You are given a life and you can do what you want with it.

Yes, but you have to know that we have limitations, every country have its own way to Govern they people, maybe they are being unfair or what for you but the law is the law, if you don't want that, then you must be an asshole that only knows how to trash talk the Government but a coward in real life.

The government must fuck off with its useless laws. I mean the government there actually threatens its citizens. Why would you even want to pay tax to a government that threatens its own people? Paying tax there is like helping corruption and stupidity.

I agree that there are useless laws, but again, paying taxes is your responsibility as you are a regular citizen of a certain country, unless you're an alien or maybe you're just an airhead person who preach things that you didn't even know what for, if there are no taxes, you will not have whatever do you own because everything in the society is being controlled by taxes (by the Government)

THat's really stupid. He should just start accepting crypto. We have place here that sells miners and they have a small cafe where you can use crypto to pay for your coffee or whatever you order.

"Transacting with any type of decentralized cryptocurrency can get you up to 12 years in jail and it has been so for almost three years."

Seriously what a shithole country. throwing people in jail for nothing. There is something seriously wrong with you if you want to throw people in a cage. You are given a life and you can do what you want with it. The government must fuck off with its useless laws. I mean the government there actually threatens its citizens. Why would you even want to pay tax to a government that threatens its own people? Paying tax there is like helping corruption and stupidity.

If I lived there I would wear bitcoin shirts and plaster bitcoin adverts all over the damn place and make a website about it and blast it on social media. They said trading was illegal they said nothing about talking about it. They only discouraged it. You have to fight back you can't take that sitting down. Thank goodness I do not live in a ridiculous country like that. We may have our problems but at least we don't take people's freedom away.

The Bangladesh Government honestly sounds like a bunch of thugs.
For someone who isn't even a Bangladeshi you have summed up the current autocratic and corrupted situation in Bangladesh perfectly. It is even more unthinkable that Bangladesh government does not allow people to use PayPal let alone cryptocurrencies in this age.

In Bangladesh, people are not allowed to use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Govt has declared it illegal. The great news is our current Finance Ministry is thinking over it and we will probably be seen Bitcoin legal in the coming years.
In Dhanmondi, there's a cafe namely "The Bitcoin Cafe". Although they don't accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, I see it as a great way of promotion, people will learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I have visited this cafe 2 times and asked to pay with Bitcoin but he wasn't agreed.

The name itself is a big influence to all bitcoin lovers and to those who didn't know about bitcoin yet. There are still plenty of governments that are still afraid in crypto currencies and I am sure that many will benefit once your government will start to legalize the use of bitcoin in your country.

The design of their cafe is very amazing also as it is full of cryto currencies symbol aside from bitcoin, they also have monero, eth, ripple and etc.

The fact that bitcoin is illegal there, I found it amazing how brave the owner is to promote and even directly naming his cafe with "Bitcoin".

I bet the owner of that cafe is one of the early adopters of bitcoin since Bangladesh banned virtual currency from 2014 until now. The owner is truly amazing for showing his appreciation in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency by creating a cafe with the bitcoin name on it, we need more people like the owner for us to grow the community much stronger and bravier than before.

Ironic, isn't it that here comes a Bitcoin Cafe but you can not spend your bitcoin in there just use your fiat to have your coffee served fast. I agree that this is the reminder for the people and the government to soon change their mindset on cryptocurrency before it is too late. I am sure that bitcoin and cryptocurrency can be helping a lot of people in Bangladesh and the government can be able to collect additional taxes from the business. I am suggesting that people who are into cryptocurrency in this country band themselves together and make some allies with people of the government who are sympathetic to the cause.

Somehow, the essence of them being the bitcoin cafe isn't there, maybe it is mainly created for advertisement but the advertisement might be even stronger with actual working bitcoin system for their transactions. Through that, people will perceive that bitcoin do actually exist, no scam, no issues, actual with a coffee. If so, they can coordinate to the government to fix taxes price and to be able to regulate their business.

Wow! Interesting café, this is really for the promotion and advertisement of bitcoin in your country. Although right now, I've read that your country has imposed ban to bitcoin, I know that one day it will become good again.

I think I'll share it too that I've been into a computer parts kiosk last Monday on a mall and there's a 'bitcoin accepted' logo, sadly I forgot to ask on when they've started doing that. I would love to see the café near my place to do the same theme and even accept bitcoin.

Sounds great. It is not an easy thing to name a shop by "Bitcoin Cafe" when your government declared Bitcoin is illegal! As you said Finance Ministry is thinking to legalize the cryptocurrency, I hope after that happens, Bitcoin Cafe will start taking the crypto payment! I have several friends in Bangladesh, and they said Prime Minister already announced that Blockchain will be accepted in 2020! So, let's see what happens. We really need Bangladesh, India in the crypto supported countries list.

If I were to start my own traditional business or to revive my dad’s coffee shop, I would love to implement Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments to begin massive adoption and awareness. Although it may take a long while for them to adopt it, but it’s gonna be a great start.
That's a very good idea for promoting cryptocurrency. In just a simple way like this, you are helping as well to make the price increase while using bitcoin. Look at the OP's story, even if they don't accept bitcoin as payment because it's illegal in their country but still it's a very good start so that many people will be able to know and have some research on what bitcoin is and how it works.

In my hometown, there is one restaurant owned by my friend who already accepts Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for payments. It’s a great start for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency awareness. Originally, my dad and I planned to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as mode of payment for our coffee shop and mini-resto, however our operations did not last long due to competition and poor choice of area.

If I were to start my own traditional business or to revive my dad’s coffee shop, I would love to implement Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments to begin massive adoption and awareness. Although it may take a long while for them to adopt it, but it’s gonna be a great start.

Would it be right if I think of them as mocking bitcoin or maybe the  bitcoin on there menu. A cafe that doesn't accept bitcoin would not be the best place to learn about bitcoin "I can preach that vegetables are healthier and I do not eat vegetables" it doesn't add up.
Bitcoin cafe aside what the government of that country needs is to get out of there high horses and see the true meaning of bitcoin and how it can easy some of the country's difficulties
I think this cafe just wants to promote some awereness about Bitcoin's existence.
It is clear from OP's word that the country have ban the people from using crypto so basically accepting crypto in their cafe would make them law breaker.
They dedicated their own money and effort on opening a shop like this so why would you think that they are mocking it?
It is clear that they are supporting crypto currency or Bitcoin even in their own way .

This was beautiful! Aside from its aesthetics this really serves as a promotion. Although Bitcoin was banned in bangladesh people there will somehow have an idea how cryptocurrency work specifically bitcoin. It was nice to hear that there are cafe shop that is inspired by bitcoin, somehow this shows global adoption which is what we need. We need to attract people to use bitcoin so that the demand will increase and subsequently its price will be skyrocket.

I think most of the governments that avoids and bans Bitcoin will break their stubborness and allow Bitcoin for using. Bangladesh is going on this way for example. It will be a good example for other countries.

That's a very techy cool cafe which can actually promote the idea. I hope it will accept crypto payments soon.

Great decoration, I should they should issue a token for the cafe and offer discounts for their token holders and make events for token holders too.

In my mind i think the  owner  of bitcoin cafe  might be cryptocurrency  investor so he/she is branding the company  to extend that  when your    government finally legalize  bitcoin or other cryptocurrency  the company  will become a house hold  name. Bitcoin cafe will be common name  in your country when its come bitcoin business and they will be the first to  accept  BTC when it finally legalize.

With increasing craze about cryptocurrency among people the businesses are also making changes in their strategies to attract more customer like this bitcoin cafe.It sounds good but it would have better if they offer payment in btc but the government didn't allow it and have declared it as illegal. The governments all around the world should appreciate the importance of virtual currencies and use them to boost the world economy.Hope we see that time soon.

Governments change and also the ideas change. I think Bitcoin will be legalized around the world in 15-20 years. Maybe it won't be the local currency of countries but it will be inevitable to be accepted by governments and it will be one of the best currencies in the world.
