It was the most enjoyable amateur video content I've watched recently. Trezor should have been a sponsor for this movie. It made me think we had to watch this movie to get more people to recognize Bitcoin.

The movie talks about beautifully, both reliable BTC storage methods and that Bitcoin isn't actually a very complicated thing. It is also mentioned that the block reward is 6.25 BTC. So the movie tells about the post-halving. The estimate of 42K € frankly cheered me up.

(BTW, I watched this video with subtitles in Youtube. And I want to posting about it in my local board.)

Henning had only 42 BTC, but was living in such a castle. There is so much unspoken in this film Smiley I'm sure that he had sold most of his bitcoins in January 2018 to be able to afford that castle.

He may have sold some of his BTC before, not necessary at the end of 2017 or early 2018. Maybe he is an early adopter who mined at an early stage when reward per block was 50 BTC. Also, if you watched the movie, price of 1 BTC is 47 500 EUR, therefore, things should not be put into perspective of today's prices.

Henning is have almost 2 million EUR at that price, and maybe price was even higher when he bought castle, or he maybe rent it, or got it inherited. However, this is an imaginary event, not a documentary in which everything should have a purpose and an explanation.

I wonder what was the budget of this movie.

P.S. there is a btc address for donation on youtube in movie description. This topic was made April 18, and there already two donations done since that. Hope these people came from bitcointalk Smiley

I must admit the first impression i get when i’m started to watch this movie was the sound, the sound is great, it’s clear detailed and so dramatic. Overall this is a great short movie, indie in steroids. Thumbs up to all who involved in the making.

but it's still well below the radar, so feel free to spread the word.  Wink

Done via Twitter, hope it helps. I will also try to promote video on my site, but in today's world, everyone is in the race for profit only, and they don't have too much time for some good crypto movie.

Maybe the second part could be sponsored by Ledger, because the story could definitely have a sequel Wink

Really interesting. The way they develop those characters it's marvelous. Everyone done genuine job i think. Maximum people use bitcoin as a investment but i think people should use BTC as a fiat currency. I don't know who is behind this project but it's good to see that people are making documentary about bitcoin. Hope those kinda documentary/short film will make in near future also. Cause film/short film is the much reliable way to reach bitcoin's importance to random peoples.

I have one question, does Trezor sponsored he video? Cheesy

They "just" donated the hardware. And they probably were chosen just for their name. Simply a great metaphor for a lay audience.
Imagine if Trezor sponsored the video, the film could have been better, there will be additional funds for some actors ( I think they are shorting with actors and actresses for a better story line) and the emphasis on hardware wallet will be more focused throughout the film.

I like how the movie's made. The quality is nice, the actors are good, and the topic is relevant. Did you make it, or maybe someone you know? The movie looks like festival material, seriously. I did not plan to watch it, but I could not stop once I started.

Yes, the movie and the shooting was conceived, scripted, directed, organized, cut and post-produced all alone by Bruno, a long-time Bitcoin community member here in Munich who works in film making / media, and does his own indie films (check his youtube channel); actors and additional staff (camera, sound, light) were hired professionals and largely also from Munich or related (and future-coiners, hopefully), and the movie was intended to premiere on the annual film festival this summer here, as well as to compete in several shortfilm festivals internationally. But all this falls flat now.  Undecided So donations (BTC address at the end of the movie) will be very welcome!
oh, and the movie was created for annual film summer festival. All in all I find the movie very unique, I want to commend Bruno for making that short film hope it will get a title for having such infrequent content.
2K views on youtube is not bad at all, it is already amassing views hope you guys will share it to other platforms especially on facebook and twitter.

I really liked the premise because money is no good if you don't use it, and it should apply to Bitcoin as well. If I feel like going on a trip and don't have cash, I do sell some BTC because I think it's a worthy investment.
And they have 42 Bitcoins! They should've used at least some of it.
I also enjoyed that the film is educational. Like when he explains how stealing the wallet stick would not result in him losing his BTC.
I did not like that the main character says Bitcoin is a store of value.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
Thumbs up to the creator and to the actors, well made Smiley

All the things mentioned is possible to happen to anyone from having no friends because of obsession (though never know anyone like this) to being murdered because of the wrong people you trusted and practice of security even using a HW (placing the written security in the paper in a common and  unsafe drawer)

And a well made promotion for trezor as well Grin

Seems like a soap opera to me. Grin
Maybe the creator should add a comedy element at the end.Something like "Luigi and Astrid finally get those 42 bitcoins, but after one day,the bitcoin price collapsed to 10 USD"... Not quite accurate with reality, but the FUDsters+Craig "Fakesothi",Roger Ver and the altcoin supporters would love it. Grin
It's good to know that more creative people start "promoting" Bitcoin in their art, even though I wouldn't call such short film "art". Grin

Pretty well-made and very instructive, not only when it comes to handling confidential information, but also that one has to be extremely careful who to trust, even if it is a very close person. Even though this is just a movie, this kind of thing can happen to anyone, so I suggest everyone watch this movie and not repeat Henning mistakes - don't believe the wrong woman/man and don't leave your passphrase in such a trivial place as a closet drawer.

Money motivates people to do terrible things, adultery, murder and theft are among the most common.

Short films that tell about Bitcoin have a positive impact on bitcoin. This is as a promotional media for the public about Bitcoin which is presented in the form of a short film.

this needs to get appreciation. however making a film takes quite a long time and writes the script.

I want to watch it today.

OP, I'm putting this down to watch later, but I'd have merited your post in any case, had I any to give away! I'm always just so pleased to see any kind of creative art dedicated to Bitcoin. And who else but crazy Germans making a film like this, eh? Kid I know also into art (and has done some btc art) has been in a murder-mystery mood for 2 years now. Thought it was a fad but she's only gotten deeper into it haha. She might dig this, but I'll need to screen it first =p

It's a nice thriller short film, I had created a thread in our local similar to this short filming promoting Bitcoin but I don't like the concept because it will end up of having crime.

I will try to search for this film, later on, to see what really happens and know what will happen next. Behavioral issues are the things that I want to know that gives the story a twist. Like why the protagonist wants to stay on the castle instead of going back to the world where he came from and why Luigi wanted to leave the place where he came from.

Anyway, we should never trust anyone else. Treat our Bitcoin as a valuable stuff, theives are everywhere.
