Sounds like we need to create a wiki for the wiki section. In all seriousness though, the section has proved useful in a few situations. Such as malicious editing. Although, the same could be achieved privately, I like the fact that its open to the public to see. Admittedly I haven't browsed that section in few months.

I am not really sure why that section can still be posted in if the wiki mods won’t respond the majority of the time.

All that is really needed is the sticky thread directing people to IRC freenode and creating new threads in the section may as well be disabled.

Ahh I hadn't spotted.

Not everyone likes irc as it publishes your up to everyone and some of us has WiFi that restricts the use of vpns or tor.
I certainly can't use it for that reason and I don't see why we have a wiki section if it isn't checked, perhaps it ought to be moved to archival

Have you tried the bitcoin wiki channel on Freenode?

Admins do not regularly read this forum.

If you need to reach us, I recommend using the #bitcoin-wiki channel on freenode IRC

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
I'm looking at the bitcoin wiki and it looks like there aren't many responses there recently. A lot of threads there seem to have 0 responses and it seems to be fairly empty a lot of the time but could do with being noticed by moderators of the wiki every so often (once a week maybe enough just to check if there's anything new).
