Maybe this is a new frontier that's been brewing on for years. Cyber war. Its really has started now and it is found to be a very effective tool both offensively and defensively. It has disrupted 2 major elections now. US and now France. We may choose to ignore it, but it seems Russia is in the forefront of such kind of activity.

Putin is still not understood that wherever glimpsed his name is a signal to the fact that all civilized countries will choose the opposite direction. Actually Putin doesn't care much about France. That nation is not even sovereign. They are a vassal state of Angela Merkel's Germany. So even if Macron wins, Putin will ignore him.

I was quite surprise why hackers targeted Macron. Are they afraid that he will win this election? And the data leaked or hacked occurred when polls predicted Macron was on a comfortable victory over Le Pen. Do they think that the vote will swing to Le Pen favors in those data leaked will go public specially on the eve of election? France is the latest victim of this so called hacking. US intelligence agencies points to Russian President Vladimir Putin ordering the hacking of parties tied to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to influence the election on behalf of Republican Donald Trump. So maybe this is again at attempt to change the complexion of the election if France because this election is seen as the most important in France for decades, with two opposing views of Europe and the country's place in the world at stake.

So should we say it was Russia that did these hacks or blame the FBI to throw in some American references to why Hillary lost.
That said it looks like hackers don't want Macron to win so they are doing a reveal now a few days before the election whether it will work or not is another question.

I think that Macron will be very susceptible to hacker attacks. We all know that he is having some strange fetishes. For example, when he was 15, his girlfriend was aged 40. I wouldn't be too surprised if some hacker publishes a video showing Macron indulging in homosexual acts or bestiality.
