Powerful person by their assets and money but i think its not excuse to play the market because of their posting on social media. But of course its up to traders if they bet what they have, and listen to this billioners people to what they posting on social media.
These social media influencers are so popular that a small hashtag like #dogecoin might pump the market beyond logic. I mean the market is massive but still these big guys can play however they want just because of their brand value.

It would be interesting to know the opinion of "real" f ans of cryptocurrencies who want its total recognition - what they will say when, because of one hashtag about Doge, the SEC suddenly comes and starts saying that" you are pushing the hashtag on the market! thats the market manipulation!». Same as with ordinary shares.

It's very funny that Dorsey's asshole loves BTC so much, even though he really likes to control everything around him. Twitter turned into a garbage dump thanks to his "right" decisions and now they have also build a real system of denunciations. Dorsey has built his own Cyber-GULAG and says he loves things that can't be controlled. A bit ironic, isn't it?
Haha good to see people hate him as much as I do and yeah its a bit ironic but more such guys into Bitcoins means more respect and recognition for Bitcoins so I don't mind a few assholes investing into Bitcoins despite hating them because of their power and position and their ability to influence the market.

I think Dorsey is a hypocrite simply because he does things that are completely mutually exclusive at the same time. Build a system of total control and extensive functionality for denunciations and at the same time maintain the free circulation of money and anonymity.

With this recent surge of bitcoin, I'm wondering how much it has increase its net worth, I don't know if it's for long term to support the market or just trying to use his influence to take instant profit. Bitcoin will soon pump to $50k that's only because of the news that Tesla has invested 1.5 billion usd and planning to accept bitcoin in the future.

We can see that as time passes by, many people are starting to get along into the flow of engaging into Bitcoin with regards to usage and purchase of it. As we can see, not just ordinary people states their interest about it but as well as big institutions as well as big names of billionaires around the world have already speak up their stand towards Bitcoin and admits that they were owning or planning to own Bitcoins for their own good sake which is good because as those kind of people get along, people realizes the importance of having Bitcoin for they gain their interest and trust to Bitcoin based on what they see how big names of rich people do trust upon engaging into it. We can expect for more personalities to be added within the list and surely this can make a big movement within the market.
Exactly, I guess the reason might be they already know that bitcoin was on mainstream and it is. So, big investors catch their interest to invest in bitcoin since they had a lot of money that they can afford to this stuff. The big names of industries that we have known were now on crypto, to have proof, we have here our forum to be transferal conversion.

I guess not only them, but there are also I guess billionaires who don't want to reveal themselves. We know how influential they are and even dogecoin is a part of them pre, look at now good for the eyes now.

Rich and well-known individuals, as well as large companies, including Tesla, as owners of a certain number of bitcoins, this is certainly good news for the popularity of investments in bitcoin for potential investors, but still the position of state regulators on this issue will play a much greater role. However, the presence of such players can play an important role in lobbying for the promotion of bitcoin in the economy and in traditional markets.

There are huge names investing in this industry. Reason? It could be because they do trust in this market, or they benefit from its advantages. But above all these, they are aiming to make their money bigger ofcourse. But these people are not only investing to cryptos for sure. They are also having real estate investments and businesses. It is more of maximizing opportunities to make profit from investment. Their difference to most of the investors in this industry is that, they won't hurt that much whenever the price is falling down, unlike to many small time investors who are relying to the profit from this investment.
Having these people in the ride, and influential figures at that matter mind you, really drives people's spirits up, not only those that are already on the cryptocurrency train, but most especially those who are still yet to decide whether to invest in crypto or not. As years go by we'll encounter more people like these on the list along the way.
More likely to happen, especially now that the popularity of crypto investment is now getting larger. Domino effect in a sense that one huge name will engage, then the others would follow.

Elon Musk - Networth: 200 billion dollar

Elon Mask is famous billionaire who jokingly introduced himself as the CEO of Dogecoin, recently. He has invested in many fields. However, he does not have much bitcoin wealth. Recently, He has recently expanded his crypto currency activities on social media including twitter. He said that he has only 0.25 bitcoin

Mark Cuban - Networth: 4.3 billion dollar

This is interesting to say Mark Cuban the great investor, financial Analyst and owner of Dallas Mavericks basketball team who didn't like bitcoin before, is now a bitcoin investor. Cuban is someone who were saying he prefers to hold bananas instead of bitcoins(!). Recently, he said he owns 120 usd worth on bitcoin.

I don't believe that these 2 only Holds that 120 USD and 0.25 Bitcoin in their Possession because the Richer they are is the riskier their investments is.

though they don't wan't to be involved in issues that connected to Bitcoin and other altcoins so they maybe silencing themselves for the said issues.

Also for sure 10% or more of their assets are in crypto if not literally in Bitcoin.

Somehow I've never heard of the coinbase guy before despite his apparent great success in keeping ownership in this growth sector, lucky him.    I wont complain as they did manage to keep my balance safe enough for years when I forgot about it.

Elon Musk Im not surprised about, if he can use then Im interested otherwise its just a meme I dont know why people would take anything bullish from him without actual action.  Turns out Im richer then him in the final form of Dollar and BTC but his stock I presume will yield him returns on whatever currency, thats all he has to care about and be correct on and I dont his knowledge overlaps into crypto especially.

... But anyway, why is he promoting Dogecoin if he doesn’t own a share in it, or is he just kidding? Maybe he owns a lot more and just doesn’t want to be open about it and keep it a secret...
I think you missed to read this part.

I myself too doesn't believe what Musk posted on social media is real, maybe he even invested more to it we just didn't know it yet. And I can't believe what kind of power Musk bring to the Bitcoin community but he's sure a mover of the market once there's something linked to him.

The way these billionaires own it is just simply amazing but we haven't seen more investors here and I think early adopters is qualified for that position but we just didn't know their names though. And those whales that could drove the market instantly.

I wonder if all his BCHSV and BCH and BTC holdings combined are enough for him to be classed as a billionaire because anything he says cannot be taken seriously Grin

Did he ever declare himself a billionaire or state the number of crypto he holds? Or did he sign any wallet? I think the wannabe as you refer to him must be very wealthy though....

Hey, where's  the wannabe satoshi? 🤣 if you know who I'm  talking about LoL. Isn't  he a billionaire 🤔

I have read this Forbes article. I believe we have more Billionaires holding BTC now some of them have not come out in public to declare this. I read a post that says, when Bitcoin hit $150k half of the world Billionaires will be Bitcoiners, this is a great achievement for the space and this means we can now start dictating the way we want the world shaped

In my opinion most Billionaires have family offices behind them who will work very hard to get the most return for their family. And probably all of these are run by professional bankers who work based on diversification. Shifting the wealth around in different asset classes is key to make a profit. Bitcoins should be a part of any moder portfolio.

Jeff Bezos owns crypto, no doubt. All the big players are diversifying their investments into gold, silver, and now Bitcoin because they recognize that crypto can compete against fiat if governments want to spend recklessly. I read some articles months ago that Goldman Sachs are included crypto into their portfolios so if giant financial firms are already in the crypto industry, safe to say high net worth individuals are too.

This also means that most of the big banks were WRONG on crypto a decade ago. They knew it was a competitor and tried to kill it early through misinformation.

You can't just throw out as assumption based on nothing and treat it like a fact. It's less likely that Bezos owns crypto than he does. For one, he's never expressed any interest in it. For two, he has absolutely no need for it because his wealth is tied to the company he created, not fiat. He has zero incentive to own crypto as a hedge because his wealth is not made up of dollars, it's only denominated in dollars.

Now central banks around the world are starting to busy making regulations on crypto rejection because they feel competitive and consider crypto a new threat to the financial stability of the country.  But I also never just believed these billionaires to honestly name their portfolios.  I am not interested in what they say of the world's rich.  Because they tend to have the opportunity to become crypto whales themselves and use statements to fry the price so that their investment continues to go up and this is a way for them to always be rich.  Making a fool of the poor who are always followers.  There are many biographies I have read and I do not fully believe in their way of life.

Pretty sure there are more than these people who are filthy rich and owns their very own bitcoins too but would rather enjoy their privacy than being a celebrity on the internet because they own bitcoin too. And the fact that more and more prominent figures are realizing the worth of bitcoin as an asset is a clear evidence that we are off to a good future my guys, this is the path that most sought after commodities like gold and oil took before they basically controlled the market.
They are what we call the shot callers or the people behind the curtain. This could be a disaster though, with more celebrities taking notice of bitcoin the people will be getting at the price point of market that they couldn't afford because a lot of celebrities and famous people are hodling one or more bitcoin and most of them can afford to buy at any price point. That doesn't include business personalities which sees bitcoin as a big hedge to make more money and we know that they are powerful because they can buy a lot of bitcoin. To everyone, that are still doubting on hodling bitcoin, this is the ripe time to buy one and get a piece of yours because the more the rich takes notice, the lesser the chances we can buy one at a reasonable prices.

What a nice post OP! These people are the ones who trust bitcoin and cryptocurrency because these are the people who foresee the future and the good thing about bitcoin. Because of what they are doing, they are silently supporting and promoting bitcoin to other people because of their fame they might get the attraction of other people especially Elon Musk who says that he has a holding of 0.25 bitcoin only and yet we can see the effect of it to the market as well on the doge.

If you're talking about the recent tweets that affects crypto market then the problem isn't really those billionaires but the people who just took these billionaires tweets too seriously. I mean, People like Elon don't even tell people to pump dogecoin but other ordinary people still buying it out of their own intiative anyway. Maybe he's a bit manipulative but if people don't consider every of words coming out of his tweet as a trading signal then he won't be able to manipulate the market.

With just a simple tweet or making a sound of these billionaires toward any cryptos, they can make a big buzz right away.

I don't know if most of those billionaires really owning some Bitcoins or any cryptos. Maybe only a few but they are not taking it seriously.

Especially with Elon Musk, he is like toying with people at those tweets, no seriousness at all, as he believed he can control the market.

I absolutely agree with you, because really not all rich and famous people love publicity in everything, including in financial matters, including not the rich want to be too famous Wink I would still not compare bitcoin with gold and oil, given the still short market history of bitcoin in contrast to oil and gold, which have long been integrated into traditional markets and there are many financial products to work with these assets.

Good read, Out of sMerits at the moment

I found another one who is missing from the list you posted.

Matthew Roszak
Est. cryptocurrency net worth: $1.2 billion

Matthew Roszak
Matthew Roszak JAMEL TOPPIN FOR FORBES
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Roszak worked in venture capital and as an entrepreneur (he also settled insider trading charges in 2006) before buying his first bitcoins in 2012. Today his day job is cofounder and chairman of Bloq, a five-year-old blockchain technology startup with clients like Citigroup and Discover. Bloq consults on everything from payment processing for “stablecoins”—or cryptocurrencies pegged to a traditional currency’s value—to helping banks store digital assets securely. Roszak has long been a crypto evangelist and recently co-led an initiative to give every member of Congress $50 worth of digital assets. Forbes estimates his crypto net worth is $1.2 billion, up from roughly $300 million a year ago. “This is going to be the Roaring ’20s for bitcoin,” he told Forbes.

And also few others available in the list and some millionaires too.

In terms of elon musk and CZ Binance, I think these two people have more bitcoin assets than what is written here because we all don't know for sure how many assets they have because cryptocurrency wallets can be broken and are anonymous so it's difficult to identify that the wallet belongs to both people or not, because both have the potential and have a big influence on cryptocurrency price movements.
Yes, it makes no sense to use #Bitcoin in your public twitter account unless you are deeply investing into it. I am quite sure there are more whales in the market than we think and I wouldn't be surprised if Satoshi is soon revealed because who knows is Elon musk is actually satoshi Grin.

Curious to know What the things behind of Elon Musk adding #BITCOIN in his tweeter bio recently where he has only 0.25 BTC?
That's the funniest part because he might own 250 BTC instead but because of the nature of Bitcoins we never know how much who owns actually. I mean there might be guys with millions of dollars in Bitcoins from their early investing but we don't even know them because they are hidden and might have their bitcoins split into 100 addresses.

How do you think Winklevoss twins have 1.8 billion dollars? Let's do the math and we will see how much they actually own. They said they own 1% of all bitcoins right? Well in that case we have 18 million 620 thousand bitcoins, 1% of that is 186200 bitcoins. Right now bitcoin price stays at around 37500 thousand dollars so in order to calculate the wealth they have ONLY ON BITCOIN we have to calculate 186200 times 37500 which is about 7 billion dollars. So, by logic they are already above except elon musk, they are the richest in the list.

I am not sure how much CZ has but I am sure there are some that we do not know about as well, so I think it is obvious that the list of names are 100% correct but the amount of money they own could be a bit different than expected, otherwise a great list. I think Warren Buffett doesn't understand bitcoin neither but Justin Sun gave him both bitcoin and tron so we could count that too if you only focus on "rich people who owns bitcoin".

He said that he has only 0.25 bitcoin

Nice collection!

Do you have a prove or a source where Elon Musk stated that he owns BTC0.25. So far I always thought he didn't own Bitcoin and only tweeted or wrote about it. He doesn't own Doge either, and yet he pushes prices massively.

Thanks for your support, tyz,
Yes, here is the proof:

However, I don't trust what he said here. I believe he owns much more than this

Elon's a troll who gets off manipulating people, which is why you can't take anything he says seriously. He's well-known for making aggressive targets with Tesla and failing to meet them.  He's well-known for tweeting things that aren't true (e.g., his settlement with the SEC for tweeting materially false information about Tesla). He's well-known for tweeting memes just to get attention (e.g., tweets about Doge that get endless attention). He's a narcissist and his words should be regarded as empty and self-serving because that's the history he's established for himself.  He's also ventured into Covid hoax territory when it's served him and picked fights with people on twitter (pedo lawsuit), which is just unbecoming for someone of his stature. He's not the hero the crypto community deserves, it's kind of annoying he gets as much worship as he does.

They are wise enough to hide what really the numbers of their posessions, Musk nd CZ are super billionaires and playing with money is what they are best with.

We can't tell how much the assets they've really got and how big the influenced they can create in terms of moving this market to the directions that they wanted to go, imagine what happened previously when Musk add the hashtag it pumped up the value and still until
now the after effect is really great.

Stefan Thomas, the programmer from Germany who lost the password for his 7002 bitcoin can be added to the list. The worth of the bitcoin and his worth altogether will count 0.22 billion. Maybe his funds weren't able to be used, but I find him to be a self made billionaire who's worth will keeps on popping higher and higher over the years.
He does technically own the bitcoin but considering the he doesn't have access to it then I don't think that it is right to put him on this list, I would agree with the part of him become a self made billionaire but he has to be able to access the money before doing that. What do you mean by the 0.22 billion?

In my own idea and knowledge about Elon Musk owned a huge amount of Dogecoin rather than Bitcoin, that's what I know
about his holding altcoins. Though, He may have a bitcoin, but I guess none of us here doesn't have any idea how much does He
really hold Bitcoin except for what He mentioned about 0.25BTC only.

Do you really think that Elon Musk would tweet about Bitcoin, if he was holding only BTC0.25? My suspicion is that that may be the amount that he directly owns, but he may be having indirect holdings such as GBTC. And apart from a single tweet mentioning DOGE, he hasn't showed much support for Altcoins to date. But irrespective of how many coins he own, among all the billionaires in that list Elon Musk has been most supportive of Bitcoin.

We don't know, its just an speculation as he himself personally does not claim he holds a lot of coins, per OP, he only had 0.25 btc, and he could only be sharing it or might be hiding the real holdings, but it's really an speculation.

Though, He may have a bitcoin, but I guess none of us here doesn't have any idea how much does He

That's correct, but he can influence the market since he is the richest in the world, what if he use that influence. Making a tweet and received $1 million per tweet. Just like the old times when John McAfee made a tweet and made money every time.

BTW OP, where would CSW sits here? just kidding.  Grin

Elon Musk is the richest person in the world and his net worth is $200 billion and his claim is that he only holds 0.25BTC which does not make any sense considering his net worth and even though he likes to troll with his tweets i am not sure whether he is taking advantage of the situation to make money in the market even though his tweets are influencing the market. Mark Cuban was against bitcoin for a long time and his claim of only holding hundred dollars worth should not be named as billionaires holding bitcoin.

They're billionaires in real life, who knows If they're telling the truth about how much Bitcoin or Doge, and other alts they're holding to their bags. The fact that they're influential enough to change the market sentiments, I guess it's safe to say that they will also take advantage of that to expand their wealth.
I know Elon Musk loves memes and might loved trolling, but isn't It make sense If he could actually benefit from it?
I don't know but I believe he's not only holding 0.25 Btc.

The net worth of Michael Saylor and Michael Novogratz is less than 1 billion so they are not billionaires.
I tired to collect known people mostly.
But how about Chamath? upon researching, it says that he has a billion dollar net worth. Chamath is a popular guy. He's always being added by the media to their articles not just in crypto but also in stocks and other capital ventures.

He's a known bitcoin investor and supporter. Just like this:

Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya says bitcoin will surge to $200,000 as more investors realize they need an 'uncorrelated hedge' against untrustworthy national leaders

Very interesting list! The most surprising to me is Twitter founder having that much interest and investor in crypto currencies, since in Bitcoin is fundamentally created for decentralization and privacy whereas social media is against some of it  Grin having twitter founder as a supporter of crypto, we have a very solid support! Along with the fact that Elon Musk, the best, and my hero and inspiration and the richest person in the world is interested in crypto!

^ Where is Vitalik Buterin? The founder of Ethereum.
Probably he also belongs to these people who had a large number of BTC or just a billionaire.
However, that is not an official one, there are too many of them and the rest did not reveal themself publicly but the truth they are afraid of their security becomes at risk. Even me, I will not risk my life and my family revealing the assets that I am belongs to the billionaire. Nevertheless, we still are thankful that those billionaires understand the BTC investment, they contributed a lot to BTC to raise up the price.
Not sure if one of the billionaires mentioned above has more BTC? or just want to raise prices so that other people can eat them more and they can sell higher, because what I know is that a billionaire with his tweets is able to attract the attention of many people, therefore we have not determined whether these people have more BTC?

Surely they will not reveal it because of that personal assets should not be leaked so with the news they provide it is able to quickly increase the crypto industry because indeed that is one way to FOMO to others.

The billionaires who own bitcoins

I dont get why you mention Cuban and Musk, when they have 0.00000001% of their wealth in btc. Half people on this forum have more BTC then them. That is ridiculous amount for them. For them to own BTC would mean to have at least 1000 BTC. What thy have now is for them like bread crumbs fro me ad you when we feed birds in a park with it.

There is Dave Portnoy the former CEO of Barstool sports a sportsbook site but he has since taken to twitter as his platform to continue his rants about anything he thinks of which peaks his interest, including bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
But that didn't end so well the last time I checked his twitter feed where he was walking around in his underwear saying where did all my money go.
I think he invested in ripple so we all know how that went several weeks ago with xrp getting absolutely F*d up by the SEC. Wink

Thanks, for some reason Google did not give me that information Cheesy Okay, interesting. In 2019 he said he does have 0.25 BTC and no other crypto holdings. In 2020 he stated that he still owns only 0.25 BTC, but that doesn't have to mean that he doesn't own other cryptos in the meanwhile. Especially since May 2020 was the time when Bitcoin really started to take off. Probably he owns more BTC and other crypto by now.

Since some people believe Satoshi is not just a person and we don't have enough information about this identify I didn't write his name on the list.

The whole point of bitcoin is to be stay anonymous and protect our privacy using a p2p system. That's why people like Cuban won't say how much bitcoins they own, because privacy matters. For a billionaire like Mark Cuban 120$ is completely nothing, why he would bother to invest only 120 bucks on bitcoin. They are just protecting their privacy.

I think also the XRP CEOs are also billionaires that owns bitcoin. I remember when Chris Larsen was bullish in bitcoin although their wealth came from their XRP.

yeah, and EOS BlockOne founders, that kept their funds in BTC, proving how much they believe in EOS
https://cointelegraph.com/news/block-one-s-bitcoin-reserves-are-now-worth-double-the-entire-eos-market-cap

there are also additional billionaires and supporters for the matter, but maybe they are not going publicly with how much money they own in BTC, it is one thing to have net worth, that basically does not mean for you to have cash available and other thing to have BTC in your wallet, which is a value that is available at any moment if you want to spend it

Nice list, though I'm pretty sure Mark Cuban has something way more than that $120 in bitcoin that he's revealed. I mean, it's still money, and it's just his ego that he's protecting here if he doesn't tell the masses that he has bitcoins apart from the $120 worth he has now. Even if he's worth billions due to his ventures and businesses, he'd still want to get some money in his pocket in some way or another, and bitcoin is an easy money for that role specifically.

Maybe they are just hiding that they are a huge investor of bitcoin to become modest about their investment.

Just like what Elon Musk stated, he said that he only have 0.25 bitcoin but I think that instead of investing all in bitcoin, he prioritized Doge coin investment.

This can be somehow made us hold for more because these billionaires can manipulate the bitcoin price whenever they want. This is a good information so that we know popular billionaires who value the existence of cryptocurrency in the market. I'm still amazed how Elon Musk pumped Dogecoin for a short period of time and everyone on reddit and twitter are updated on it.
