I want to say, it does not matter whether it's good or bad, it's just that more people can not take the pressure, and think it's not something related to altcoin so it's better to move this out of the topic. So for me, it depends on your trust.

I see a HUGE opportunity in the world of advertising where google and facebook dominate. This looks like a really good project that can benefit advertisers and consumers. I would love to get targeted wit ads I am interested and get paid to watch them lol

A hot topic and in my opinion there are two sides that tend to have the same strength and effect, only in the opposite direction. On the positive side, this frantic search for wanting attention from investors in crypto is interesting because it is new and many people are not aware of or distrust the quality of the crypto's possibilities. Now, on the negative side this ends up overloading and overvaluing the knowledge generating false expectations and illusions in investors. I believe that neutrality in the dissemination can add positive benefits to a future prosperous of the crypto.

The crazed battle for our attention is having a very negative affect on the
Planet through Consumerism and commercialism. We are being bombarded
with ads on a daily basis for items we think we need.

Thats a good article, it lists all the channels where we are targeted.

Basic Attention Token (BAT) is attempting to solve this problem. It's attempting to tokenize a unit of attention. My making a browser (Brave, its very good), that natively blocks ads, advertisers are required to pay Attention Tokens to users for their attention to their ads.

This solves a number of issues, such as the battle between publishers and advertisers about faking metrics (fake clicks, bots etc), as well as includes the viewer into the payment ecosystem. It's a pretty elegant solution if you ask me. Let me know if you want to know more.

I heard of them. I'm a bigger fan of algebraix since they have an app. IMO that makes it easier to target people since they're on a device and makes it easier for mass adoption. I downloaded their app and the UI is pretty cool.

Usually, when you browse the internet you have to deal with numerous ads than can be really annoying, unless you have downloaded an extension to block these ads. This new model lets you choose if you want to see these ads and compensate you for that. This is more fair and interesting for internet users. At the same time, advertisers know for sure that their ads are seen by real people. It's a win-win situation.

I think it really brings up good points about the world of advertising and how that's evolving very quickly. He made a good point here:

"Effective permission-based networks like QVC on TV, Craig’s List or Yelp on the Web, or Groupon on mobile phones can and do exist — and they prosper. Permission-based ads work.

And it should not be surprising. Advertising is a natural aspect of consumption. Shoppers like to window shop, consumers like choice and advertising opens up a door to the possibilities. We shouldn’t feel the urge to slam that door shut."

As a consumer that faithfully uses adblocker, I see the need for this because while we are blockcing ads, we aren't helping the ecosystem, only damaging it. Gotta check out Algebraix
