Come original.

We decided to use Tilt as our host platform because, even though they don't have bitcoin directly integrated yet, they actively encourage its use while still accepting traditional payment methods.

Good luck, but how can Tilt actively encourage its use but not accept it? I think the best way to actively encourage bitcoin would be to actually implement it. Surely using a platform that accepts bitcoin would also be a better solution?

Watch the first two minutes of the film here.

Hey everybody! I'm a filmmaker that lives and works in Los Angeles. I am also a bitcoiner. Recently I was in Buenos Aires and decided to make a short documentary about the impact of bitcoin there. The film, "Bitcoin: Buenos Aires" just premiered at the Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo in Raleigh, North Carolina. The crowd really liked it and, although I may be biased, I think it's pretty awesome!

Before I went down the road of making this movie I thought very hard about how to finance its creation. Do I try Kickstarter, find angel investors, issue a digital token? In the end, I decided to shoot first, ask questions later.

So, to help partially fund this film (that I've already personally paid to make) I am taking a page from Vitalik Buterin. Before he created Bitcoin Magazine, Vitalik was one of the first people to write about bitcoin. In the early days what he would do is write an article, then only release a small part of it. Next, he would accept bitcoin donations until he reached a target. Upon reaching that goal, the entire article would be published. I figure if that model is good enough for one of the creators of Ethereum, then it should be good enough for us.

Join our "Proof-of-Production" crowdfunding campaign on (Crowd)Tilt.

We decided to use Tilt as our host platform because, even though they don't have bitcoin directly integrated yet, they actively encourage its use while still accepting traditional payment methods.

The campaign will feature a host of rewards based on contribution level. Want to be credited as Executive Producer on the film? Go for it! Once we reach our goal, then the film will be released shortly thereafter!

I can't wait to share this film. And, maybe even more importantly, I can't wait to make more! Whether we reach our crowdfunding goal or not, the film will be released when the campaign expires. We're just looking for a way to make the process market driven and economically viable. Hopefully this works!
