Well, if the news is real, then I think the popularity of BTC in Canada will increase a lot. However, I am still skeptical about the authenticity of the news, if KFC officials have not reported it.
I read this news this morning and I feel that the market will be very volatile as most major corporations in the world have voiced their support for the crypto and bitcoin markets. This is extremely wonderful. Some corporations also research and develop their own coin, which has made the market show signs of rapid recovery.

Good news but I do not think people in Canada will start to use BTC just because KFC accepts it. Think about it, why would normal people need to change their fiat money to BTC just to buy a fried chicken? Not only that, and why would BTC users waste their coins just to eat fried chicken?

Would you use BTC to by fried chicken? I sure wouldnt. I would use the fiat in my pocket.

The biggest name in fried chicken has launched a cryptocurrency-themed “Bitcoin Bucket,” and yes, you can pay for it using the flagship cryptocurrency.

That's really an amazing news for us crypto-lovers. I really think that every known company should make their customers aware about the usefulness of cryptocurrencies by implementing it into their systems. I think that Bitcoin should not be used in such places due to higher fees and inflation rate. Instead of Bitcoin they should add Tether to avoid higher fees and inflation. Tether can be really useful as it can really impact the usage of cryptos in general.

It was posted through KFC Canada's official twitter account, which is linked in the article, so the authenticity of the news is out of the question. You can check the verified tag yourself.

As for the impact it has, I honestly have no idea. I mean, it spreads awareness and everything, which is definitely good in the long run, but I'm not paying for a freaking bucket with Bitcoin. I might end up paying higher fees than the bucket itself lmao. It's awesome to see companies jumping on the bandwagon though!

We are going to see a lot of different companies experimenting with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Seems like a marketing technique though, they wanna be apart of the fade without diving in head first which is good in some aspects. We have seen a lot of stock companies mention how they are going to incorporate bitcoin, and then pump insane. So using bitcoin is likely just an attempt to get out there. No one wants to pay $20+fees+$5 shipping + taxes on a bucket of chicken. Lets be honest. Litecoin or another currency would have been a better fit.
