Goodbye, Z.
Cross posting from the other thread:

Sorry for your loss, but while account trades are tolerated here, they are strongly discouraged, in part because we do not enforce/broker account sales. In most cases, the original owner of the account is the legitimate owner forever as far as forum administration is concerned. (Though if we happen to come across some pretty clear evidence that an account is sold by its owner, we're not going to intentionally help the original owner scam the account back. But neither are we going to put much effort into preventing this.)

I restored Jude Austin to its original owner. I don't see any evidence for or against the original owner scamming the buyer out of 0.6 BTC. It's possible, but on the other hand the password hashes are known to have been leaked, so if Jude Austin's password was weak, it is possible for it to have been cracked.

In Collateral I Trust.

It would not have been hacked if the original owner took more care for his "beloved" account. That is something I could not have prevented.

Yes, but they are not the only person that made a mistake here. We already established that. You both fucked up, blaming each other will do nothing.
After further thought if Ltcfaucet wants to reach a compromise of 0.3BTC I will accept. If not, then I guess it is up to theymos.

One of the many  issues with buying accounts is this very issue. Theymos may/may not decide and your account is deep in red, making it worthless to sell. I would suggest a compromise on both parts.

Establishing an exchange service with one of your other accounts didn't work?
Couldn't do that from chalkboard99?

I precisely like the signature on that one "Unable to post!! Posting info soon on new account."

It doesn't matter anymore.

I will systematically destroy the value of my very own account with the sole intention to teach people to quit buying accounts.

It's people like you that fund people to do unacceptable things.

If nobody bought user accounts for the sole purpose of taking advantage of their age and or reputation then people wouldn't make a job out of taking them from people.

You wouldn't be out .6 BTC (highly doubt it) and I wouldn't be missing my precious user name.

No, I would not be out .6BTC
Now this is where I say SECURE YOUR ACCOUNT and this drama would not have happened in the first place.
I'm deleting the posts as soon as I get some available time

I think also if you will delete thm, once the original owner when will come back in possession of the account can easily ask theymos to recover all the deleted posts. For me it seems like a threat (for your error , when you bought the account).
Why would he get the account back? I paid for it, whether it was hacked or not it does not matter. Unless I get the 0.6BTC back, then I should be entitled to keeping the account until I am reimbursed.
He said himself that he makes over 1.2BTC a day, yet he can't reimburse 0.6BTC for his "beloved account"?
Rubbish

It is also your fault, yes of course it does matter... if the account was really hacked (and the original owner can prove it) then you got scammed by the hacker and you have lost 0.60 btc.

Nah.. it's not rubbish.

Thats not the point. The point is that its very likely that neither of you will get the cake and eat it as well. Meet in the middle or somewhere else you two can agree on.
I'm already going way beyond halfway for him...why?

I purchased this account when it was hero....the account value with +10 +2 trust (which is what I worked it up to from +10 +1) makes the account worth 2+BTC with the post quality, trust, posts, etc.

For one you cant have increased the rating by 10 in two weeks, thats not how the trust system works and the only positive rating from someone off DT 2 is by wardrick.

If I decided to resell the account I could have made a LOT more than I bought it for. The whole community knows this.

You cant resell it though.

As well as this, I spent 0.2BTC and then got access to the account....sent the remaining 0.4BTC and then poof, he was gone.

I would have used an escrow, though escrows here mark accounts when they are sold. Which in itself is a huge issue.

Never heard of a less convincing reason to not use escrow.

Just a heads up, dont look for theymos for a solution. The last issue similar to this took 6 months to resolve.

#1 Jude is the original owner.
#2 the new owner paid 0.6 BTC for the account.
#3 Jude can not proof that they did not sell the account themselves.

I will suggest what I suggest last time, meet in the middle, share the loss, as -again- you both are to blame.

The new owner did not properly check that they indeed dealt with the original owner.
The original owner did not properly secure the account.
No, I do not believe I am to blame and here is why...

1. when I purchased the account, who ever was in possession promised the PRIVATE KEY so that the account could not be recovered
2. once the whole .6BTC was sent, I waited for the private key and never received it

A signed message can be provided in advance, I would have expected you to ask for one given the high amount of btc you paid.

I do not think I could have done anything else to prevent this from happening. I believe it is 100% "Jude Austin's" fault since they did not properly secure their account and now we are both in a loss, with a scammer 0.6BTC in his hands.

I am not giving up the account unless:
A. We both agree to delete all content on it
B. I am reimbursed 0.6BTC

That is fair, I don't see why option A. is such a problem since only a few posts ago he said that it was not the account he wanted, just wanted to protect his reputation.

I dont know about option A, but B is apparently shifting all the blame to original owner and none to you. Its not an agreement or a meeting in the middle, its that you get what you want.
Describe how in any way I am to blame for this?

You failed to properly check that you dealt with the original owner. You fell for the "I will give you later".

For keeping the account in good standing for 2 weeks after 'purchase' and now have to deal with this rubbish?
Sorry but most account sales here, especially for an account of this quality, usually do not last 1 week before they start scamming or taking peoples BTC. I think some credit needs to be given where it is due here that I have done the right thing and continue to do the right thing by cooperating with this member.
I do not see why I should receive any blame for this matter when all I have done is try to cooperate.

Thats not the point. The point is that its very likely that neither of you will get the cake and eat it as well. Meet in the middle or somewhere else you two can agree on.

Not to mention in a previous response to me calling you out you said you have been a member for years, now you are saying you've only had this account for two weeks?

I don't know how much more I need to do to get my account back but this should suffice:
Send a PM to theymos with the signaed message , the link where the post was posted/quoted(at least an year, considering the rank of the account) and the account profile. Theymos does recover hacked accounts but might not do so/take a long time because of the drama.

I have sent Theymos the information.

Now just playing the waiting game, this sucks!

It's 2AM here, I need to go to sleep.

Hopefully when I wake up this will be resolved and I can contact the people this person has been doing business with and clear my name (literally).

Have a good night!

I will be sending a message to theymos with all login information + proof that I purchased this account, and requesting a closure/ban/nuke of it. Scammer.

You're hilarious, do what you want, I will be happy that you aren't dragging my name through the dirt!

Good night!
I never had any intention of dragging anyones name in the dirt hence I haven't committed any wrong doing in the 2 weeks i've owned this account..
if I had any bad intentions don't you think I could have finished by now?

Buddy, then return what is mine, that's all I am asking.

I didn't scam you, I got my account stolen, and they sold it to you, I am very sorry about this.

You should have told me from the very beginning that you bought the account from someone and I would have compensated you to get it back.

But you responded in a very scammer-ish way and like I said before, I will not compensate you.

Why on Earth would I sell an account that I have had for years using my REAL NAME?

more than happy to give access to the skype account as well as the account that original set up the deal on bitcointalk if that is asked of me. I have no bad intentions, as stated earlier.
while I am still willing to prove this, I think the best course of action is to scrap this account to prevent it going into the wrong hands. If the previous owner scammed me for 0.6BTC what's not to say he won't do the same to anyone else?
I think it's best someone else takes control of this account, I think contacting shorena for his 'account deletion' service is the best course of action. I will suffer the 0.6btc loss as i have nearly made it back through the exchange service alone. so it is not much of a burden for me.
Well firstly its not proven that the previous owner did scam you, or just was a hacker who took advantage of you. Secondly, who exactly was the person you bought the account from? Which account did you use before this one? And can you give control of that account to have a look at the PM logs? Lastly, shorena's SAD service is long since closed, and he would take a fee for it if it was not, which'd be quite high for this one.

Well I had a hunch that you are not the original account. One thing that I do not understand however, why does the pass change not show up on the seclog considering its just been 2 weeks since you bought the account.

And who did you buy the account from? And are you willing to give login access to a trusted member to see the PM log is still available?

If you truly had no bad intentions then you would have created a brand new account and built up your own reputation as a "legitimate" exchange.

If you truly had no bad intentions then you would give the account back to it's rightful owner. (ME)

I have already proven that I am the owner of the account.

If you truly purchased this account there would be more than one password change recently, there would be two, one from the person who sold it, and one from you for changing the password from the person who sold it.

If you really are a decent person then please give me my account back.

I did not sell my account, it was stolen, I have no reason to sell the account that I have had for years.

If the account hacker is the btcsprout guy then you can out him, screw up his ponzi because people probably won't deposit to it anymore because he is caught for hacking accounts. But then all the ponzi investors loose there money anyway.

And just because you out the hacker as the ponzi operator does not mean that it is going to STOP him from hacking accounts..

How can the account hacks be STOPPED? Is this another case where a lot of accounts got hacked a while ago and they are slowly trickling out? Or are these accounts being hacked one by one currently even now?

I can't imagine being able to brute force the passwords with the 45 second delay and you would think admin would see that happening in time or something..

What do you think is going on with this?

Eddie13,

It's my fault it got hacked, I never changed my password after several attacks on BTCTalk, even when BTCTalk said to change the password.

I was also using an old iCloud account for the email address that I never, ever, pay attention to.

I was also just in China, highly doubt that has to do with this, but it's always a possibility.

If Wardrick confirms that transaction and I get my account back I will gather the information and make a post from this account and Jude Austin.

I am sorry for anyone who falls victim to any bad behavior while this person takes advantage of my Jude Austin account.

Does that mean that the account hacker and the ponzi btcsprout are connected? As in the same person behind both?
If Wardrick confirms, that this is indeed the transaction relating to the exchange with the Jude Austin account, yes, that is what I am implying.
I can also connect a few more bitcointalk accounts to those addresses, but I haven't got the time right now to post all the connections properly.

Could you yet again confirm, that you had no control over your account from the January 22nd foreward?

Because this is getting interesting. The new "owner" had a sucessful trade with Wardrick on the 28th.
From the risked amount in his feedback (0.12btc), the date and Wardricks known addresses (had an exchange with him myself shortly later), I believe this is the related transaction.
Funds come from 13QZqN9KQQZhs2VNfgNUzw4DWW4Pn31uwJ, an address which is part of a fairly large wallet.

For example, it is connected to the address 1BSPTMigMqYsjm3rn6Fu76DNADcuaEUR8G via this transaction.

Already posted above:
If you check OP, it's an fairly old account "November 13, 2012, 02:34:34 AM",
he started with that one here, then changed to "Jude Austin", which is presumably his real name, and became Legendary with that account.

You should sign from the following if possible. This is the oldest address provided.
1PoXwtXNP5xTbQEvYiARNBjRAEQa55UTPN

It comes from the following posting of 2013.
Sorry about that, no harm intended.
You can send the .2 here when ready: 1PoXwtXNP5xTbQEvYiARNBjRAEQa55UTPN
I am still waiting to receive the program via email.
The BTC-E account is already setup and has 1 Bitcoin in it for testing purposes.
I will probably run the program on the default settings.
I will post pictures here of everything.

In addition, this thread should be moved to the Scam Accusation Thread.

I think he was able to change the avatar but I will load up my wallet with the vanity address I made and see if it's the same.
You can even look through post history and see that his typing is not the same, punctuation, line spacing, etc.
I am really pissed, not about the account as much as him scamming people using my name!

He staked the address on 28th January.
surprised I never stumbled across this. Extra security never hurts:

Try one of the two I posted above. 13z6QBRonVohHfuNL7Bf55Ado94cMsbNhU or 1dP6ckGUJXWMM3ib277gNyvUd9gkgzqfC, if you still got access to one of them.

I will see if I still have access.

I just made a post on the FireFlyCoin page posting an issue to the FireFlyCoin GitHub account:
https://github.com/FireFlyCoin/FireFlyCoin/issues/8

Ugh, how!!!

That one is probably an exchange address, right?

How about this one:

hee-ho.
if this is true then you should sign a message from an old address that was posted here. I doubt many would believe you without that or some vouch from well trusted users.

and spamming will get you nowhere. just saying in case you're planning to make more of those posts.
