Anyone thinking like that will without a doubt get really surprised when in fact the truth of the matter is the opposite, maybe that was true back in the day when bitcoin was not worth much and people gave away full bitcoins just to try to get more people to become part of this market, but that has not been true for a long time since no one is going to give away an asset which is worth more than 10k and that it could go up even more at any moment, so all of those people thinking they are going to get free money do not really know anything about the market and sooner or later they will leave disappointed because of their lack of results.

I am not mad, and I am calm since I am just explaining it and actually stating the fact. Earning money is not that easy even though you get a profit from bitcoin because it is increasing from time to time doesn't mean it is that easy. Bitcoin also falls, we all know that, that is why we are analyzing the charts, the market that should be the same with the investments that we are doing. You don't just put your money into something because you want to earn, you also wanted to help the project but also at the time you should analyze that project's legitimacy. It is your money, you should be careful with it.

Specific species. We are all created differently, many things can affect the perspective and the way someone thinks about an object. Nor can we really blame or justify anything, because everyone has their own "way" of judging. Nothing is perfect, all things have advantages and disadvantages to each. Likewise, with crypto, say bitcoin, there are many pros and cons.
We cannot force others to line up with our thoughts, accept the differences to learn mutual respect. Everyone has their own tendency to choose the path of success. There are also many investment products, the difference is the level of risk.

Yes. I believe most of the people in bitcoin society treats bitcoin as a source of a good income and makes an easy money. But the more you stay long in this crypto community, you will not just think that bitcoin is a privilege to make money but you will come to enjoy every new things that you will learn about the advantages of bitcoin.

Many people interprets bitcoin base on their understanding,for those that comprehend BTC as a source of scam are really myopic because them don't know the help bitcoin has render to the societies, bitcoin is really acceptable like paper money for some many countries that values btc and it used for exchanges of numerous transactions.

Agree, some people treat cryptocurrency as an asset only for making money and it is an opportunity for some to earn and study about cryptocurrency. Well, the new technology creates a new society and that's the blockchain, it also a benefit for those people who are trying to develop the society through technology. In this industry we cannot avoid some people on their beliefs about bitcoin. Because some just treated bitcoin to make an easy money. Though bitcoin has a great opportunity to the users to gains knowledge and at the same to earn money. Do not forget the view that bitcoin is a place to make money without capital,
many people enter the world of crypto for this reason, and unfortunately this is one of the wrong views, because after all bitcoin is not a place to make money without capital,
for me, bitcoin is a fiat alternative to help one easily make transactions between one another.

Different views of course exist and it is natural that some people see bitcoin to make money and have a bright future with bitcoin investing, people's opinions are not the same and in general I really believe many people look at bitcoin to make money.

This, just as people have different opinions about many subjects the same is true for bitcoin, there are those that see bitcoin as nothing more but as a way to make money, those that look at it as a scam, those like us that look at it and see the future and those like the governments that see a threat, we must accept that we cannot change this and just accept it for what it is because at the end those that have the more accurate vision of bitcoin will be the ones that benefit the most out of it and I am sure those that like us see bitcoin as the future of money are in the right and eventually the rest of the population will have to come around and recognize that fact.

ouch man dont treat them like that . they aready got scammed and then your still angry with them . why not talk calmly and instead of blaming them why not educate them so that they can avoid being scammed next time .

The reality speaks it all that in this world that we are living, people will have different says about a certain thing for they have different perspective with regards to such thing's existence. Sometimes criticism coming from people makes it a point to come into improvement which is a good thing for different perspective is seeing the flaws or imperfection that others do not see and to those who see correctness about that certain thing makes other people see what they are really missing out with it. It is normal that people might accept Bitcoin as it is and might not for the same reasoning. We all do respect that for satisfaction depends upon the way people perceive certain thing on their on point of view and not just because other people tells them to do so. It is also normal for a certain thing like Bitcoin to have its own flaws to prove that nothing in this world is created to become perfect. Now acceptance and adaption of using it certainly depends now on the individual himself.

And for those that are using bitcoin and investing bitcoin for a long time that can distinguish scam projects and scam schemes, those people still look bad or unknowledgeable. People should be able to distinguish them, it is not the fault of bitcoin, the fault is in that investor or individual that is scammed. People will take advantage of the people being naive that they could earn easily and quickly that is why you should analyze a project well.

For me it was a sort of Ying and Yang scenario. There is good (bitcoin in this case) and there is bad (the sh*tcoins of course) circulating in an ecosystem — well balanced. Nice concept in all fairness however I still prefer the fantasy type. Wherein all of us are living happily ever after and harness crypto's full potential for the greater good. But I know that your concept is closer to reality than mine .
Well, it's because of boomer problems lol jk. But you know what, I'm glad because at least the elders in my surrounding appreciates what I'm doing. Yeah! They can't fully understand the technicalities of it but they are still amazed and willing to learn. That's what I'm talking about, boomers vs new gen wars are nonsense. We are looking now at the future and if you make it agree with it you need to adopt right now only few country accepting the use of the bitcoin and we cannot deny that there are some does not approved the use of it and some of them banned the use of the bitcoin. If you are still young and you already known and the use of the bitcoin there is a chance you will encourage to use this coin because its more fast and reliable unlike the other kind of transactions. On my age, I already see the importance of the bitcoin that's why I still using this coin to make additional earning with the use of trading and investment too, its quite hard to make it introduce to other people like to the elder with me because they don't know what it is and they are afraid to taking a new path or new risk.

Also, some of the movies and other scammers give a bad image on the bitcoin, to the movies they are using the bitcoin as money of evil they are paying with the use of the black-market but we cannot deny this is usually as the payment today, and also to the scammers they are using the name of the bitcoin to get more people as a victim, usually in trading this happens because they are stating you can get a money easily but just investing, and some of them tried this already and got the first attempt and got their salary at the next coming days they will now start to scam them.

Society is too far fetch so I second your statement. But one thing that I can refute is that anyone who has an inkling connection to bitcoin is part of the community, good or bad. It is just sad that these bad apples in the crypto bucket is what is keeping other people from taking a glance into our community. Hopefully, someday the bad apples will slowly diminish if not completely lost and that in theory will clean the face of the community for the mainstream to look at and not be repulsed.

With so many scams happening using Bitcoin, it makes Bitcoin look bad. If this is allowed, trust in Bitcoin can be lost,
to overcome this and Bitcoin can be accepted by more people. The Bitcoin society must be seen to be active in providing
education and also promoting, so that more people get to know Bitcoin correctly. Today the Bitcoin society seems to be
selfish, by just focusing on making a profit. That's why Bitcoin growth is not fast enough and there are still many people
who don't know Bitcoin properly. Whereas to get more people to buy Bitcoin, education and promotion by the Bitcoin society
are needed.

Of course it was easy money who initially believed in bitcoin. But unfortunately at the moment it is not easy money. Someone has gained a lot of happiness and someone a lot of grief. Indeed, the crypto community is currently huge and continues to grow. It is very good that it did not end only with bitcoin but there were even more successful technical projects, as it seems to me.

Just like OP said, there are different opinions or views as to what bitcoin is. A lot of people believe it's a scam even after many years of helping people around the globe.
I do believe however that the True Bitcoin bitcoin society or community comprises of those who see bitcoin as the future and not just as a scheme to make quick money.
The community of bitcoin believers has grown tremendously over theast decade and I believe if it continues at this rate, it is only a matter of time before everyone begin to regard bitcoin as the future.

We should be patient with anything that happens to bitcoin, and even if many people out there say that bitcoin is a scam, they will see the truth.
But we should still give the right information about bitcoin to them to slowly open their minds to accept bitcoin.

so good for you because in mine there are only few option to use this unless you need to convert in fiat first.

It is better to support the whole cryptocurrency community than bitcoin only it depends on your if you are just using the bitcoin also me I love to use the bitcoin too for making an investment.

Right now only few people are using this coin and some of the country does not support this coin and banned this already I don't know why too because for me its benefits to make a faster transactions unlike the traditional way.

Also I'm using the bitcoin too for buying some stuffs I need because some of the stores on my country are supporting this as a payment method.

Some others think it is a scam because either someone use it to them or the media told them that it was a scam. I have seen a lot of scenarios that it happened. But anyway, I am pretty sure that they will see the capabilities and accept it eventually. In time, the Crypto community will be more bigger that we can ever imagine. People are gradually acknowledge what it can do. It may be prohibited in other countries but this won't stop the community to get bigger.

That means it is about different groups that exist in life like in this digital era and indeed, in fact, each group will always produce great people, so that great people are not only in the Bitcoin society or group. It’s normal thing, people will always have a choice and our choices and understanding will defer. That you like Bitcoin doesn’t mean other people are going to like it too, there are people who wouldn’t be interested in it at all, and you shouldn’t try to convince them, everyone should be free to make use of whatever they prefer to use.

As you have pointed out, there are also people who see this as an opportunity to earn money, and there are also those that are more interested in the technology and how they can send and receive money quick and easy. The first thing that attracted me to Bitcoin was the technology, because I was able to send and receive money through and not investment purposes. PayPal wasn’t fully working then for me, I can only send but can’t receive. Took me long before I started to invest.

What we like is different, and also the way things are being presented can make it seem bad to a lot of people. Just like Bitcoin, there was a good purpose behind it, but some people are making it seem like it’s bad and also the way it’s being used and where it’s being accepted, it’s really going to take a lot of convincing to get people to make use of.

Another thing is that cryptocurrency is very volatile, unlike the normal cryptocurrency we are using, which is less volatile and doesn’t pop up and down in thousands in a minute, so it’s difficult for a lot of people to fit in with that.

I agree, making money from the cryptocurrency market is difficult. In the past when bonus programs were working well people could have a good income, but in the present situation it was difficult to find a good bonus.
Besides, everyday trading becomes more difficult because the market changes erratically, which makes making money more difficult than ever.

Very well said. Imagine how far and large this creation of Satoshi's brilliant idea had reached and touch people's lives as time goes on. I don't actually know if he started it out with a group of people. But look at us now, more and more growing individuals are learning and really gives contributions in this Blockchain industry. a society doesnt mean that it will be composed by smart people or integrated people as you called it  but a society can be composed by any kind of people but i dont think there is a non smart bitcoiner because bitcoin requires some skills and knowledge to understand it but i dont also mean that people that arent involved on here are not smart .  bitcoin society is uncommon word but we should say bitcoin community because this is what i heard the most but anyway both of them still have the same meaning  .

There are a lot of people getting afraid of the use of the bitcoin because came from the news and another source of information they saw. Tells about bitcoin is just a scam and many people using this in the black market even tho they are right too

There is also a good image with the use of bitcoin too many people make an investment with this coin and make a trade to make double up their money. But sometimes there are really some people trying to scam others because it's the easiest thing they could ever do.

Well, I guess it is not that they can't see what bitcoin's future holds and what it can do for them but I think it is just that only a few people actually accepts it and use it the reason they don't know it and here in our country usually it is considered as a scam since people don't know what it really is and that is how the media shows it.

Yeah, there are still many people doubting the ability of bitcoin and some are having thoughts of it being a scam. Once they've learned the features of it, they will slowly adapt the isage of bitcoin soon. Not all of the society starts from big, sometimes there's a process before becoming a massive society of bitcoin users.

This is totally normal. People will at first start denying bitcoin, slowly those will start to "reduce" and more people will start accepting and adopting bitcoin. One day this "small" bitcoin society will turn out to be the only society that exists (unless every country starts to go against bitcoin or such a flaw has been found in the system that cannot be fixed and the future becomes uncertain). One day there will be (almost) every people that will have the same opinion about bitcoin. Just give it some time.

Agree, it's really hard to avoid such accusations cause there are really a lot of people creating scams all around the social media. They are taking advantage of what bitcoin can offer in a bad way. This is creating a certain image to those people who doesn't have any idea what it is. I've watch footage where the grab driver told his passenger that he is talking to a scammer, by that time, he already converted his money into bitcoin and send it to the caller. He thought the person he is talking to is a legit person from a credit card company, so he lost his money and the scammer use bitcoin to escape. Its true that its a red flag already if a credit card company asks for a payment in bitcoin right? So other people already thinks of red flag when its bitcoin. It has this image of being used in that kind of scams, cause its hard to trace.

The challenge is how can we inform others about this but not make them think bitcoin is scam in general.

We have seen the development so far, since the first year it was created, Bitcoin has really gone through a very difficult period. I agree. Like here in my Country, its not really spreading widely. Though there are lots of people here who knew and learned about Bitcoin, but its only in the cities and mostly are those millennials who are definitely tech savvy.
As for the Government, they are so hesitant in recognizing and adopting Bitcoin because it is more likely involved in illegal usage or scam. But, somehow they can't deny that Bitcoin at this strange time is really a big help to all the people working in this Crypto world, to the community and to the economy as well.

We must acknowledge that not all societies will accept Bitcoin in the same way. Since Bitcoin has not yet spread around the world, not many people know about it yet. So far many governments around the world have not recognized Bitcoin for their country. Because all those countries think that bitcoin is harmful and illegal for their country. This forum is already composed of what you mentioned, although it is Bitcoin Talk, we got ourselves some boards for the alt coin holders. I guess crypto space isn't just closed to being a forum.

I think bitcoin society exists in many countries, but maybe people in that society are not the same as the other society. I think it's like some people gather in one place, such as a cafe or in a public area that talks about bitcoin and everything related to crypto. It's not like the other society which always meets each other many times or every day because people who involve in bitcoin have other things to do.

But I prefer to call those people with some people who want to have a new opportunity to make money from crypto because if I am with my friends, we are not only talking about crypto, but we talk about many things.

As BTC related to economy so there need more time to adoption in government or society. Happy sign is people are not staying home without using BTC where government ban cryptocurrency. Truly my government also not accepting BTC but many men making transaction here. So i am also happy to be a part of cryptocurrency as it has given me economically solvency. I'm pretty sure OP meant that bitcoin is seen as "easy money" in an investment perspective by some people; which really isn't new due to the huge number of moonboys online.

Also, you definitely can earn bitcoin from your laptop:

1. I earn bitcoin through my signature campaign.
2. I earn bitcoin through accepting bitcoin on an online store.
3. I earn bitcoin through trading alts sometimes.

..which all 3 are done through my Dell XPS laptop. Earning bitcoin doesn't necessarily mean mining it. You can earn bitcoin like how you earn fiat, because bitcoin is money.

Bitcoin has been in existence for some years now and if you term it as a society you may be right in your own opinion, since it involve a group of people sharing the same mentality about money and how it is used. The world at large have come to accept the reality of bitcoin as a mode of payments and even government are working out ways to accommodate this as most states will love to adopt the cashless economics system.

Well, I wouldn't agree that it's impossible - unless you mean BTC mining, which was initially possible on a regular computer, and today requires special devices. A laptop is quite enough to earn quite a decent amount in BTC if you have experience in crypto trading, participating in signature campaigns, web and graphic design, selling various things and services. Bitcoin is really becoming more popular these days that we are in a pandemic and digital transactions are more important.

Hoping that more people or even the governments will see its importance when it comes to that. Bitcoin is a must to invest because there's a lot of benefit and advantages from it so the opportunity to invest to it shouldn't be wasted. The main goal of this "Bitcoin society" has changed though, and that's a bit sad. From cypherpunks and rebels we've turned into a mass of people who only have a dream of seeing Bitcoin massively adopted by any means so that we can profit off an insane price increase.

Too many are completely forgetting what Bitcoin should have really been and, instead of supporting decentralization and rejecting attempts to artificially centralize the network through stupid regulations, we're just digesting every rule we receive as is and we're getting excited over news that are actually going against Satoshi's ideas. Well, most societies always have different groups with different beliefs in them, and it's rather normal tbh. It's actually what makes up growth within a community. Not all societies can be accepted by everyone, but at the same time, they also can't deny it's existence, so it's actually just better to converse inside the society rather than argue about others what makes your society better. If they wanted to enter, let them enter, but if not, there's no need to persuade or force them to.

Most of the others who don't even want to enter are those who absolutely know nothing of it, or those who think of it as a scam, both of which are just ignorant people tbh. As for those in it for the money, well, they can be a part of it I suppose? Not only that, a lot worse— A LOT of people still think that bitcoin is a scam and/or a ponzi scheme even if they didn't spend a single minute in actually trying to dig deeper into it. That one fact itself is huge enough of a proof that it isn't "too late" to get into bitcoin.

The obscure and somewhat irrelevant things of the past are, ironically, some of the most widely-used things and concepts today. Perhaps the concept of cryptocurrency is just too much for the present society to gobble up, given our heavy reliance to traditional financial tools that are laid out in front of us. Also, people does not necessarily 'hate' bitcoin but rather does not understand it fully, and in turn see no use of it for their affairs.

If most people are able to grasp the concept of cryptocurrencies at their palms, we would see a lot of people actually seeing some benefits in using it more than fiat, and would trust bank less than they ever have their entire lives. But of course that takes time and a lot of paradigm shifts away from our current financial system for it to happen.

I do not agree with a lot of how OP puts it but I certainly agree that the "bitcoin society" is really in a way how OP described it. Something that has taken root so much that it really is all viewed by everyone so differently yet all of that does not matter.

We all use it,,, we all want it to succeed,,, we all have our different ways to help get it there. It is vague. It is a concept.

Just like with everything else, Bitcoin could be different from one person to another. It's just funny how different views of the same thing are coming from opposite ends. One's symbol of freedom could mean a scam to another. It could mean a genius breakthrough to one as it could mean as shallow as a Ponzi to another. While others are advocating that we should let go of it and spend it as money, others are also tightly hodling on to it for the longest term possible.

Regardless, Bitcoin stays as Bitcoin and only time will tell which side proves to be right.

 Different societies means different people surrounded by it with different perspectives. Bitcoin can be a great way to help others in a financial way, but seems that scammers ruined the name thus making other people believe that bitcoin is not legit.

Most of the revolutions that have brought about great changes in world history started with one man and then developed into a global society with its goals, projects and men who defend these goals. We should feel proud that we are one of the people who contributed to the growth of this society and its access Globalism.

Many dstill didn't see the convenience bitcoin can offer to them in doing transactions, some still thinks its a scam my investment and others were just lazy to study itt or how they can earn from., some maybe were not a risky type of persons that can't invest anywhere.
Atleast you try and uses BTC for your benefit, which we all aimed for to have a fast and smooth transactions and at the same time can be a good. Investment when handled properly, only few have courage enough to buy crypto and we're good lucky since we knew it before them.

I am not the kind of guy or individual that you've said but I am here to get something out of it. I've been getting some profits from my investments and I am also looking forward to what the future of bitcoin holds. I did'nt found myself here, it is just that it is more convinient here.

I'm sorry, this sounds like some villain speech from a fiction movie 

Bitcoin community isn't some new elite that will reshape this world, it's just a group of enthusiasts and investors who all want to get rich and distrust banks to some extent, simple as that. There's nothing deeper into that anymore, the oldschool cypherpunks are now a very tiny part of Bitcoin's community.

I think the quality of Bitcoin society will always continue to be better than ever. Yes, there are still people who think Bitcoin is just an investment tool etc. . But in time, the number of this kind of people will be much less than now.

It's normal to hear those words from a person who didn't understand what is Bitcoin. They probably need more schooling from the internet or from the Bitcoin community if they ever wanted to learn more about Bitcoin and blockchain technology. It's just depressing to hear that after they were get scammed they blame it on Bitcoin–it's just that they trusted the wrong person or they probably just didn't do their research enough.

Everyone just see bitcoin differently as not all of the people in the community already know what it is or already use bitcoin. So they are going to have different opinions about it and different views. Thats quite a topic because there where just a lot of goals that Satoshi wanted why he created bitcoin technology. Another thing is we don't have information if bitcoin is made by Satoshi or if it is just a big lie and then bitcoin was make by a secret company or it could also be a country like China. For me bitcoin is not made for just an easy money but it just really different that makes it special to other currencies that's why it has a big value or demand for now.

Lol! What made you think that making bitcoin is easy? Have you ever tried? It's as difficult as fiat money. Bitcoin is not something you can earn from your laptop anymore!


Are you sure that bitcoin started with just one man? I truly believe the Satoshi Nakamoto is a name of a group of people rather than just one man. But since the identity of Satoshi is not known to anyone, we are free to imagine whatever we want. It has indeed grown into a big global community in just 11 years but I feel we have a long way to go! Welcome to Bitcointalk and I wish you all the best!

What a person likes and what a person uses does depend on some things like :
- How convenient it is ?
- What the scope ?
- Any Usage problems ?
- Is the UI smooth and easy to work with ?
- Is the government allowing it or is it illegal ? 
Etc...

There are many things that you have to take into account. Just like you cannot expect your grandparents to use high end technologies , you cannot even force people to change their opinions , nor teach them something new after a certain age if they don't want to learn in the first place.

I do believe that , whatever category one falls in it's completely natural and it's something that I think we should not question. What we can do is to teach them about bitcoins , maybe introduce them , rest will follow naturally.

This is normal, in each thing that exists in this world, we have a different perspective on it based on what we know and experiences.

So probably, bitcoin isn't easily accepted by some people for certain reasons such as scam investments that use cryptocurrency.

Even if your target is just to gain profit, you are still part of the cryptocurrency community because you use it and trade it and it's obvious that we have different agenda on using crypto.

Over time, the bitcoin society will become larger and have different values, the connection will no longer be as strong, and in general it will be more heterogeneous.

I'd rather call it the crypto community which comprises of bitcoin maximalists, shitcoin maximalists, and those in the middle. In this community, you see a lot of infighting. One group accusing the other crypto as scams and insecure. The other group counters and calls the other as old tech  

Those who view crypto as easy money are not really part of the community, they are merely passerby. Those who see crypto like bitcoin as a scam without even trying to learn do not belong here also, they're just spectators.

To begin with, we don't know whether bitcoin did start with "just one man". One of the hypothesis is that Satoshi was actually a group of people, although I think it is more unlikely.

I don't think there is a bitcoin society. What you call a bitcoin society is too vague a thing.

For me you were happy today and it hit you for writing this post but I don't see much sense in what you say.

Not all society are accepted and approved by the world, nothing ever satisfy the whole public , this means nobody can have the same view about the word BITCOIN,
To some it's an agenda to make money (easy money),to others it's another means of scam, and for other it is the future , a future which started with just one man , and has evolved into a society, The Bitcoin Society, a society that has produced great people who can stand out and defend it's goals and aims any where they find there self and will keep on producing and I am very happy and proud to be part of this great society ..
