For those who are interested in auction sites that allow for a little more extensive presentation of your items-- we hope you'll give us a look.
http://www.thebitcoinplace.com/concourse/We've been around since May, though there's been some down time recently while we did some adjustments to the site. But now we're starting back up, and we'd love to see some new listings.
As you can see, we've got an extensive list of available categories, so feel free to get rid of some of those extra mining rigs and Porsches that are taking up space around the house...!
Thanks for your interest-- hope to see everyone there!

EDIT:
Here's an excerpt of one of our early posts concerning the site, which will give you some idea of how the site operates...:
Announcing The Bitcoin Place – the Auction Website powered by Bitcoin!!(
http://www.thebitcoinplace.com)
The Bitcoin Place is a new twist on the familiar idea of auction websites. At The Bitcoin Place Concourse (our new auction site), all prices and bids are denominated in BTC; and more importantly, the site is dedicated to the maintenance of everyone’s anonymity—you share your information directly with your partner in the transaction, and NOT with anyone else.
Unlike other auction sites, which often require users provide credit card, banking or other personal information, The Bitcoin Place Concourse is dedicated to the idea that mature, responsible adults should have a convenient and attractive buy/sell forum, where they’re able to conduct their deals privately, with an absolute minimum of supervision. You’re an adult—why shouldn’t you be treated like one?
So, how does it work? Well, it’s easy enough—
1. Sellers & Buyers register at the site, using a valid email address. At the same time, they also create their username for The Bitcoin Place. And did I mention that
listing items is FREE?
2. Buyers peruse the listings, and bid on the items in BTC (currently in 0.000001 BTC increments). At the end of the auction, the high bidder wins. There are, of course, also set-sale “Buy Now” auctions, where the Buyer can purchase the item for a stated price, without waiting for the auction to end normally.
3. At the conclusion of the auction, an message is sent to the Seller, requesting payment of the site’s 5.00% commission for the transaction.
4. After the commission payment is confirmed, a message is sent to both the Seller & Buyer, containing each person's email address. The Buyer and Seller are then free to discuss payment and shipping/delivery requirements between themselves.
5. Once those details have been worked out, the Buyer pays the final price to the Seller in a private, off-site Bitcoin wallet-to-wallet transaction, or by whatever payment system they have agreed upon.
There’s a little more on the site’s policies at:
http://www.thebitcoinplace.com/policies.htmlI’ve put a couple of auctions in to get everything started, so I hope everyone will take a look around, and if you like what you see, we hope you’ll try us out.
(And I might add- since those of you looking at this post will be the first potential users of the site, you’ll get first crack at securing the good usernames, before someone else grabs them!)
Anyway—just wanted to let everyone know. If you have any questions, please feel free to post in this thread, and I’ll answer whatever I can.
We’re excited about the potential for The Bitcoin Place Concourse, and we hope to see all of you there!
