an online game account that i've taken care of for more than 2 years. I sold it pretty expensively and when converted to btc it was like .25 when btc was a bit below 1k. it was very well worth it though as i'm already past the gaming stage in my life Cheesy

I sold my hero member account for 1 btc before 2 years but the fact is at that time the price of bitcoins was too low so I couldn't enjoy that profits as it was spent very quickly on my basic stuffs.

Wow, today this would be very big sum and you would earned a lot. Still, it's a big amount for the account
But nowdays I think that account prices have fallen significantly and there is no use of selling account. There are also people who are farming accounts, what I find unfair and dishonest.

As long as you used that money for some useful things then no need to worry about it. Becuase no one can give any assurance that how the BTC price will go in future. That's we need to make a habit of saving bitcoins in small quantities every month for the long-term point of view. In that case, if BTC prices go up then we will have a lot of profit to enjoy.

I used to sell stuff to Cex, which is a UK second hand games and things chain.

Most of the selling was done when BTC was in the endless $250 range so that pile of shitty old PS2 games and manky phones provided a very handsome return. I think I raised about 1 BTC or so by getting rid of stuff I barely remembered owning anyway.

They dropped BTC a while back which is their loss as I'd be splurging now.

My experience is pretty complex.  Grin Actually in my country bitcoins are well known but locally (in my town) rigs are empty. So few people whom I met online who were interested in buying stuff from me. I sold and selling printed tees. Due to low budget I have not made any website and sell it straight from my home. I usually sell in bulk so that it will be easy to cover the charges. The biggest order I made in bitcoin was 0.48 bitcoins.

BUT, coming to my first statement due drained rigs, those people paid me in chunks of bitcoins, it was very slow and long process.  Huh But anyway I enjoyed receiving money over the time, it felt like I'm getting paid daily.  Cheesy

I remembered those days when Im still struggling to get a single bitcoin.

Back when bitcoin price is still on below $300, I able to sold things to one of my colleagues which is also a bitcoin enthusiast (I think he is couple of years ahead of me here in bitcoin world). The sold item was my Cannondale which has a mix group set of Diore and Shimano. I really need money that time so I sold it for Php12,000 or around BTC0.7 or BTC0.8 that time (Forget the exact price). No holding and convert it immediately to fiat.

I can't called it as a profit though since I spend around Php16,000 to build that. Just want to share that Im able to sold stuffs with bitcoin as payment.

Many users are selling different digital and other goods for Bitcoins as their way to make some coins but also to get rid of stuff they don't want or don't need.
I wonder what was the most expensive thing you have sold for Bitcoins and how was your experience? Is there some kind of goods that people especialy like buying for Bitcoins? I mean the legal stuff not drugs, weapons or something similar.
I didnt experience to sell something on this forum or either online world in fact i do always purchase goods on them instead.I dont sell because theres nothing to sell off. Grin But for some they do have good business here just selling online goods which somehow give a decent income if you are really serious on it specially for those people who do buy and sell.

I have never made a big profit selling stuffs. We used to exchange things within friends in exchange for bitcoin. These days digital stuffs were the one that's much preferred by users. Profiting is much through gambling based on luck and the holding of the coins. In my opinion selling stuffs is not that easy because gaining a trust rate to make better business takes time.
