The internet is dependent on how one utilizes it; with so many options available, whether it makes someone lazy or not, it is ultimately up to the user. The internet is merely a tool that facilitates the completion of a task. What used to be a time-consuming task of writing on paper is now simple to type.

it all depends on ourselves, the internet does not make us lazy to buy and sell, but the internet makes it easy for us to buy and sell ''
it all depends on the situation and circumstances,
If the situation doesn't allow us to leave, then the internet will definitely be the solution ...
but if the situation is ok ,, we will definitely go out and find out for ourselves what we want to buy ..
Also we cannot discard the pandemic for what it is happening, many of my family members have probably never made a purchase online before and they preferred to go to the stores arguing that it was way better to take an actual look at the product you wanted to buy before you did, and they had a point but with the advent of the pandemic they could not do this and now they understand the practicality of making purchases online and now that is their preferred method to buy everything they need.

The way things were done in the past have changed from what it is. In the area of buying and sell especially, you can stay in your house and do all your shopping all because of the availability of the internet. Before this time, the internet was majorly used for sending of email and other short and non elaborate internet activities but all that has changed to real marketing online.
This has changed the economic system in no small extent that people prefer not to go to the market physically but go stay back home and in there comfort do the buying and selling.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
Like they say, technology saves time and effort. The internet has only made things easier for us, and I wouldn't say that is being lazy. Anyone who is lazy is always going to be lazy, whether there is internet or no internet. Someone who is not lazy is always going to use the extra time to get to do other activities that they have to do. For example, let's say that you go to work and work 9 to 5, and then you have to go to the market, cook food, and also wash clothes by 6pm.

Instead of going to the market and wasting your whole time buying foodstuffs or making grocery shopping, you can just do all that online and have it delivered to your house. While that's being done, you can use that time to do your laundry, and by the time you're done with laundry your order online has arrived and you just go straight into cooking. By doing that you have saved time for yourself. So the internet doesn't make you lazy, it's just saving your time and effort.
Nice example, the lazy will always find an excuse to not do things, lets use washing your clothes as an example, before the invention of the washing machine washing clothes was a very time consuming activity, so if you wanted clean clothes you had to go through a huge effort, then the washing machine was invented but this was before electricity so you actually had to activate the machine manually but it was way easier than before and yet the lazy refused to wash their clothes as needed, now washing clothes is so easy that you only need to push a button and yet the lazy refuse to do it so technology is not at fault here.

It is all about comfort and security and safety these days. Time is Money .. they say, so people are pushing themselves to the edge to make more money and they need to save some time to do that. Why should you drive to a Mall to buy groceries every week, if you can get it delivered.

People can get into accidents or they might even be robbed... so why not pick a bunch of stuff from a online catalog and then have it delivered to the safety of your home. Look at some of the streamers (Twitch) going at it for hours and even ordering food whilst they are online... (Everyone want to be rich.... as if that is the most important thing in the world.... being healthy is worth a lot more)  Wink

Yes, it may be the case that people become more lazy with the use of the Internet.
But in others not, when your lifestyle is active like shopping, going to the gym, hairdressing and other activities, you use the internet as your source of work and you don't get lazy.
You are only moving your workplace to home as an example the business of virtual stores or the business of the electronic market.

Ofcourse...
I believe that someone who also spends a lot of time on the internet doing important/useful good work without enough physical activity can't be considered lazy. Useful good works = works that solve important problems or work that are useful or potentially useful to people/society.

If you could discuss a problem and get people to provide useful/safe solutions to the problem, and you get a scoring system to score participants based on list of good rules/standards that must be followed... If you have participates that aren't breaking the rules while providing useful solutions to the problem, the participants are doing useful things on the internet, hence don't qualify being called lazy as frequent/less-mobile internet users... compare to spending alot of time on the internet solving problems while breaking the good rules or not solving atall to avoid breaking the rules.

Nevertheless, people who spend alot of time on the internet without enough physical movements, need to have occasional breaks daily to do some physical work... Could be house choir or other work that involves exercising the body while solving problems around us.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
No, the internet is just saving our time and it is up to us how we utilize that extra time. If you are getting lazy it is because you don't care about your health. It is similar to whether we should use car or walk because cars are making us lazy but people who are smart will spend one hour in the gym to get even better health than six hours of walking.

I agree that depending on how everyone's lifestyle is, not everyone becomes lazy because of the internet. But technological advances are supposed
to make our lives more effective and efficient. We must care about our own health, although now we can buy anything online. It's not that we don't
exercise at all, there are many ways we can exercise at home to keep our bodies healthy.

Changes are happening because of evolution of internet everywhere and not just in buying and selling habits. For example, my bank removes need of papers for availing services from them and I am able to availability of corona vaccine in my town and everything. But, criticizing easy availability of internet for other human errors, may not be a right thing to do.

This use for internet or online services have increased in this pandemic time when population is locked in thie homes due to vast spread of virus. When you can items delivered at your doorstep why waste your time, efforts and money in travelling and shopping.Actually most people tend to save time and utilise it for some other useful purpose which is more important. So they can manage two things at same time.Technology always comes up with pros and cons but it is totally on ourselves how we perceive it and make use of it.We are dependent on internet these days and future digitalization is completely based on internet usage and you can't blame technology for it.

With the advent of modern technology the accustomed way of living we have been since we were young come into a fast phase of changes wherein it seems to be more likely things becomes digital in a sense that things can be already done with a snap of a finger. The existence of internet is not duly making us lazy it is just that our lifestyle becomes dependent on what we think can make things work fast and that is why we ought to just make things that way. The society is adapting into the modern changes affecting how things used to be done in the past. Maybe it is because of modernization and other factors related and can affect the situation.

Everybody wants an easy life and if one can afford such there is nothing stopping. The internet gave room for a lot of opportunities like job Availability and connectivity with people. As the world is revolving we are also being socialized and do this with technology availability.
technology can indeed provide convenience and make life more comfortable. do not forget to control yourself, relying too much on technology is also not good, can be trapped in laziness.
btw, technology does change a lot of things. not only about lifestyle, but also about the economy and jobs. now many people can work from home, and clients come from all over the world, now working does not have to come to the office. just like shopping, we can do it from home and only by using a cell phone.
we must adapt to these changes, take what is useful, and as best as possible avoid its negative effects.

There is a saying "Laziness is the engine of progress!" Probably there is a part of the truth in it - lead almost all technologies in the end SIMPLIFIED human life. From the wheel, which simplified a huge number of processes, to computers, which extremely simplified calculations at first and then automate a huge number of processes that we could not even dream of! So, yes, laziness is the engine of progress! Smiley
I do like the quote but I think that we didn't become lazy over the years, more like we need more so I would propose that the best quote for this one is that "Necessity is the mother of invention". It's a matter of perspective, we needed to travel faster so we invented the wheel, we need to calculate in inhuman pace so we invented computer.
This, our technology allows us to do things that we never thought before and this was done because a person or group of persons had an specific need and they solved that problem with the invention of technology which eventually found its way to us because of how useful it actually was, now if people use that technology to be lazy that is completely different but technology it is there to be exploited to the maximum of our capabilities, an example of this is the Internet, we have almost all the knowledge of the world at out fingertips, it is not the fault of the Internet that most people use it to see videos on YouTube and to post personal information on social media.

If laze is also meant in the sense that people move less, then it is obviously true! There are health reports that people today more often got trouble with their joints like hips and knees or their spine because they don't move enough. All the work is happening in the office and they don't move their bodies sufficiently. Everybody knows these days where your knees are stiff after sitting 9 hours at your desk.

I don't think is, for some they thought of it as form of laziness but for some or majority of it is taking it as means of keeping them safe specially now that we are battling an unseen enemies- the virus, so people tend to do those online shopping and marketing instead of going out into the mall and market physically, and they find it more convenient and less hassle although we still need to be very careful in choosing what and where to buy to avoid being scammed.

I don't think there is any problem with shopping online because it saves your time and energy and it also creates a more competitive market because you don't have to bargain at a local store and there is no discrepancy in prices. It hurts to buy the same product for a higher price just because someone else was able to bargain better than me Grin.

Internet doesn't make people lazy, it just make everything a lot more convenient, and of course more efficient. We don't need to do many efforts again to sell or buy things, we can do it in one click all thanks to the internet. In fact, it's good too for the economic, we can do anything from anywhere with internet, and it will erase the distance problem, and many other problem that will make people prevent buying. It becomes a lot easier, and of course the supply and demand chain will rise even more, people can make money easily with internet, and can spend money easily too thanks to the internet. Sure, internet really affects the economic, in good way, although there might be bad effect as well such as scams and others.

Internet doesn't make us lazy, it depends on whether we're gonna rely on it totally and end up as a lazy person. Not all of the things we do in life could be done by the internet, internet just helps us in some works especially if it is gonna take more time and you have something to do, like buying a food, asking for some services at home etc.

As we develop our community, we need revolution as well in technology to sustain what we need in our everyday living, if you know what I mean.

It makes those laze who tend to be lazy anyway. For those who carry a lot of motivation within them the internet is dream come true. You can start websites, build stores, read stuff and learn stuff for free in endless amounts, you can trade while analyzing markets. There is a lot you could do that keeps you from being lazy actually.

Yes, but that's just an avoidable side effect. Shopping online helps you save money instead of going to a physical store in person. I once learned that there are tricks that can make customers shop for more items (including unnecessary items) when they come to a physical store.

From the seller's point of view, it is very clear that E-commerce increases competitiveness which of course is not a place for slackers. You can find out some things from your competitors just visiting their online store.
I first heard that online shopping helps us save more while the fact that I am seeing for everyone around is the opposite, we are mostly shopping more with the effect of the internet and sellers are also getting stronger looking for an opportunity to gain a presence in the marketplace. Buying directly at the stores would be a hassle during the shipping process and having to regularly synthesize everything needed to buy in one purchase, online simplifies shipping process, a full range of products, shopping will take place more than a real store
The process of buying online is without a doubt faster and most likely exactly what you want is on stock unlike what happens in a a real store but we cannot say that the delivery is faster, when you buy a product in a real store even if it takes you hours to find what you want you at least get the product immediately while when you buy online at best you get the product the next day and you have to always be on watch as you do not want to miss your delivery.

On the one hand, laziness is indeed the engine of progress, but on the other hand, in the case of online commerce, we can still talk about reducing costs as a huge incentive for both sellers and buyers, because if there is an opportunity to save money, then in most cases it can well overcome laziness Wink The advent of the Internet and its subsequent development, of course, did not and will not destroy offline trading, but it allows you to take a significant market share due to the combination of convenience and the opportunity to save money for the buyer, and not laziness can play a major role.

This example is rather an "exception to the rule", or even a necessary measure. It's just that there are other options for some of them to buy what they need, while others do not sell, well, or at least they are less convenient. Although in the very concept of online commerce, in addition to economic benefits (by reducing overhead costs for maintaining retail space, staff, warehouses, logistics, etc.), there is also a bit of "laziness" - too lazy to go to the store, let me be brought, I'll see bye tv Smiley
And it turns out that almost all "lazy" technologies, in fact, are convenient, save time and effort.

I think this depends for the type of person. Some people with definitely become more lazy and do everything from home. But for others the weekly walk to the supermarket or other shops is mandatory. If I look at my grand mother, she knows all the employees there by name. For her it is not only about buying but also about communicating with people there. Even on the way she can look what the neighbors are doing. Probably a lot of elderly people feel similar about going shoping in person.

This is new trend, we can avoid it. I think internet has been helped us to make our live easier. We can cut our expenses when you want to buy an item, if you compare it to the previous trend where when you want to buy something you have to come directly to the store that has the item you want, but with an online shop you can see and choose the item you want without have to incur any costs. Also, internet has been helped us to simplify what you want, suppose you have the intention to become a trader and you do not have land to become a shop, but with an online shop you don't need to have a land, most importantly you are ready to trade and you are ready to start.

We cannot say the internet is making one lazy if you talked about that what technology as a whole. For you having a washing machine, dishwashers and various electronics just for your comfort and easy way of life are we going to call all this Lazy. The Internet makes commercial business and all way easier for both sellers and traders. Though there are still some things you will prefer to see in the physical market if you don't want to regret your actions.
Technology does not make people lazy it just allows them to free more time and do what they want with it, if a person is already lazy then they will do nothing but for the ones that like to do stuff in their lives then technology is going to save them time and they will become more productive, think about how difficult it was to create a fire before and now you can just turn your stove and it takes you only one second to do it, this has allowed the time that you needed before to use to create a fire to be used in something more useful and that is a good thing.

Only buy and selling in internet i don't think it can be considered a lazy thing. Because internet can make us buy thing from far away. And until now i still believe people if the store is near, they will buy at store. In my country, store still have a lot of customer. Maybe who order online is who rich and too busy to do that. That is why i am not really agree if buying and selling online can make people to be lazy.

The application of the internet to business and goods exchange has been improved more and more and shortened the time for work. Instead of doing everything manually, we can do more transactions. That also means saving you time and money. If you say internet business is lazy, then you are probably wrong. I have seen many people get rich by doing business on social networking sites.

In addition, doing business on the internet also helps create jobs for other groups of people. for example advertisers, delivery staff, packaging staff ...

I think the internet has changed people's habits in economic activities and they benefit people.
Internet applications make people lazy is a correct observation, but overall, the Internet is more beneficial.
The Internet helps us connect the world, change the form of entertainment, work and shopping. We have more tech businesses and they help people. During this pandemic, we used the Internet effectively. Without the Internet, our lives can be extremely busy doing things the traditional way.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
Do you have any statistics related to obesity or heart disease or high pressures kind of things due to being lazy for the younger generation of people who are more into internet usage? If any study is indicating like that then we can start worrying about that otherwise I do see internet is helping people to shop with the comfort of staying within home. They will save time and money required to reach shopping mall and spending long hours to pay bills etc.

This way I guess internet is helping to build economy of a country. I agree there are lots of changes had happened with people due to internet which might have both pros and cons as well. But, we cannot ignore the importance of having high speed internet and its facility to shop from home during the times of pandemic.

It is not because we are just sitting at our home and just clicking and clicking on the keyboard or clicking our phone, it doesn't mean that we are lazy, it just makes our life easier, it is also not an easy thing because you will spend a lot of time for it.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

I do not think the internet is making people lazy.  The internet brings lot of innovations.  With it, we can work from home, order from home, plan from home and during the pandemic it connects people from home.  It maximizes the time for everyone thus doing more things than being idle.  Just for example, working from home avoids being idle during transportation.  So time consumed in transportation can be used to do other things.  And I honestly believe that there is no lazy people, it is just a matter of doing what is his interest so it is subjective.

The internet has made almost everything in the world easier technology has improved the world a lot. Entertainment and social engagement have emerged as the main attractions of the internet to users social media like facebook and twitter are booming many are using the internet just to play games messaging apps are becoming popular because people are now more interested in connecting with each other in the virtual world. People enjoy watching videos on youtube or spreading self-made videos on tickets online shopping on the internet has changed a lot.
The reason why social media became more popular than anything else is the fact that it is free, and those companies collect your data and sell it while you are being the product. Obviously this has been said a million times but other companies are doing fine as well. Look at Amazon, it is a company that both sells something themselves and they also manage to handle others sales as well and it is not a free use thing, it is a market and they became the biggest one as well.

So long story short we are talking about something that is arguable and yet even we say that social media became huge, that is not only because people can talk with each other and interact with people all around the world, but it is also because it is free. Make instagram $99 to start an account and you will see how tiny it would have been and never would became this big so it is the free charge that became big there.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
No. Those who wish to be lazy will always be lazy and those who want to be active will be active no matter what happens outside.

Technology helps mankind, that is the important part. However the statement applies more to the 1st and 2nd world countries. In many less developed nations they are still struggling to get a proper working 4G network let alone go with ordering things online. Though E-commerce sites are targeting them and trying to get things improved, progress is slow.

Now to get groceries, one who is diligent will skim through markets to see which one is least costly and by default the online ones will be more costly after their promotional periods run out. So things will change outside and people will also change. You can help it if your country brings in a lockdown on cities and you have to keep yourself indoors.

Also I dont see how this improved crypto acceptance at all. Not a single country has been lenient about allowing crypto neither are they talking steps to allow users to spend it, rather they are talking about persecuting those who already use it.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

Let me not go too far with this and give you an awesome example nearby me. Here in India, we have Dalal Street.

There, the people used to deal with each other through signs (via their hands and fingers to determine how much they are buying or selling for which stock). Then came the online share trading platform, which increased a lot of convenience for those standing in huge crowd now able to do the same thing with a lot more advanced features from the comfort of their home. If internet wasn't there, how would that become possible? Just think.

This is called progress, development Smiley This is a modification of the existing market, taking into account the current characteristics, trends and technologies. Now I almost do not go to the markets - it is easier for me to order in the networks I know, the products I know, and they will bring me home from, or where I need them. At the same time, I will not waste TIME and will take fuel for the car for the trip, this will compensate the cost of delivery. And I also have bonuses, promos and so on, which makes the final price even more profitable!
Living in Europe, I buy socks in the USA without trying them on, at a competitive price, with the pattern I want! And it is beneficial and convenient for me!
I mean business through a mobile phone, make payments for all services, manage finances, home security. I communicate through the phone with friends who live 10,000 km away!
Try to travel back 20-30 years and imagine what people would think of you if you told people all this? Smiley
This is progress, it will be even more interesting further!

There's a fine line between laziness and convenience IMO. Most are using online shopping services because it's more convenient and not time consuming as opposed to going to a physical store and looking for that certain item, only to realize that it's out of stock. Also, with the current situation that we are in, it's infinitely better to do your shopping online on trusted stores than to risk contracting COVID while trying to buy an item that you need/want. A lot of things really changed on the advent of the internet, and most of it thankfully are beneficial more than they are harmful to the ways of humans.

For you having a washing machine, dishwashers and various electronics just for your comfort and easy way of life are we going to call all this Lazy. The Internet makes commercial business and all way easier for both sellers and traders. Though there are still some things you will prefer to see in the physical market if you don't want to regret your actions.

That's  part of things I don't really like doing on the internet... I mean constantly exposing your private info and things you buy on the internet to online stores (and people) who would end up knowing where you live. That's is alot of sensitive information to expose to people you don't know much about. It's abit strange that societies allowed this.
I think a proper decentralized p2p cryptocurrency with privacy/anonymity features could help in this regards without compromising on the security of a society.
The sad thing about data privacy online is that we don't arrive at a compromise that will satisfy both the users and the companies. You are right about decentralization but the problem that I see with it is that companies are able to get in to it and make their own rules.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

If you say that the internet is at home and just lie there without doing anything outside the house, it is not healthy for you. Indeed the internet makes things instant until everyone just lives at home. This makes humans unhealthy because they don't do activities such as walking to the market. Even though you can exercise in the house but breathing the fresh air in the morning is better. But that's the development of the times we feel, like it or not, with all of this you have to follow it. Maybe if the earth could still survive, everything would be done digitally without any movement in everyone's chair or bed. Pathetic.
It all depends on the upbringing of a person and his personal qualities, which affect the perception of the environment and the way in which a person builds his life and what goals in life he is trying to achieve. there is a category of people who live on welfare, order pizza with the help of a messenger and spend the whole day in front of a TV or computer. And there are People for whom the Internet, as well as other high technologies of the modern world, provide vast opportunities for realizing their goals.

So is this all a good thing in your opinion? or it becomes a poison that will kill many people later. Everyone will be lazy to move and do activities with this person. But is there anything to do with the virus that comes at this time? These are the two things that make up the benefits and drawbacks of the internet. You should be grateful because there are still people in this world who cannot play the internet or have the technology to talk to other people.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
technological developments often bring two opposing things: 1. effectiveness in living, 2. making people comfortable with the help of technology so that they seem "lazy"

Yet the reality is not like that. although we also have to control ourselves so as not to be too dependent on comfort, we must have self control. technological developments are created to facilitate human activities, to make things more effective, not to make them "lazy". if there is an easy one, why should you choose a difficult one?

and the development of the internet has brought about major changes, including in terms of economy and lifestyle. work now does not have to be done in the office, even only from home and using t-shirts, we can do the job.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

As the size of the human population grows, new methods must be devised to boost productivity, transportation and efficiency to sustain growing demand for food, water, goods, living space and other necessities.

Gains in productivity and efficiency translate to less specialized skillsets and intelligence being necessary for survival. Over time challenges and obstacles which were historically difficult and non trivial become more geared to so-easy-a-caveman-could-do-it formats.

There are definitely avenues in which our growing technology influences our culture that are not being widely acknowledged. In the past, someone would have to read books to develop a good knowledge base. Today they need only visit google and do a keyword search to try to educate themselves on topics, they know little or nothing about. The game has definitely changed. And who knows what the long term implications might be.

In my opinion, the internet does not make people lazy to go shopping or buying and selling activities, it can make it easier for everyone. Many use internet features for business purposes, in the modern era like now, if you can't use the internet, it will actually make someone feel useless because you can't feel the benefits of this technological sophistication.

^ I don’t think that the internet should be taken negatively as making people lazy because it is not.
I myself can guarantee that I will probably have been a drug addict or an unemployed parasite if I have not learned how to take advantage of the internet.
Internet is indeed changing the way of buying and selling. But it is actually a good one. Imagine there is a lot of people being employed because of that delivery platform? People can also protect themselves from being outdoors and be committed to an unwanted and unsafe crowd just to buy their stuff. So I don’t see any point in having the internet considered as negative.

The internet greatly affects how the economy of a society is. keep in mind that the internet is very fast at spreading information. from this information if the public receives it well, the internet will affect it. for example how to dress, type of car, drugs. it all depends on community members on whether to be creative or lazy.

Yep, I agree with you mate. Internet doesn't make people lazy in fact it helps people in daily lives. For example sending email, we can send and receive immediately the message unlike when there is no internet it takes days before we receive the letter. Internet helps us to reconnect to our loved ones far from us. Also, we can buy online all the stuff that we need inside the comfort of our home and doesn't need to gou out which is very helpful in these days (pandemic). And about muscle memory I've read online that's the something bluish light came from our screen  makes us awake and stay longer in our screen. It's also the reason why most of the app are color blue. I am strong believer that internet help us a lot to make our life easier and better esp. buying online and selling. It makes people life easier, it gives people job they earn money and make feed their family, it helps the small businesses.

It is not about being lazy this is about being more efficient, before the pandemic I preferred most of my purchases to be done in a physical store as it was important for me to not wait for delivery and get my product immediately, but with the pandemic and the desire to avoid exposing myself I had no option but to rely on online purchases to do this and now even if the pandemic is slowly subsiding I think I am going to keep going this route as it is simply more efficient.

The advent of the Internet made the world change. In the past, people who wanted to shop for anything had to go directly to markets, shops, and supermarkets. Now in the modern age - the era of technology 4.0, just stay at home with a phone or computer connected to the Internet to buy everything you need. It saves you time. So online business is very developed. Society now only needs money to shop at home.
I agree with you on that. People keep talking about "small business dying" because of internet as well, but in reality any business that can go online could actually survive very well and that is a good thing. Almost anyone can start an online shop these days which means anyone could make money. My spouse sold some glass paintings they made, even though they sold like 10-15 of them and not much but that was something they could never even imagine if they wanted to in any other case, that is the good part and that is why I like it so much.

Internet brought the world to our home, we can live in Australia and sell something to Germany and that type of power is not something you could have in the shop around the corner. It is not making people lazy, on contrary it is making people work harder and harder because they see success on the internet business and join themselves.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
The internet is not making you lazy, it’s up to you on whether you’re going to be lazy or not. It’s just the same with most things that we have these days, they are made to help make life easier, but bad people are always looking for ways to misuse them for the wrong purpose. So in the case of whether internet is making us lazy in terms of what buying and selling has changed to, I would say No, because it’s actually providing us with more time to get things done.

There are a lot of us that are very busy that we need more time to either work or carry out some other activities, and now we can get that extra time, instead of running out to go to the market , we can now make the orders of all the things that we need from online stores and have it delivered to our doorsteps, and by doing that we have saved time and accomplished more.

One of my professor once told me about one of the essence of research and it was for the convenience of everyone. Knowing that internet and technology are fruits of millions or billions of research just to make it effective, we can already say that the internet offers convenience and revolution towards our old ways. At some point, we can say that the internet makes us lazy but we can reason it out through showing how easier things can be done with the help of the internet so why struggle on an old-school way. We don't need to get stuck and do things with struggle just because we find internet as a tool that makes us lazy, we are free to enjoy the outcome of the researches made beforehand.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

You're absolutely right about this. In the past, when the potentials of the internet has not been explored, it could only be used to send emails and not do so many things. Now, with time, we have been able to stay in the comfort of our home and shop for goods. Does this make us lazy? I'd say no. Why should we stick to the old method of doing things if there's a better way? Why should we stress ourselves if there's a way that provides comfort.
Truth be told , the full potentials of the internet has not yet been tapped and you'd be amazed at what the internet could be used for. The recent one is the development of a better monetary system by the use of the Blockchain Technology.  You'd see more, believe me you.

To be specific, the transaction of money from one state to the other or to different location has changed because you can now stay in the city and wire money through different means to your loved ones. You don't really need to go through rigour and accident misfortune to do all that anymore. Also , the stores are now getting lesser congestion because people making request from internet.

No. The internet just simply gives you another option in buying things. In my country, both physical and online shopping is surprisingly popular. This does not make people lazy but instead, increases the income of sellers by the rise of purchasing power. Actually, people were lazy before we have the Internet. Therefore, the economy benefits a lot from the Internet

In fact, some people become lazy cause of the internet but on the other hand, others become smarter, more flexible, more productive thanks to the digital world. Everything has 2 sides. It always depended on an individual, whether he is born lazy

if what you mean by lazy is people refraining from buying things in physical store then maybe, but in my dictionary that's not lazy, that's just being smart and efficient. guess what, time and energy better spent on something else like hobby, etc.
no need to travel few hours just to get things, not to mention internet also allow us to get more options.

The aim of technology is convenience after all so I think that there isn't any change because it was the aim in the first place. I would say that Internet make almost half of the people lazy but not all of them because I believe that it is the person's decision to be lazy and not the technology being provided.

why does it have to be laziness and not convenience while giving you your time back, the time that you would have wasted going to the store, staying in line and buying what you are buying online now.
technology has always been created to make our lives easier, as long as people don't drown in consumerism culture they would be fine.

For old people who has experience of buying things physically, technology gives convenience but for new generation that born on this new era, I believe this will cause laziness to them. Kids nowadays are very techy and don't know the basics, Once they feel any inconvenience, They will just leave it and mock. So the effect of this kind of setup will be experience on the next generation.

Judging from most of my surroundings - yes, the Internet has made people extremely lazy (physically). Up to the point when the person is lazy enough to go to the grocery store, which is in the same house he lives in! Instead, he chooses and orders food online.

On the other hand, Internet has also opened opportunities for other sorts of work, which resulted in people working and studying even more, than they used to in the past. For instance, years ago people would come home from work and relax, watch TV, play cards, or whatever. Nowadays, I know many people that occupy 2-3 jobs and work around the clock, and sometimes carry out many tasks simultaneously, all due to the opportunity of working online.

So it all depends on the person, as always. Someone spends all the time on social media and degrading and someone uses the Internet as an unlimited source of knowledge and opportunities.

The existence of the internet and electronics as a whole is an alternative and trading business selling/buying for now, of course, will make it easier for both parties to make buying/selling transactions.

But all of this has a positive and negative impact on the reality that many consumers feel.
Example:
• products that do not match what was expected with product quality that do not match the actual price there are also various purchase frauds that do not arrive and so on.

For that buying / selling transactions online, of course, makes it easier for the economy in general, the main thing is when making online transactions you are more careful in buying/selling to avoid things that can be detrimental to one party.

The internet has changed society in a lot of ways, but I think being lazy is not one of them. In terms of commerce I think society has changed in two major ways:

1) People have become more demanding regarding the offered range of products: Back in brick and mortar times one would simply buy what was available, no questions asked. Nowadays customer expect a much wider range of products to choose from than would even be possible in classical retail.

2) Increased acceptance of non-physical goods: Game downloads, streaming services, even purely cosmetic virtual goods. Especially relevant to crypto and a much harder sell when our online lifes didn't matter as much to most people. What is now called NFTs are a prime example of this. While I have doubts that much will come of it (at least in its current iteration) and they seem crazy to most people even today, a decade ago this concept would not even have warranted public discussion, except for in the most fringe of communities (like, you know, Bitcointalk).

Internet is just a piece of digitalization we are experiencing now and this is just an effect of having a more modern technology day by day and how the businesses and governments are implementing in into the society. Now we are seeing people used in offices and we have seen it involve through this pandemic where a lot of the company's work force are on a work from home setup showing that both the internet and other equipment make it possible that employees can work even without going to their offices.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

Lazy might be another word but I think the best word for it is "more convenient" E-commerce was something that bloom and now we are seeing malls and supermarkets empty as they can now do their shopping through their mobile phones. People want this as a lot of people value their time and online shopping made it possible that they can save their time by shopping online.

The internet depends on how one uses it, with all kinds provided, regardless of making someone lazy or not, it comes back to the user. the internet is just a tool to make it easier for someone to do something. What used to be your job writing on paper, can now be easily typed. that's a simple example.
so the internet can make work easier from difficult to light. as for lazy sentences only for people who use the internet that does not produce anything, be it financial or intellectual.
