I think this is not related with Facebook Company. Facebook companies get results from millions of people who use it.
So far bitcoin has risen up for 2 years so it's only natural if the price is currently down and we don’t have to worry about the price, it will recover and take a little time.
So I think it has no relation with the Facebook Company.

I think the crypto's apocalypse is not possible, because the nature of the electronic currency is impossible to destroy. If you want to destroy electronic money, you must first destroy the internet

Crypto currency can not constantly grow in price. She needs periods of falling and stagnation. It's all right. After the December price increase, bitcoin went to a deep correction and now we expect the rise of the crypto-currency market again. Therefore, while there is time, it is better to purchase cheap coins and secure a profit for the future.

News will come and go, good or bad. One thing is for sure. Bitcoin is open to everyone, blockchain is the best thing to happen to technology in this century after internet. Cryptos will keep falling and rising after all these news.

The already bad red market will not last very long. So no need to worry. BTC raise the selling price around 14% -18% and that's only natural if there the price was decreased like few days ago. And inexperienced investors will be scared and panicked because of the continuous decrease price then sold what he held so far.

How good that this forum started talking about the CryptoApocalypse. The more screams "All is lost" I see, the closer the feeling that the turn of the bitcoin market is close   Smiley

What is going on to the market? The prices had gone down sharply, especially Etherium at -12.47% and Bitcoin at -8.14% and there seems no stop to that decrease, as for now. Any idea what could have happened? Some news affected the rate, or maybe it's just the overall market mood.

P.S. Maybe it has nothing to do with that, but Facebook shares grew quite a lot in the recent 48 hours.
As we know that the the situation of bitcoin is not very good and this thing is not only with bitcoin but for all the crypto currencies and for all other crypto currencies except bitcoin , the fall in deflating May be because of the fall in the valuation of bitcoin because they all depends on the valuation of bitcoin only but we can’t judge the destruction of the entire crypto world on the temporary deflation in the valuation of crypto, the pump and dumps are very common in all investment so in the crypto also.

Everyone sells on the rumor, and buys on the news. It can be so described what is happening in the capital markets, in the stock markets and in the crypto currency markets. A lot of geopolitics, economics and speculation. The effect of such a cocktail can not be predicted, unless you control it yourself.
The market is so fed up with people who are able to make good rumors and intend that this is happening and make it fud and then stupid ones are there too who don’t research about it. Rather they just sell their coins on low prices even just to stabilize and save their income. But they don’t know every crypto comes out again after sometime. Just need to be patient and relax.

The effect will be definitely positive. Trump started a war at the same time with all. But it is impossible to win the war against all. He wanted to make America great in name only. His actions are aimed at the destruction of all that the Americans have achieved over the years. This means that America and other countries are waiting for another crisis. I am sure that at such moments cryptocurrency can bring huge profits.

It seems that you are under control of bad news about bitcoin spreaded across social media and websites. This is a natural thing if bitcoin and ethereum selling price decreased because for 2 years both selling prices were rising.
And on 6/30/2018 the price of bitcoin and ethereum had recovered. The slow price decrease stopped on 6/30/2018 and that's good news for all of us.

Yes everything in crypto is on downtrend as of now.We dont know when it will rise up again but theres no crypto apocalypse thingy. Its just in this days its not in good status but surely it will be back and rise up more than what we are expected.Lets be positive in all things so that we can hold ourself not to do actions that might affect our decisions and can cause regrets in the end.

There are practically no fundamental factors that have so strongly affected the price of the cryptocurrency. The current situation in the world of cryptocurrencies is probably only a temporary phenomenon, after which we will return to growth.

True, the market really looms bloody as heck today. But then again, i kinda expected this after the hit the crypto currencies took this early on the year. I really think that we can still recover by the 3rs quarter and really boost everything b ythe end of the year. Just HOLD on to your portfolio. Or if you want, since the market is down, buy more to strengthen your holdings.

My opinion? It may take a whole for everything to stabilize. I mean we took a huge hit on the first quarter. The second quarter we will see dios and raises here and there until it stablizes by the third quarter and really break records by the last quarter. I mean we don't have to worry. We've seen much bigger dips than this

Well in my opinion this market situation the price are  decrease and increase it's a normal for me, we know that all crypto are volatile specially the bitcoin price. We  have nothing to do on what's happening in the market, don't worry about what happened if it's falling, I'm sure it will rise again. Just relax and wait, we will see what will be happen, just think of it as an opportunity.

Apocalypse? Well, Bitcoin is moving around 7-9K for a while now, decreasing on the last days yes but nothing new in terms of volatility of the crypto market.

MARKET IS VOLATILE, anything can happened at any given time, patient is the key in this kind of market movement, if you look back this was already in the market preview on crypto market movement on the treed, Bitcoin was hit by a lot of issues like BANNED,SCAMMER, and NOW issues on REGULATION by the government who are looking into the current entry of crypto into the business community, all of this information affect the level of confidence of the investors, the lesser investment could result to either drops in the market price Bitcoin, but i am optimistic that market will correct itself soon. fundamental of Bitcoin is Still strong.this just a market movement at this time.Lets be patient.

The media appears to have an unlimited supply of "news stories" to depress the value of btc and crypto currencies everytime the price begins to appreciate in value. Some say bitcoin is banned in china and india. Others say bitcoin is not banned in those places. I'm not 100% certain if bitcoin is banned in either of those places, but I do know news of it being "banned" is likely to push the value of bitcoin down.

One of the recent declines came after news of india "banning" bitcoin.

Perhaps the media is the largest opposition to bitcoin's price appreciating as expected. We have a wrestling match between journalists and btc. Hopefully as time passes people will catch on to how the media is one of the biggest causes of market manipulation and negative news sentiment will have a reduced effect.

I think this is a harbinger of market growth, because prices have been depressed for a long time, and we are tired of falling.

Bitcoin and other alts losing ~10% is not a huge problem that would cause chaos. If you check the price chart of Bitcoin you'll see that there's more bigger dips than what we are experiencing now. The only reason you're saying this is because you're still new and haven't seen the price lose more than this. This is just the start if this is the first time you've seen crypto having bad days and prepare for more of these so you won't over react next time.

The Apocalypse is quite a big word which the user has associated with crypto. Crypto Apocalypse will mean that everyone is running from crypto market and everything is destroyed people are running for their money and every currency is on the corner of getting destroyed. But luckily things like these have never taken place and probably will never take place considering the development of new coins and acceptance by various companies it shows the bright future rather than the Apocalypse of crypto.

all you have to do is to be patient. It happens almost every year and people want to dump their coins in order to collect many cheap coins. If you sell your coin, you will contribute to the dump and suffer a huge loss. You need to understand that cryptocurrency will soon become a part of our world. Therefore, we need to keep buying and holding

I think it's natural, because indeed in the market conditions always show up and down the price, I agree with you, if the price continues to rise there may be no traders who buy, that there may be they will continue to sell. In my opinion, going up and down is a natural thing.

Don't be worried because market has always ups and downs. As of now, we should keep patience on holding our coins and buy some coins in the market. Apocalypse will not happen, if all of us will hold and buy coins in cryptocurrency market.

LOL at Facebook shares gaining--this is a company based on appropriating your personal data and enslaving millions of people in the social media trap and a company that will likely never pay a dividend.

As far as bitcoin goes, these are normal fluctuations although the drop from the ATH was pretty steep.  ETH is probably a screaming buy at this point, as are some of the bigger-name altcoins.  If only I had a few thousand dollars to play with.

There's been a worse red market not so long time ago, so relax. I think all the following year each time BTC will increase in price by 15-20% it will drop right away, because non-experienced holders, who invested in BTC when it was about 20k and were scared by what happened then in Jan-Feb 2018 will sell it.

I doubt that there is a correlation between facebook's share prices, and bitcoin prices. Even though facebook has indeed banned crypto ads, it shouldn't result in such a massive and dramatic inverse correlation all of a sudden.

What we're seeing right now is merely a continuation of the bear market from the start of the year.

There was a pretty big rally last month that got people out and FOMO buying - but if you look at the long term cycle of bitcoin prices, there is still a long way to go before the recovery comes.

I would not call it an apocalypse at all, it's something that is expected as it is simply a part of the bear market that bitcoin goes through every so often. Plus, price has not been as volatile as the 2014 crash if you compare historical data.

I think that whoever gives out specifically has brought down Kriptorynok. The most optimistic guess is that it is due to the fact that whoever gives out wants to do well and to buy a lot, and to visit a very cheerful guess, it is that whoever gives out wants to "close" the market, as he, interferes with his interests.

In my opinion you are also affected by the news and posts in social media about Cryptocurrency because the current down trend looks normal for me, and you don't need any kind of explanation for that. When the market is down you think that every news and FUD is affecting the prices to go down but if its on a up trend you think that good news are affecting it to go up, but the truth is when we are talking about cryptocurrency prices the only thing we can trust is their charts in which we can base our predictions on.

this drop may have been the result of the news about US launching an investigation into manipulation in cryptocurrency markets. and because people knew that there is lots of manipulation around they panicked an started selling and caused the latest drops. and whenever that happens to bitcoin the others follow it harder like it is a race Cheesy

however, i wouldn't still call this "apocalypse"!

Hahaha. Maybe you posted this 'CRYPTO APOCALYPSE" thread because you are one of the newbies panicking right now saying "Bitcoin has no stop in dropping, it will go down WAAAAAAA!!!!". If you are new to bitcoin then you need to know that this is just a massive market correction and its normal and in fact, it gives us the opportunity to accumulate more coins. Buy the dip lols.

It just the natural market mood. If you are conversant with the market, you will notice that some times it goes up, sometimes, it goes down. Recently there haven't been any FUDs that might  cause the price down..so it's just a normal market float. You shouldn't be expecting the price of bitcoin to always go up without going down.

Reasons for these things are really unknown at this point. Some says that it is just the normal correction and some say that the technical analysis is proving that it is the bearish trend where we have entered when we dropped below the 8K USD. Some of them are saying that this could even follow down to prices of 6000 USD which is the base price of this year or a support line for the Bitcoin and thus rest of the altcoins are also in the critical situation due to that.

However unlike the honest investors in the forum I will also suggest that dont be FUDer in this bad timing and try to be stubborn on your trades. Hold and save the crypto currency falling below unexpected lines.  Smiley

Off course it has got nothing to do with the Facebook at all. The crypto currency is really volatile and there are many FUD's going on that exchangers are manipulating the prices of the bitcoin and other crypto currencies in the market. But that is not true thing and its just FUD as I stated earlier. The real fact is that due to such FUD's market gets into the critical situation and when it comes to the weak handed peeps then they start panicking about the whole situation and thus they start selling off everything they have got on board. Thus the mega drop follows.  Tongue

I'm not really trying to be harsh on you or anything like that, but if you get scared about such movements in the market which by the way are completely normal for a currency like bitcoin then I do not know if the market of cryptocurrencies is the market where you should be, maybe you should feel more comfortable investing in the stocks market, after all it seems that you're watching it taking into account your comment that Facebook stocks grew in value, maybe you will feel more comfortable if you invested in such a market instead of this one.

A few percent change on a given crypto's price is somewhat normal given the volatility these coins are expressing ever since a lot of people flooded the cryptospace. We have had worse runs and corrections in the past yet we still managed to get past through it. The series of impending bans from China, crackdown on ICOs and multiple negative comments and statements of billionaires toward bitcoin and crypto somewhat added to the fire and selling pressure. Overall though, we're still in a good shape, with the bullish sentiment remaining in the background while the bearish mood seem to be taking control subtly.

The price of bitcoin fell by only a dozen percent, and this is an apocalypse? This is not even written, when he after the December increase fell as much as 70 percent. To big volatility bitcoin need to get used to and treat calmly. Bitcoin falls in price because it wants to fall. Here hundreds of different conflicting circumstances work simultaneously. You want to find the main reason for this fall. It simply can not be. The course of bitcoin can be a reflection of thousands of different small causes. So relax. When bitcoin wants to grow in price, he will do it.

You can't uphold anything if what is the market going to do. We just have to wait and see whether it is the dip on that we could buy and simply wait for a mini bullrun to sell.

there seems no stop to that decrease, as for now.

When Bitcoin price was going $10k, $12k, $14k, $16k, $18k in the space of a few weeks, there seemed like there was no stopping the bullrun. The market always seems like it will continue in its current trend, until it doesn't.

There is no reason to panic if you still believe in the technology and the innovation. Stop checking the price and come back in a month or two.

Is this clickbait or is it overreacting?I don`t see any drama in the current price decrease,I was expecting that the bearish trend will continue during the summer and I was right.
If the btc price goes down to 1000 USD ,you are free to post about a crypto apocalypse.
