't because I am still in "newbie" status.

Newbies are only restricted on Serious discussion board and it's child board > Ivory tower. On all other boards, newbies can start threads as well as comment.
If you have a content you'd like to publish on the forum, go ahead and do it. Just ensure you use the search option, to check if that topic has been previously discussed.

All of those are great resources but I'd also simply say that this message board can be a great tool. I know that when I was starting out myself, I would read up a bunch of threads to soak up information. I've even gotten a lot of questions answered by making quick searches.

I do know that with the Newbie section gone and whatnot, it might be a bit overwhelming for new members, though.
