Canary Wharf... good times of a long time ago  Grin

So, which is the topic of CoinSummit? I've read that the bitcoin elites will be all in this conference  Roll Eyes

They are mostly talking about it from a financial perspective. They are trying to get entrepreneurs and VCs together in a room.

They just did a piece about Bitcoin on Sky News. It's the first time I've ever seen Bitcoin mentioned on Sky News. I suppose this is why they're talking about it today.

Exchange Bitcoin elites for Dollar elites
Result = fucking same

Not really, with bitcoin elites there can be more transparency as well as more equality as there is no money printing (well technically there is, according to mining power).

But we have control of our money rather than having to trust the elites (banks) to play nice. (Which they don't)

So the result goes slightly in the right direction.

Result = Slightly improved, like an inch.
I tend to agree. today's wealthy "game" the system to keep their advantage. In bitcoin you have to play and compete equally. If someone is making big money by working hard and smart, then that's fine with me. In a system like the NYSE small players really only get pennies for their effort, as it has become a rigged market. That I am not fine with.

Ghash.io, Cex.io Coindesk, Bitcoin Foundation all under one very exclusive roof in Canary Wharf, the financial fraud capital in the world. At £720 per ticket for entrepreneurs this is an interesting approach to a decentralised network that empowers the individual.

How very posh

If you don't know Canary Wharf, it's rather like Dubai without the weather.

So if you have something to say you can watch the content for free on their Livestream and have your say on Twitter #Coinsummit (I believe they have the hashtag up on their big screen at the venue).

I am watching it now, if I get significantly annoyed by the elitism I may be moved to do a show on World Crypto Network and I would be keen to get any insight from you guys here. Are events like this harmful or do you think it's just a load of old money trying to stay relevant?
