Sad to see that your tweet complaining about Bitmex was invaded by scam bots. Elon's twitter sucks!
I thought Elon was promoting freedom of speech on X LOL

The problem is still not solved.
You did not respond to what we would like to know. Are you from a country whose residents are restricted from accessing Bitmex? Like the United States?

Most of these cases start from the users using some tainted source funds to top up their accounts.

Is the OP assured that the source of their funds in question were clean and not such?
Even if the OP assured the source of the fund is so called clean, we still can not see or verify unless he provided the input address of the transaction he made to deposit the coins. Problem here that the exchange is not disclosing any information so no one can make an informed decision.

The problem is still not solved.
Have you thought about a legal aid?

It's not any criminal or black money. I am a civil servant and I transferred the btc I bought from a legal exchange in my own country.
If your fund is clean then this way the fund should not be blocked without any kind of warning, because this exchange has been used by many forum users even me and have not faced any problem. The exchange or seller you bought bitcoins from may have given you dirty bitcoins that were blacklisted.

I don't know why they actually blocked you, since they made such a big decision, I think they have enough evidence. So contact their support team and ask them what can be the solution to this problem. It is sad that when such a large amount of funds are blocked by an exchange like this it is disappointing.

I waited too long not to write here. The customer representatives don't answer me.

It's sad that they treated you like this and blocked your funds. They don't want to disclose any details about why they decided to block your account, they should tell you if you have violated any T&C. I have never used this exchange but have heard the name of this exchange from many crypto friends as they used to use this exchange regularly. However, did your funds come from some dirty place whose addresses are already blacklisted, because they blocked your account on the grounds that you deposited funds from criminal addresses. So keep in touch with their support team if there is any way to get your funds back. It is disappointing that funds are being lost in this way.

No, it was sent from platforms that are legal in my country. I'm a civil servant.

I have used Bitmex several times in the past with no issues at all. Could you please confirm if you are from one of the Countries that is not banned from using Bitmex. Anyway, what I expect them to do is at least give you back your funds and lock your account (that is, if you did steal any funds or use any fraudulent means). That's what I have seen other exchange do.

That's what I want. I'm afraid to use it anymore.

Bitmex has no representative in our country. Hiring a lawyer can be very costly and risky.

I think thats a bullshit response. Hiring a lawyer to at least present your case and seek legal advice is not that expensive no matter where you live. You mention 1.68 BTC that was confiscated from you on the exchange - thats a lot of money! Meeting with a lawyer just to scope things out shouldnt cost much up front and  thatll help figure if its worth fighting the exchange over this.  Unless theres more to this that makes you think theres no case against them to begin with.

For now I've opened an X account and I'm trying to humiliate them, but I'm at the very beginning.

That wont help you at all, and unless you provide some hard evidence, very few people will believe your story anyway.

I'm afraid they are likely to keep their stance -- shutting you off, as it would be easy to ignore your emails.

There's the typical making noise on crypto communities since a lot of companies don't like bad publicity however, you must up your game to gain traction because a lot of contents get buried into oblivion. For instance, you could hire/ask websites and accounts with good following to boost exposure.

But honestly, with this amount at stake, it would be worth to explore what are your legal options with a lawyer.

Bitmex closed my account, won't let me withdraw money. Even though I've emailed them many times, they just say, we can't provide information. He stole 1.68 btc. If there was any fraud or I didn't follow the rules, they should make it clear.
I have been using this exchange for sometime now, I do not think they are bad exchange. Did you email the exchange customer support? What do they say that caused them to block your account?

The reason I just do not like the exchange is because that it has few coins and not supporting many chains.

Yes, I sent an email and asked why. They don't answer;

‘ Hello,

We had previously reviewed your account and regret to inform you a decision was taken to close your account due to breaches of our Terms of Service. This decision is final, and we are unable to disclose any further details related to this decision.

Your account will remain disabled and you will not be able to create other accounts in the future.
Best regards,’

I don't know what to do. It won't let me withdraw 1.68 btc.

This is a big Red flag! If an exchange is disabling your account because their own terms and conditions have been violated, they must let you know the reason. If they are not doing it, then it's a Red flag. Now the issue here is that you cannot do anything using your local legal enforcement authority.

If you have all documented proof, go ahead and open a thread in the scam acquisition section of this forum,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

But bitmax is an old exchange. So really not sure why they have closed your account and seized the funds.

Thank you, I will continue. I will make as much noise as I can.

I've seen some warnings about Bitmex, even though I've never used Bitmex, but I'm a little skeptical about Bitmex, as stated below.

At Bitmex, you're purely gambling. No matter how much you chart or do your research, if you're margin trading a very volatile asset (bitcoin) at a scammy-looking website (BitMex), there's a huge probability that one way or another, you'll lose it all completely. At BitMex, some get rich but most get poor and lose everything, never forget that there's a giant whale (Arthur Hayes) always staring at your orders and knows where your position stands:

And elsewhere I also saw warnings about Bitmex.

Topic: Are bitmex just trying to scam with their kyc policy?

For me Bitmex, messed up is not a good idea to use it.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)

Still it would not hurt to prepare a proper scam accusation and edit the post and move this to "Scam Accusations" with proper proofs of course.
