I am just curious to know his last words,  if he had said anything to the community.

His last post on the forum was an announcement of a new Bitcoin version release. It didnt really have the feel of a parting post; it is suspected that he left because Andresen was scheduled to speak with (feel free somebody to correct me if I'm wrong here but I believe it was) the CIA. That and the whole association with WikiLeaks got him paranoid that the government would soon be after his identity.

I just think its kind of amazing that he somehow knew bitcoin was not only going to succeed but be revolutionary. I doubt many people beside himself at the time had confidence that it would go on to have a multi-billion dollar market cap and be as transformative to finance as it currently is.

The timing of his disappearance from the public eye was more or less perfect, and its doubtful he will ever return. Why risk screwing up a good thing you got going?
It's good to know that he left the community improving bitcoin thus releasing a better version of bitcoin. He was a man of instincts which is why he left the community without making any noise.
Unfortunately, people are using bitcoin not because they like the technology but because it is making them money through it's volatility.
Sad to see that people are using bitcoin for not it was meant to be but just because it's making them money.

Is that how bitcoin was started being used for illegal activities ?

~snip~
Can you imagine how famous he could be if he were able to prove that he is the real Satoshi?

Real Satoshi would not go through the noise like Craig did. He (real Satoshi) will just sign a message from one of his publicly known PGP that's it. No drama, nothing. Craig has nothing to prove so he took the path to create the noise. I can't imagine how shameless a person could be. Real Satoshi must be laughing at this joker.

But the most interesting drama yet to come, where Mr. McAfee said on a tweet he knows who Satoshi is and he will reveal soon.
If you listen to McAfee then some day you will become a mad one like him. I don't really take his words that much seriously.

Also just an attention-seeking attempt by a known narcissist in the crypto space. He doesn't have any information and is likely just trolling Calvin Ayre and CSW. If he had real information he would disclose it instead of just saying he had it. I bet McAfee's claim is a big pile of nothing.

However, a useful post for newbie. Here is few important link which would help newbie to understand who was satoshi. Although few peoples claim themselves as satoshi but eventually they become failure. Perhaps we will see more drama about it. But I think satoshi have enough proof to proved himself if he like to come out.

So according to the data you provided, the last message/communication he did with the online world was

Is this right? Was he last active on March 7, 2014 at 1:17 after which he vanished?

No, his email attached to his ning forum account had been hacked prior to this message and it is believed the hacker wrote it. The last communication from Satoshi was likely an email to Gavin Andresen in 2011.

Right, Satoshi's uses GMX account to announce bitcoin in the P2P foundation. But as Theymos announced here, most likely that account is hacked:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/satoshingmxcom-is-compromised-775174

It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context.  WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us.

Despite the fact that I don't agree with all this information but to a great extent one can fund some useful information from this post, I believe newbies will learn from this about the santoshi identity and activities as it relate to the development of bitcoin and it functions.

Why someone claims to be Satoshi without cryptographic proof?
The reasons why Craig claims to be Satoshi is to get famous and the second thing is to create "hype" of his coin BSV.

Now ask all those fake Satoshi (Craig S Wright BS) to post a message using the PGP key and prove that he is what he claims LOL
That's so crazy . Why someone claims to be Satoshi without cryptographic proof?

Because it's Craig S Wright and he has some mental issues I think :-P

I am not sure about this to comment. We really do not have any clue about the real Satoshi and his activities. Whoever he is, I pray he is in good health and shape.

Well in that case, do we know any info about what Satoshi would have said to Gavin before his identity went into oblivion.

It is interesting that after all these years, we are still curious about Satoshi's identity. Here is some clue:

Samoa Titans Hook
Quote
Hamasaki Ottoson
Shimaoka Toaston
Sanasith Okamoto
Sakamoto Tonisha
Tools

Let's not derail this thread to guess Satoshi's identity, but to admire his work in the early Bitcoin development. Good job OP for providing good UX to access Nakamoto Institute materials.

All those who were claiming to be Satoshi after BTC became great are just some greedy bastards trying to create hype for the shitcoins.
If you ask yourself Why would Satoshi want to be known now and yet back then She/he/they tried all She/he/they could to be anonymous knowing that it would derail a dream he/she/they created 10 years ago?
